Chapter 29 Part 2

Qianxi explained with a grimace,  “It’s nothing at all.  He’s underage, about the same age as Wei Lai.  I’m not a pedophile…...and young boys won’t be interested in me either.  Look at Wei Lai, he even pours the milk I give him into the sink every day!”

Wei Lai sneezed in the kitchen.  Li Cang quickly covered his mouth.  Wei Lai looked at Cang Ge and asked with his eyes: when can we go out to eat.  Cang Ge, I’m so hungry……

Li Cang peeked outside.  Those two were still tirelessly playing the game of pretending to be jealous.

The naive Qianxi wasn’t aware that Xu Jimo was just teasing her.  She seriously explained until she almost had tears in her eyes.  Even Cheng Yang couldn’t stand it anymore, so he led Li Cang and Wai Lai out of the kitchen to interrupt.

Cheng Yang acted as if he was angry about the entire thing.  “So was that brat casting greedy eyes on our young lady boss?  Boss, buy, buy, buy, buy him to our team.  We’ll teach him proper manners.”

“Right, right, right, he hit one of us and wants to take another away?”  Li Cang rolled up his sleeves and sat down at the table.  “I’ve already had problems with him for a long time.”

Wei Lai sat down at the table.  He opened his mouth and thought about for a long time, at last he only spit out.  “......Right.”

Qianxi knocked her bowl with chopsticks in protest.  “Which side your guys are on!  You four big men can’t bully me, I’m just one girl……”

As usual, they set up the youngest first,  Li Cang and Cheng Yang pushed Wei Lai forward and echoed to each other------

“What four big men?  There’s a young boy here.  Come, the young boy is yours.”

“Right, young lady boss, don’t you like underage young boys?”

Qianxi’s face flushed into a red tomato.  “You guys are bullying a woman and child!”

The two troublemakers put their arms over each other’s shoulder, with a sleazy expression, “Aiyo~woman~”

Qianxi was so humiliated that she put down her chopsticks and walked away.

Everyone could only watch stunned as she walked into her bedroom and shut the door.   They looked at each other, scared: they were done for.  They went too far and made the young lady boss explode……

They nervously looked at their own boss who was expressionless.  He looked at them coldly. The others could only beg for forgiveness with their eyes:  We won’t tease your girlfriend from now on……

Xu Jimo put down his bowl and chopsticks, then stood up.

Just as he was going to knock on her door, the doorbell rang all of a sudden.

Li Cang hurried to open the door.  A middle aged woman with delicate makeup stood outside.   She asked with a tender and polite voice,  “May I please ask whether Qianxi is here?”

“And you are……”

She smiled.  Even the thin lines at the corner of her eyes had a reserved elegance.  “I’m her mother.”

Li Cang looked like he had just swallowed a mine.  Heaven, oh heaven…...wasn’t this Qianxi’s legendary mother, the walking gunpowder barrel? !

Qianxi heard the familiar voice inside the room.  She didn’t have time to figure out how she found her, but immediately jumped out as fast as lightning to stand in front of Li Cang.

Her mom’s expression immediately changed to a different person the moment she saw her.  Her voice was as cold as ice.  “Qianxi, go home with mom.”

Li Cang was totally stupified by her ability to instantly switch from warm to cold.  He hesitated and tried to interject.  “About that…...aunty?  Young lady boss…...oh no, Qianxi just came back from abroad.  She passed by here to eat dinner with us.  She’ll go home right way.  You see, it’s getting late.  How about we take her home later?”

Her mom was self-restrained and smiled to him.  They couldn’t tell whether she was happy or angry from her voice.  “Are you Qianxi’s friend?”

“Yes……”

Cheng Yang came to help but he had no choice but to lie.  “Right, we are all her…...college classmates.  Right.”

One lie would require one thousand more lies to cover up.  It was already getting out of control.

Qianxi fidgeted, lifting her hand to indicate to them not to explain any more.  She understood her mother best.  Every time her mom used this controlled expression and tone to speak which she thought was a friendly disposition, but she had already seen through the lie a thousand miles away.

As expected, her mom took out a packet from her bag and waved it in front of her.

That was her passport.

“Qianxi, tell mom.  How did you go to Phuket without a passport?”  Her mom had run out of patience.  Her tone suddenly turned cold.  She grabbed her wrist and pulled her out.  “Save your friends the time from lying for you.  Come home with mom.  You’ll explain in details what has happened.”
