"Exit points secured." Hunter replied.

"Where still on our way." Archie butts in. "How is the situation right now?"

But saying that it's powerless and deemed useless, that's deplorable in his part.

"No! it's unacceptable! I want to talk to the higher ups! I want to personally talk to the boards!" he insisted. "And give me back my golden egg!"

"The golden egg? but it was never yours to begin with." The man in black suit replied.

"Are you sure you want to see the king?" the man in gray suit stood up and walk towards him.

"I do." he casually replied.

"Then you should know that he has been with us all along and had heard everything you have said." Then the three stood up and bow their heads in front of the man who was sitting in the middle of the chair. He was wearing his signature navy blue coat paired with a Lion face mask. Wait, what? he was one of the 4 pillars too? Silver and the other delegates gawked in surprise.

"Tell me, why do you want power?" the king finally spoke. he was sitting like a real emperor who was questioning a sinful subject.

"I-I…" Silver couldn't think straight and his voice was breaking. But the king seems to be patiently waiting for his answer.

"Because I need it." he immediately tried to redeem himself. "I need to be powerful so I could protect someone."

The king raised his brow but no one noticed since he was wearing a mask.

"All my life, I've been subject to people who has power over me. I've lost the people that I loved because I lack power. I couldn't protect them because I was weak. I am tired of being pathetic and being trampled and look down, so I tried to work my way up. But no matter how I work so hard, I still couldn't protect what's dear to me and that angers me. I always lost because my strength is not enough." Silver continued.

The king was in deep thought for a while since he didn't reply as soon as Silver was done explaining.

"Power to protect someone who is very dear to you?" the king muttered. And to everyone's surprise, he laughed hilariously. But after a few minutes, he tried to calm himself.

"Mr. Gray, who do you think I am?" the king suddenly asked in a serious manner. Silver jerked and had been feeling uneasy all of a sudden. He's been feeling odd about the man they call king but he couldn't figure it out. it seems that he knew the man but couldn't point out who since he was using a voice changer device. The voice that he was using was definitely not his original tone.

Even the man in black suit… he's kinda familiar. He looks like that guy but he chose to shrug off his suspicions because if his guess was right then he should have been arrested a long time ago. Damn! He cursed.

"You are the king and everyone considers you the most powerful man in the underworld." Silver replied.

"The king and the most powerful man, huh." His upper lip twitch all of a sudden. "I may be the most powerful man in the underworld but just like you, I wasn't able to protect the people I love too. I lost them and couldn't even punish the person who took their precious lives despites having the power to do so." He uttered.

Everyone was quite since they were all intently listening. It was their very first time to encounter the king so they might as well take the chance to listen to him and witness how he ends his verdict.

"Mr. Gray, the ability to protect doesn't come from power alone. You can protect the people around you just by being who you are. You don't need any power-figure to help you out. thirst for power will only ruin you, I guarantee you that. all you need is the will to protect them."

What's inside this egg isn't something one can hold against someone. so you can't force obedience and can't strike fear to anyone using this. the information inside this would reinforce you to take the burden to protect everyone. yes, you heard me right. this was intentionally made so anyone who got a hold of this will become his brother's keeper. In doing that, the person who was entrusted this burden will have the full aid from the pillars and the king himself." He explained.
