The Master of Cards Chapter 81: Snowflake

"You can have the sweetest of voices, but I can't bring myself to believe that you will simply hand me a base card." Alex said with suspicion.

"I ofcourse will only hand it to you on a trade." The snowflake said.

"I've met one like you before. It did not say that it would give me a base card, but transform my base card into blood." Alex said.

"If it was a blood attribute fragment, then it was probably a parasite. It and I are not the same." The snowflake said. "I make fair deals, I will provide you with an extra base card, however, in exchange you have to let me devour all your emotions."

"Let you devour all my emotions?" Alex asked.

"Yes." The snowflake replied as if it were obvious.

Alex shook his head. "I refuse your offer."

The snowflake suddenly changed its voice. "Don't you want power? I just need to absorb your emotions. Emotions are useless anyway, they make you inefficient."

"If I don't have emotions I'm no different from a puppet. I am not interested in your power." Alex replied and tried to leave. "It seems like you are no less of a parasite than the drop of blood."

Alex began leaving the chamber. The snowflake sighed. "I need you to accept me."

"I do not wish to lose my emotions. My emotions are what make me, me." Alex shook his head.

"Then why did you use your life force to unseal the door?" The snowflake asked with bitterness in its voice. "I have waited a long time for a host."

"If I tell you that My life force was used unwillingly, will that make you feel better?" Alex said as he began to leave the chamber.

"Wait! I'll give you a fourth base card! You just need to give me some emotions.." The snow flake sounded desperate.

"What's your deal? Others might arrive soon, and now that the door is unsealed, you can choose from them. Why are you trying to get me to accept you?" Alex asked.

"When you leave, the door will reseal itself." The snowflake sounded hateful.

"I don't want your power." Alex shook his head.

The Snowflake got desperate and flew towards Alex. The snowflake immediately transformed into energy and began fusing with Alex.

Alex was stunned and shook his head. Whether it is the blood drop of the snow flake neither of them can be trusted. He tried to use Light Aura to shield himself, however, he didn't even need to do anything.

The snowflake tried to desperately fuse with Alex in a bid to escape from the chamber but was suddenly bounced off. Alex looked in surprise as well. For a moment he felt the hints of a new base card automatically forming amd signs of his emotions being sealed away, however, the next moment, the vortex swallowed the hints of the ice base card which were forming.

The snow flake quickly retreated, and its voice had fear within it. "What... are you?"

Alex looked at the snowflake weirdly. "What do you mean? Why did you try to fuse with me when I said no?"

The snowflake actually started crying. "I can't fuse with you, you tried to eat me! How will I ever leave this place?"

Alex was perplexed by this snow flake. It was so desperate to leave the chamber, but Alex didn't want to fuse with it. Even if he did fuse, the vortex would straight up swallow it.

As he was thinking what to do, he had the urge to find all the rank 1 card fragments that he had collected in the week before the mission. He had over a thousand of those fragments, which were useless to him, but at this moment when he held the fragments the vortex card suddenly swallowed a thousand fragments.

Then the vortex card glowed and a card suddenly formed within the inner world and was spat out into Alex's arms. Alex saw that the card actually had a hint of the snowflake's attribute. The card was blank, but Alex suddenly had a vision.

It was like he was in space. He saw the energy from the snowflake fuse with the fragments to form a card.

As his mind cleared, his eyes raised in shock. He knew what the card was, but it surprised him.

[Snow Seal Card]

He looked at the snowflake, which was also dumbfounded at the card suddenly appearing. Alex looked at the snowflake. "Do you want to leave this chamber? Then enter this card."

"Enter.. the card?" The Snowflake asked in confusion.

Alex nodded. The snowflake was doubtful, but without seeing any hope, it simply tried to fuse with the card and suddenly the snowflake disappeared and appeared within the image of the card.

The snowflake was shocked as was Alex, but he expected this and nodded. This Snow Seal Card was created by the fusion of a thousand fragments and some of the absorbed power of the snowflake.

However, the Snowflake soon realized it couldn't get out of the card. Alex heard the snowflake crying from within the card.

"Boo hoo, you tricked me!" The Snowflake cried.

"Are you a little child? This is the only way I can take you out of this chamber." Alex admonished the snowflake.

Alex jumped out of the chamber and then the door shut down behind his back. The door then disappeared.

Alex looked at the Snow Seal card and nodded.

"Seems like it worked." Alex nodded.

"Wow, let me out then!" The snowflake cried out in excitement.

"Keep dreaming. Do you really think I will let you run wild?" Alex mocked.

"Did you trick me? Waa..." The Snowflake cried.

Alex ignored the snowflake's theatrics. "The blood drop could enter my inner world, why couldn't you?"

The snowflake acted like it heard a stupid question. "Blood Attribute Fragment must be a parasite that parasitizes the inner world to take control of the base cards. I would create a base card directly."

Alex scratched his head. The things were slightly complicated and he wasn't able to grasp everything. He presumed the blood drop's specialty was to attack through the inner world and this snow flake some how didn't find out about his vortex card.
