The next morning, Keira woke up engulfed in the familiar scent and warmth that had always accompanied her every morning in the past couple of months. She smiled in satisfaction as she savored the feeling of contentment that radiated through her, knowing that this was something she would never get tired of.
"Sleep more… We've been sleep-deprived because of your naughtiness," Zach murmured as he tightened his hug on Keira's naked body under the comforter.
Keira laughed as she defended herself, "Is it my fault? You ask for it, remember? You said you wanted me as a gift, so I wrapped myself up for you."
Zach opened his eyes lazily and gave her a sexy morning smile as he pinched her nose and said, "Next time, don't forget the wrapping paper before the ribbon, my star…"
The flirting and bantering of the couple was interrupted by the sudden ringing of Keira's mobile phone.
"Yes, mom?" asked Keira.
"What 'Yes, mom'? Did you forget our appointment today? It's almost lunch, dear…" her mom groused. Keira's eyes widened and quickly got out of bed. "Ohhhh! Sorry, mom, I'll be there ASAP. In an hour! No, forty minutes! Blame your son-in-law, it's his fault we got up late!" Keira shrieked and explained before she ended the call.
"General! Get up and hurry! We need to see the wedding planner and designer. Let's have a quick shower! We're late," Keira nagged as she got out of bed and rushed toward the bathroom, flaunting her naked curved figure before her husband's eyes.
Zach smiled and got up as he followed Keira to their bathroom. "Alright, my star, as you wish. Let's have a quickie. Don't worry, we won't be late…"
Keira screamed when Zach suddenly lifted her up and carried her into the spacious doorless walk-in rainfall shower inside their bathroom.
"Ahhhh!! You, wolf! We really need to be quick. Monique will be out of the country by tomorrow…" She complained.
"Yes… I will be quick… really…" Zach smirked as he turned on the shower before he washed Keira's hair and body with shampoo and shower gel with swift movements.
But his simple touch was enough to send shivers down her spine as she felt her body asking for more...
The youngest helper was assigned to clean up the first floor, and she was in the middle of cleaning the rose petals outside the master bedroom when she heard Keira's scream and got startled from it. She quickly rushed down to the ground floor and directly to the kitchen. The couple had not been out of their room yet since last night, nor had they requested for any meals to be sent upstairs.
The cook saw the flushed face of the young helper and asked, "What's wrong?"
She just gave the cook a blank look and said, "I think they're at it again..." She sighed and went on, "Why am I still single...?" to which the cook laughed.
The couple had been feeding their household staff with dog food all the time. The young helper could only hope that she would also one day find her other half and have the kind of love that the master and mistress of the house had. Passionate, harmonious, and sweet, definitely one to be envious of.
"What's going on, Josh? Why are you here? Don't you have a delivery to do today with Rick?" Asked Grandpa Shen seeing Josh was still at home. He had been staying at home often lately.
Very unusual, because his youngest grandson would typically be very busy taking care of orders and delivering goods to their clients, that he would often come home at dusk.
Josh sighed. He was exhausted from all the meetings with prospective clients that hadn't resulted in anything.
Yesterday was Zach's big party, and he hadn't had the heart nor the courage to inform his big bro about the situation. And soon the couple would have their wedding ceremony. Furthermore, Zach had a lot of things going since he also had to hand things over at the military before his resignation.
Josh shook his head as he answered, "Hmm, nothing, grandpa… I had already taken care of stuff ahead of time because we all will be busy in the coming days."
"Oh, that's true. The wedding ceremony will be held soon. I almost forgot, but your grandma said I need to get my size measured for the costume. I'll go now, child. If you need anything or if you feel exhausted, tell me. We can ask Torin to help. You know he studied business before he joined the military, don't you?" Grandpa Shen advised.
"Torin is also good at Math, so call him if you need help with counting," Grandpa Shen teased his grandson, chuckling before he left. Josh was never good at math, and when he was younger, he would often make mistakes counting their orders.
Consequently, the family, grandma Terry, in particular, had objected when Zach first let his brother manage the ranch because he was too busy with military affairs to also take on the job to manage their land. Zach compromised by supervising, coaching, and mentoring Josh for as much as he could.
But due to the previous unfortunate events, Zach had not been able to supervise the ranch anymore. So Josh had been stepping up to the plate, managing everything, and had been doing an excellent job at it, easing grandma Terry's worries.
Josh drew out another long frustrated breath. His head felt so heavy that he was sure it would burst out any time soon. Josh took out his mobile phone and dialed Torin's number. He needed help, and grandpa Shen was right. Torin would become a part of their family soon, and he might be able to help him without them having to disturb their big bro.
"Geez, why does that girl want to become a model instead of helping me out here?" He murmured a complaint toward his twin sister, who suddenly wanted to become an internationally acclaimed model.
