The Otherworldly Adventures of a Super Naive Girl Chapter 85

Confession of love? Feng Wu didn’t understand. “What is a confession of love?” The people in her new world were very indirect and often used vague words when speaking. Back with Master, people spoke much more clearly and bluntly, so a word like ‘confession’ didn’t exist for her. She had never heard the word before.

“Letting someone know your feelings, that you like them, is a confession.” He felt at a loss. How could this girl be so simple? If it weren’t for her serious face, he would have thought she was just pulling his leg.

“A love letter is needed to convey feelings for someone?” Feng Wu thought about Ming Xi. (Did he reject me because I didn’t write him a love letter?)

The green-haired boy was stumped – again. He only replied after thinking it over. “No, it’s not necessary. But most girls are shy. It’s just the most popular way for them to declare their affections for someone.”

Feng Wu nodded her head. She understood now. (Senior Ming Xi rejected my proposal because I wasn’t shy enough. I have to be more restrained.)

Feng Wu had never pursued a guy before. Thinking how to go about it made her head ache.

“Oh right. I’m Ink. Let’s be friends. Next time you don’t understand something, feel free to ask me OK?”

Feng Wu dutifully replied. “I’m Feng Wu.”

“Yeah I know. You live with that tomboy Xi in the dorms. She told me about you.” Ink and Xi got along well.

“I will come and ask you again.”

“Huh? Wait what? Ask me what?”

“Didn’t you say to come and ask you if I had any questions.” Feng Wu’s originally expressionless face became distressed. Her eyes started getting red. How could he go back on his words so fast.

“Ah! Yes! Yes! Anytime! Come and ask me anytime!” Ink frantically nodded his head. Feng Wu looked like she was on the verge of tears. To make a girl cry was grave sin! His older sister told him he would never get married if he ever made a girl cry. Ink thought of himself as a good guy and so he’d never had to deal with a crying girl before. But now one was about to cry because of him. He panicked. His arms became strange things he didn’t know what to do with.

“Please don’t cry!” As long as she didn’t cry, he’d answer a hundred thousand questions.

“I won’t cry.” Feng Wu blinked. Her eyes were bloodshot but she didn’t shed any tears.

Ink was relieved. After saying a few more things the two went their separate ways. Ink met up with his team to complete their mission because unlike Feng Wu and Jier, he didn’t have time to be idle.

Feng Wu walked alone back to her room. It just so happened that Jier’s class let out at the same time. He waved hello then walked over to her.

“Xiao Wu! Why do you look so glum? Did someone bully you?” This was a rhetorical question. He didn’t really believe anyone had the ability to bully someone as fierce as her.

“No one is bullying me. I’m just thinking about a problem.”

“Oh? What problem are you thinking about?” This simple little sister of his had problems?

Feng Wu decided to ask for help from her friend. “Do you know how to write a love letter?”

“Love letter?! Who do you want to write it to?” Jier was shocked. SHOCKED! To think his this little sister of his had reached an age where she wanted to write love letters.

“Senior Ming Xi.”

“You’re still thinking about marrying him?!” Surprisingly Feng Wu still hadn’t given up, despite the rejection. She didn’t seem heartbroken when they got back so he thought she was over it. He never imagined it was because she had rejected his rejection, didn’t take it to heart, and planned on pursuing her man.

“Yes. I was serious.” Feng Wu was unhappy that Jier would think she hadn’t been serious the entire time. It showed on her face. Master said: no matter what you do, do it well. She had always taken what he said to heart, so had always been diligent and serious.

“Ah… I misspoke. I misspoke. Xiao Wu is a serious and diligent child. Listen, what I have to say isn’t pleasant, but I’ll say it anyway. Ming Xi is a special person. The two of you… it’s basically impossible. It’s better to give up on him. There are so many other beautiful guys here at the school. I’m certain you’ll find another person who’ll suit you.”

Jier really was speaking for Feng Wu’s own good. They were from two different worlds. Even if they got into a relationship, that relationship would be unlikely to survive – unless Ming Xi loved her so much he would die without her.

But as far as he knew, Ming Xi wasn’t the kind of guy to fall in love. Ming Xi was quick to laugh, mild mannered, and generally nice to everyone, however he was a private person and kept everyone at arm’s length.

Jier didn’t want Feng Wu to get hurt. She was that rare kind of girl that was genuinely pure and good. The world through her eyes was crystal clear; he couldn’t bear to see it become jaded.

With total conviction Feng Wu said, “I want him to be the father of my baby.”

“Must he be?” Jier feebly asked, though he was not hopeful.

“Yes.”

Jier gave in with a sigh. “If one day you want to quit, my shoulders are always here for you to lean on.” (What she lacks in common sense, she certainly makes up for in persistence.) It was impossible to change Feng Wu’s mind once she made a decision. (Maybe she’ll give up if she gets rejected a few more times.)

“How do you write a love letter?” Feng Wu did not forget her initial question.

Jier frowned as they tried to remember how the letters he received went. After thinking hard he still couldn’t remember. It was to be expected, after all he hadn’t bothered to actually read any of them. “Wait here. I’ll try to find one for you.” He knew exactly where to go for one.

He rushed back to the dorms to find his playboy roommate. The guy received thirty love letters a day on average.

“Oh. You’re back already? Want to go grab something together?” Lu Fei had just changed into a stunning magic robe and was in the middle of styling his do when Jier showed up.

Jier was focused on a mission. He walked over and pulled Lu Fei’s hand that was holding the comb down. “Love letter. Do you have a love letter around?”

“Hey! What do you want my love letters for? You had a whole bunch the first few days. You didn’t want any of them. Now you want mine? Just so you know, I’m not into guys OK?” Lu Fei was intimidated by Jier’s intensity. He took a step back to put some distance between them. He wanted it be clear he didn’t swing that way.
