Zhu Hexuan eyes widened, and she screamed without a care, "I'm not! I'm not a p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.e!"

What would happen if this news got out?

At least nobody knew of her current situation and she still had a loincloth to cover up her shame. Once it was reported to the police and ended up in the news, she would lose whatever reputation and face she had left. It would all be gone!

Zhu Hexuan looked at Zhao Zhide hurriedly, wanting to tell him that if the police came and this matter was blown up, it would not reflect well on him too!

Zhao Zhide narrowed his eyes, and said, "Sheng Yue is so arrogant, are you bullying your customers because you're a big hotel? My friend's behavior may not be appropriate, but we did not do anything illegal. They are just a normal couple, is that not allowed?"

"Is that so?" Yan Beicheng laughed coldly. "Let's wait for the police to come and investigate before we conclude anything then. Let's see what this lady's identity is, what has she done, and whether or not if they are a normal couple."

Sheng Yue's service personnel had already led the other customers back to their seats in a professional manner and gifted a bottle of red wine to each table as a token of apology.

There were not many customers in the lobby, hence Yan Beicheng was not afraid that others would hear. He continued, "Miss Zhu was attacking my wife just now. The police would need to ask some questions on why and what were her motives."

Zhao Zhide held in his anger, he was clenching his teeth and seemed to be considering fighting his way out. The security guards by the side went up to circle them.

Yan Beicheng said lightly, "I know President Zhao knows friends from the other side. Coincidentally, I also know people. Before you seek help, ask them first if they fear the Wen Family. If they aren't, they are welcome to come to Sheng Yue and fight."

In this day and age, how would anybody dare to open and operate a hotel without any support?

Zhao Zhide was stunned, unsure if it was because Yan Beicheng knew who he was, or did he fear the Wen Family.

Even though he would not be able to bring down Sheng Yue, he did think of asking a few friends to come and create trouble every few days. However, he put a stop to those thoughts upon mention of the Wen Family.

The Fatty did not think that Yan Beicheng would know Zhu Hexuan and Zhao Zhide. Would he know who was he too?

Regardless, he was already out of luck.

It seemed like Sheng Yue is on the losing end to not want to do business with them, even pushing the customers out their door. However, Sheng Yue did not need their business to survive.

Sheng Yue is well known in the country, and those who came here to talk business or treat their business associates are all people with status. He was very happy when Zhao Zhide organized the business discussion and dinner to be at Sheng Yue. He had a good first impression as he felt that the other party was sincere, and he was given face. If he was the one to treat his customers, he would do the same too.

Now that Sheng Yue did not want to service them, next time when he wanted to treat his customers at another hotel, his customers might think he did not take them seriously. If tonight's matter went out to the public, it would be more difficult for him to discuss business in the future.

It was said that the Eight Dominant Families were united, and the younger heirs had a particularly strong bond with each other.

If they heard anything from Yan Beicheng, they might also not do business with them. Then there would not be many high status and prominent places to do business meetings anymore in B City.

She raised her head and flipped her hair aside. Her cheek that was slapped had swelled up and was red as if boiling water had scalded it. It was perhaps that Fatty's fingers were too fat, there were no fingermark bruises, only a patch of red.

"Why did you go asking for trouble!" Fatty pointed at her and scolded hatefully. He apologized to Yan Beicheng, "Master Yan, it is our fault for what happened today. We will not protect this woman who went looking for trouble, we will pass her to you as our apology and you can do whatever you want with her. As for both of us, please forgive us this time."

Yan Beicheng could not be bothered at all, he only told the security guard, "Please bring the three of them out so that they don't disturb our customers."

Zhao Zhide's expression was sullen. He had no choice but to lower his head and said, "Master Yan, we were at wrong for what happened. Please give us face and don't take offense with us. If you need any help in the future, just let us know."

Yan Beicheng looked at him with an indifferent expression. Before he could reply, a cold and proud voice said, "Who are you for us to give face? Just because you know a small Green Leaf Gang, you dare to threaten us?"

Everybody looked over. It was the Wei brothers, Wei Ziqi and Wei Zilin. Both of them were walking in.

Wei Ziqi greeted Yan Beicheng and Lin Chu and explained, "We were passing by and saw both of you at the entrance, so we came in to say hi."

Yan Beicheng nodded his head, and heard Wei Ziqi continued, "Share these two persons' information with us later so we can all get to know and recognize them."

This meant that they would all unite to boycott Zhao Zhide and Fatty.

Zhao Zhide's facial expression changed to fear and regret. It would be terrifying if the Eight Dominant Families unite together.

Even though he was never at the same level to do business with the Eight Dominant Families, but if the news got out, he would have difficulties securing partnersh.i.p.s with his business peers. Many parties would be involved and there would be many impediments. 

Listening to Wei Ziqi's tone, he really was not concerned with the Green Leaf Gang.

Zhao Zhide started to feel nervous. The security guard was about to lead them out when Zhu Hexuan who was still on the ground suddenly crawled to Lin Chu's legs.

Zhu Hexuan grasped onto Lin Chu's leg and pleaded, "Lin Chu, help me, please forgive me this time. My heart was blinded which made me do stupid things. I did not mean it. Lin Chu, I beg you, please forgive me this time."

Lin Chu felt it was unbelievable. Zhu Hexuan's words were at hand. If what she did was not intentional, then what was intentional?

Every time Zhu Hexuan did something wrong or bad, and she was not caught, she would feel proud thinking that she had won and would continue to be excessive; but if she was caught, she would immediately cry and beg for forgiveness. As long as she was forgiven, she would continue to do bad things. She would never think of how many times had she been forgiven. Did that mean people should naturally forgive you and take no offense, regardless of what bad things you did?

When one has reached the end of forbearance and would not forgive her anymore, Zhu Hexuan would blame you for being calculative, cold-hearted and not taking into consideration the relationship they shared.

In summary, one ought to have forgiven her, one ought to have let her continue hurting you, everything revolved around Zhu Hexuan with her in the middle. No matter how she had hurt you, you should never be angry and ought to forgive her, otherwise, you lack empathy.

Lin Chu could not express what she felt right now and only looked coldly at Zhu Hexuan who was grasping her leg.

Yan Beicheng felt that Zhu Hexuan was an eyesore, what if she felt hopeless and had evil intentions again?

He hugged Lin Chu tightly at her shoulders to protect her and raised his leg to kick Zhu Hexuan in the shoulder. She staggered backward and almost flipped.

Lin Chu felt sad in her heart. When they were young in the orphanage, her relationship with Zhu Hexuan had never been considered good, they had always disliked each other.

She was so young and did not know a lot of things and was always arguing with Zhu Hexuan. When the orphanage gave out snacks to the children, she would keep it first and waited for Zhu Hexuan to finish eating. She would then take out her snack and ate it slowly in front of Zhu Hexuan to tease her. 

There was once she was not around, and Zhu Hexuan took the opportunity to secretly looked for Lin Chu's chocolate and ate it. The chocolate was distributed by the orphanage, and Lin Chu could not bear to eat it and kept it. Thinking back now, the chocolate was not delicious as it was made from cocoa butter replacer. It was very hard, difficult to melt and particularly greasy; but it was the most delicious sweet during those moments. 

Lin Chu was so angry that she went and hit Zhu Hexuan. Since then, they never spoke or bothered with each other when they met.

After growing up, such childhood memories were surprisingly fond. In her heart, she had treated Zhu Hexuan as her childhood companion, giving her very good memories from her childhood days.

She did not know when did her relationship with Zhu Hexuan turned so bad like now.

Lin Chu could not help to think if she was at fault for not doing something right.

However, looking at Zhu Hexuan now, Lin Chu never had that thought anymore.

She looked at Zhu Hexuan, who was kicked back and now sitting on the floor fl.u.s.tered, and asked, "Do you know I'm pregnant?"

Zhu Hexuan was stunned, her eyes rolled and immediately shook her head and said, "Don't know, I didn't know. You…you're pregnant? I didn't know, Lin Chu. If I knew, I would never have done that. I'm…sorry, sorry, please forgive me! Lucky…lucky you're alright, you are not hurt, please forgive me. I guarantee that I will be like this anymore. I really…really did not mean it!"

It was because Lin Chu was not hurt, and Zhu Hexuan did not cause any horrible consequences, so she should not be wronged.

Lin Chu felt resentful in her heart. Zhu Hexuan's eyes were bright, how could she not know?

Fatty and Zhao Zhide were not fools. Zhao Zhide had a good relationship with the underworld gang and could use them to threaten Zhu Hexuan. Being jackals from the same lair, Fatty was no good character too.

It was ironic that both of them were asking Yan Beicheng to give them face; how could their face be enough to compensate for Yan Beicheng's child's life!

Fatty kicked Zhu Hexuan at the back of her head. Zhu Hexuan was not prepared for it and fell forward, her forehead smashing hard onto the marble floor. She saw stars and her sight went black and could not see anything clearly, only feeling something hot flowing down from her forehead.

She was bleeding from her forehead; the blood covered her eyes and nose and it was a distressing sight.

The smash confused Zhu Hexuan. She had yet to realize that she was bleeding from her forehead, she only felt her head was spinning and she could not wake up from it.

Fatty could not let it go. He had suffered a huge loss tonight, and it was all because of this stupid woman.

"You are a jinx!" Fatty kicked Zhu Hexuan on her back!

His kick was particularly cruel. If he continued, Zhu Hexuan might die.

"Stop it!" Lin Chu shouted.

Fatty was kicking in rage. He was not listening and scolded incessantly, "You b*tch! If you want to die, don't bring me along! Tonight is the unluckiest day in my whole life, how did I even meet such a jinx!"

Zhu Hexuan finally regained some consciousness and immediately felt extreme pain. She hugged her head, curled up on the ground shouting in pain, shouting for help, shouting to be forgiven, shouting for him to stop.

Yan Beicheng felt that it was not good to have this happening at the hotel's entrance. He signaled to the guards to pull away Fatty and dragged the three of them outside of the hotel to an inconspicuous corner.

Not long after, the police arrived. They were shocked seeing the three of them in a mess, especially Zhu Hexuan.

Yan Beicheng casually pointed to Fatty and Zhao Zhide and said, "It was an internal conflict amongst the trio, they fought themselves. Our security guards merely pulled them away. I could not bear to see them and hence brought them here. I suspect that these two men and lady were conducting inappropriate business in our hotel premises, and when it was exposed, they started to pass the buck. This lady here was beaten by this gentleman."

Yan Beicheng pointed at Zhu Hexuan, then at Fatty.

The police inhaled sharply. As Zhu Hexuan was closing to losing consciousness, they could only bring her to the hospital and record her statement later. Zhao Zhide and Fatty were brought to the police station. 

It was finally peaceful after everything was settled.

Seeing that there's nothing else for them to help, Wei Ziqi and Wei Zilin left but not forgetting to remind Yan Beicheng, "I was not joking when I said for you to share their information with all of us."

"I know," Yan Beicheng laughed. He patted Wei Ziqi's shoulder, and said, "Thank you."

Wei Ziqi sneered as he felt Yan Beicheng was at ceremony with him and he did not like it. Yan Beicheng was aware of Wei Ziqi's temperament and did not bother to be formal with him. He casually waved both of them to leave fast.

Lin Chu was stumped. Wei Ziqi did not sneer anymore and left happily with Wei Zilin. Suddenly she felt that Wei Ziqi was a bit…contemptible?

Yan Beicheng apologized to the customers for what happened tonight.

The customer shook his head, and congratulated, "We can't blame you for being so angry. Congratulations on being parents soon."

Yan Beicheng laughed. The customer did not mind the small interlude. After leaving, Yan Beicheng brought Lin Chu to the car.

In the car, he did not start to drive and only looked at Lin Chu without blinking his eyes.

Lin Chu turned to look at him. After a while, she heard him said, "It scared me tonight." 

Lin Chu nodded, she dared not look at Yan Beicheng. Her head bowed down like a little kid who had done something wrong.

If she did not come to look for him, then all these would never have happened.

Yan Beicheng held her hand, it was only then his heart felt steady holding her physically.

"Why did you think of coming to look for me tonight?" Yan Beicheng asked.

Lin Chu stuck her tongue out and replied guiltily, "I finished dinner and suddenly felt a strong craving for Lanzhou Ramen so I came out. I know that you wouldn't allow me to eat street food, so I thought to come to Sheng Yue and have them cook for me and coincidentally you came out."

Lin Chu did not dare to look at Yan Beicheng, her head stayed low. She did not hear a reply from him and felt very guilty. She quickly tugged Yan Beicheng's hand and said, "You…you… don't be angry! I won't come out alone anymore, and I won't go to crowded places. I will ask somebody to accompany me when I come out next time. Don't… don't get angry. I was almost scared to death tonight too. I was thinking…what if…what if…"

Lin Chu could not help crying as she said. Even though she was safe now, but she could not shake off the horrified feeling from earlier on. 

She felt remorseful, it was because of her willfulness that their baby almost met with danger. She was not qualified. She should have been more mature and be more careful. She took for granted the love and pampering that the two elders and Yan Beicheng showered her with, and hence was ignorant to be careful and alert.

"I won't be so willful anymore…"

She did not finish her words and was embraced by Yan Beicheng. Yan Beicheng hugged her tightly, his lips kissing the corner of her eye. He said, "Don't cry, I am not blaming you. It's just that I was shocked that's why I could not speak."
