With my back on the ground, I took this time to properly inspect this wretched form and i couldn't help but sigh at its lamentable condition after i did.

My body was stabbed, torn and bruised by the extreme beatings it got. It even lost an eye in the process. But this was not to say that the previous owner of this sorry meatshield did not fight.

Not at all. The broken knuckles on my hands and the bloody fingers was testament enough of his will to live. Sadly, not all wishes can come true.

After this, i was nothing but a lowly mortal.

"It been a quite a while, hasn't it?" i muttered to myself.

To feel this weak and this helpless with no assurance of survival whatsoever, an almost unfamiliar experience. I smiled when i felt my heart burn for power.

A breath after, i took my first step to reaching that goal. After all, dreams won't come true unless i steal them from the high heavens with my own two hands.
