Qianxi cleared her throat, then spoke in a professional tone.  “Esports is a new industry, but the supply chain hasn’t mature yet.  All esport teams in China basically rely on sponsors to exist, and their profitability is questionable.  Why do you think Yinyuan should invest in KG?”

Xu Jimo’s voice was low and cold.  “The National Sports Council has already recognized esports as an official sports event.  The money in the award pool for international competitions already exceeded ten million US dollars in the past two years.  It’s getting more and more mature.  I have written in the proposal that you have the naming right of sponsorship on our team logo,  flag, uniform, and all the other peripheral products……”

The entire speech was coherent and fluent, she could tell that he had already said those same words to many people before her.

To his surprise, Qianxi interrupted him in an overbearing manner.  “I know this industry has good potential, but new esports clubs are sprouting like weeds.  KG is just another new team and you’re the only one with any history, the majority of the team are new faces.  The profit from advertising has to be support by the record of a team.  How could you promise that a team like yours would have a good chance in an international tournament?”

Her clear eyes blinked once as she finished the long comment.

She was obviously quite the inexperienced young girl, yet her question was surprisingly sharp.

Xu Jimo couldn’t answer it.

The reason he became the manager was because he was the spine of the team.  As for his social skills, he was subpar compared to the average person as his usual company was his cold and silent mouse and keyboard all the time.

He clenched his fingers for a while and spoke.  “I will win.”

“How do you guarantee it?”

“......”

“Esports is a team event.  Though your ability is outstanding, one man alone is not enough to guarantee victory.”

All in all, he trusted his teammates, but he couldn’t make others believe it.

Xu Jimo moved his lips.  “All of our members have gone through very strict screening, and everyone is at the top national level.”

Qianxi retorted, “When a top ranking player turns pro, he will always be touted as at the top level.  But their ability to play doesn’t automatically transfer into esports, no new professional player will automatically start at the top.”

This was the question that he had failed against numerous investors, yet he still didn’t have a convincing answer to it.

Qianxi’s every word had hit his soft spot. Xu Jimo interrupted her in the end with a gloomy face. “TI.”

“I will win the TI championship.  This year.”

Qianxi paused.

She had done some research. TI (The International) was the international invitational competition of organized by its US creators. It was the most influential competition with one of the largest money awards. She had thought that he would make some sort of promise to earn sponsorship, but didn’t expect that he would give such an outrageous promise.

When Qianxi questioned him again, she surprisingly lost some steam from earlier.  “Then…...why should I trust you?”  Her glossy black eyes had amazing perception, it seemed to look through him.

“......”

Xu Jimo wasn’t an arrogant man, he couldn’t give a convincing reason.

The negotiation had basically come to a conclusion now.

He stood up and managed to make a last effort.  “I would appreciate if your company could consider it again.”  He nodded politely, then turned around and left.

His pair of classical almond eyes flashed before her eyes.  They were clear and lively but with a hint of disappointment.

But his slender back was very steady.

Qianxi watched his lonely black backside, suddenly she felt…...a little bit guilty.

But that guilt was quickly replaced by the feeling of accomplishment------

She turned on WeChat on her cell, opened the group of “Night Shift Nurse Group” and sent out a message.  “Ho ho! I’m done with the meeting!”

The responses quickly flooded onto the screen------”How was it?”  “Didn’t collapse under the pressure?”  “Did you make a fool of yourself?”

Qianxi gnashed her teeth and replied.  “Hey, who do you think I am?  Though I studied medicine in university, I am still a rich second generation who was raised properly.  Rich!  Second! Generation!  I most certainly have some negotiation skills!  I knocked every problem out of the park.  So easy!”

She posted a lama sticker with a pair of glasses from ten pages of stickers.  The edge of the lama’s teeth sparkled with shining gold stars!

Nonetheless, she still received a lot of cynical and sarcastic responses------”Ho ho da.”  “This baby decided not to expose you.”  “Ai yo, our little princess Qianxi is playing with us again~”

It turned out that nobody believed her……

Qianxi pushed the voice key to defend herself indignantly as she walked out of the conference room.  “This baby here could be quite in control when I show my cool and elegant side.  Nothing can stop me.  Whoever dealt with me before, then this person would know!”

She put away her cell and raised her head satisfactorily~~~~~~

Xu Jimo happened to be smoking in the hallway and heard the sentence “Whoever dealt with me before, then this person would know!”.  He turned around quietly and met her eyes.

The atmosphere quickly chilled.  Xu Jimo pulled back his eyes first and raised up the corner of his mouth slightly.  Qianxi’s finger trembled slightly and accidentally played the new voice message which just came in from her close friend on speaker.  “Wonderful!  Big director.  You are now the Treasurer at Yinyuan.  You can catch a lot of young hunks who ask to invest in their business.  You need to learn how to use your superiority.  Take advantage of them if they are handsome!”

Qianxi stared at Xu Jimo with the corner of her mouth stiff.  In the smoke of the cigarette, his face looked a little bit misty.  He put the jacket on his arm which he had specifically worn to see the investor.  One button of his white shirt was unbuttoned, the contour of his clavicle underneath his slender neck was slightly visible.

It appeared that Xu Jimo was not angry, he didn’t even look at her.  But the slight cynical smile on the corner of his mouth made sure that she understood that he had heard it.

He clearly heard that merry and joyous sentence from her close friend.

------Take advantage of him if he is handsome.

------Take advantage of him.

------Take advantage…...of him.

Was there anything more shameful than this? !

Qianxi was mortified and met Xu Jimo’s eyes for a few seconds…...then sadly covered her face.
