The Gods' Decree 134 Tying loose ends - Nailed

There was frolicking in the streets as it was quite an exciting affair. However, one person would not entertain any thoughts of partaking, Karr. 

 Karr a man in his early twenties was one of the 8th stage cultivators in Malnor's squad. He had dark hair and average looks.

It had been a dull task as he watched the unknowing Kathy, who had now made her way home after a series of official meetings.

There through her window, he watched as she prepared some home-cooked meal.

This he found odd as from what he could tell, this woman lived alone and her role as an advisor surely would take its toll.

As an outsider, it did seem quite the task going home to cook a meal that obviously was more than she ate. Judging from her slim figure, she was not one to indulge in heavy meals.

Soon what he thought would be some boring surveillance, became somewhat lively. A man suddenly came to Kathy's door.

He was caught off guard as his eyes had been on all streets that led to her home, however, he did not see this man appearing from anywhere.

" Did he perhaps fall from the sky?"

He thought, but after some time brushed it off as him being blindsided for a minute. There he watched as the man knocked on the door.

Hearing the knocking Kathy who though couldn't be described as beautiful, supplemented this with the radiance shown on her face.

She then hurriedly opened the door. It could be seen she was quite excited by her visitor.

" Something smells good, It appears i have arrived just in time."

The man who seemed in his mid-thirties smiled as he spoke. He was quite handsome, tall with a slender build... 

" I've cooked all your favorites, does this please you?"

Kathy responded sightless submissively as the man made his way through the door. On the table, he saw just as she stated all his favorites.

" You've been a good girl Kat, yet i don't see any dessert." He responded by saying as he took a bite of what appeared to be some beast meat.

He sternly spoke which oddly seemingly made the woman blush even more.

" ...but your treat has always been before you. Why do you look away?"

Her robes fell exposing all underneath as she smirked to which he wore a smile.

Seeing this  Karr felt a bit awkward, any passerby would see him as nothing more than a pervert watching as two lovers engaged in a lovemaking session.

As he intended to look away something occurred. The man had frozen for a second, similar to hearing unexpected news.

Before his demeanor changed somewhat while he eyed Kathy.

" The Dark Abylis Sect's squads who recently arrived, what did you disclose to them?" He then asked out of the blue... 

" They know nothing, only thinking you're some mercenary group. " She hurriedly responded before once more closing her robes.

"Good, did they say anything out of the norm?" He then asked once more which Kathy found odd. 

" There wasn't any strange occurrence, other than their insistence on conducting their own autopsy of the official corpses."

She then remembered Malnor's line of questioning which she found odd at the time...

" Really? Disclose without leaving anything out what was said."

Heeding his request Kathy then gave him an in-depth assessment of what had taken place. To which he paused before smiling once more to her...

' Did I do something wrong?" Kathy asked realizing something must have been off.

" Nothing, you played your role perfectly. I know it has been hard on you, but i promise all was worth it." The man calmly stated as he seemingly forgot the previous conversation.

He then held her in his embrace as she squeezed him tightly...

" For a second I thought I had disappointed you. Then you would leave me and we would never leave this place as we planned.

I've felt like a hapless lackey whose work is never truly appreciated. Everything changed when I met you, you showed me i was worth more than this. "

As Kathy spoke she listened to the beating of his heart which soothed her spirit as always.

"This city is like confinement on my very soul, I want it to be set free with you its willing carrier."

She uttered while her head rested on his chest.

" Shhh, all is well. I'm willing.."

He held her head to his chest comforting her.

His hand was placed on her bosom. As she felt his comforting, the world was perfect.

Within this man's embrace, she was at peace and protected.

Soon his index finger then lifted as a burst of air was expelled after a flicker of its tips. 

PUFF!!

A puffy mist of blood was seen exiting Kathy's body. When her eye looked down to her chest she saw a two-inch hole replacing where her heart use to be.

The back of her robes exploded as blood splattered on the wall behind.

She was still held by the man who didn't mind the blood oozing out on his clothing. As she struggled to utter some words from her lips, the blood flooded her throat...

" Shhh, I'm here, it's ok you can rest..."

He uttered as though this was never his doing. Soon Kathy's eyes closed, After which she was placed on her bed gently by him.

" Sigh, it's only business, I have to tie up all loose ends. If the Dark Abylis Sect were to get wind of our true intent, well let's just say that will not occur.

Be at peace, your soul is now finally free.."

There was some remorse in his words as he saw her laying on the bed. As he went back to were the food laid on the table he once more sighed.

" This comes with the job. Emotion is a privilege i can't afford.."

Having seen what had just occurred, Karr was stunned at the sudden shift in events.

" He killed her, what the hell just happened?"

He tried hurrying to press on his communicator informing  Malnor of the changes that occurred, however, it was as though his signal had been blocked. He then felt a gaze from the home.

" Speaking of loose ends, I'm sorry but you're next on the list. Please forgive me as it's only business." He heard a voice in his head.

" Fuck.., lord realm..." Karr shouted in fear as he quickly turned around to run away in hopes of escaping. However though the mind wills it, if the body is incapable, escape is implausible...

After the man's utterance, a nail two inches thick was summoned before his index finger. Soon it was as though all the air around him was his to command..

POWW!!!

The thick nail pierced through the glass window of the kitchen before bursting through the forehead of escaping Karr.

His skull was nailed to the pavement due to his head being ripped from his body. Such was the force of the man's previous attack.

" I know I'm bullying the weak but.., sigh it's really just business.." He once more uttered as he sat around the table eating his meal. Soon the door opened and he was joined by another...
