The Fight I

Vince and Ento were in an office and had just given each other the details of their missions. After their conversation, Ento asked Vince, "Do you think Khrone will be a hindrance to us?" Vince's smile dropped slowly, "Khrone is unpredictable and that's why he's so difficult to deal with but if he wanted to get me he'd have done it today"."The fact that he didn't means he's probably hoping we continue to be an issue for the families".
"I hope you're right", Ento said with fatigue seeping from his voice." The day’s activities from getting the beast to be used as a distraction to fighting at the Deposit had exhausted him". Vince laughed lightly and said, "Get some rest, we all need it". He stood up and started to walk when Ento asked, " When were you going to tell me about him?, The real leader to be exact".
With his back still facing his friend, Vince pulled a dagger from his shirt and slowly asked, "How long have you known and how much do you know?". "Put the dagger back Vince, if I wanted to betray you I'd have done it already and besides I barely know anything so I can't come to any conclusion yet but there's one thing we both know Vince, that thing is not human, why would you decide to work with it when  you know nothing about its motives."
"Well let me start from the very beginning then", Vince said, "it was before I founded our group during my adventurous time when I saved a man surrounded by monsters". "Despite their immense number he was holding his own against them but his stamina was running out so I helped him kill them all, it was after the fight that I realised that he was not human but I assumed it was some sort of mutation caused by experiments because I found him relatively close to a research centre but it was after spending some time with him that I noticed that something was off about him, he had no idea about his past which was to be expected but the oddities were more than just that".
"He had no clue about simple human behaviour and ate food raw, he fought in an animalistic manner and cared little about his life and he could strangely get stronger after every battle he fought"- "just like a beast", Ento said with undisguised shock on his face.
"Exactly, Vince continued, "over time our journey got us close to human settlements and I knew he couldn't be left alive and so we fought more specifically I ambushed him one night after a long battle, we fought and fought but in the end, he beat me ".
He then forced something down my throat and to this day I have no idea what exactly it is he said it linked our lives but it only goes one way so if I die, nothing happens to Him but if he dies then I die too. He has used this to get me to do what he wants at the beginning, I was reluctant but I quickly realised that with this my power was growing three times more than before."
I got drunk on the power and created our group though I sobered up after realising that I was responsible for all the members' lives. "I began to gather anything I thought could harm him and planned to leech off this power before using it to kill him alone but he seemed to be getting suspicious so I pretended to stop my resistance against him to let him lower his guard and then you came here telling me you know about him.”
"That's everything about my history with him". "He has no name, no past, no limit to his strength and no specific reason to hate the great families but he does, his mind seems to only think about taking them down, and his thing is getting stronger in the middle of a battle, and so I theorise that if he can be killed in one strike it will all be over but I'm not strong enough to prove that theory so it's still just a theory."
Ento looked at his friend with pity in his eyes. Despite their close bond and years of friendship, Vince kept this all to himself shouldering the burden alone while moving on with life like nothing had happened, he was a real man unlike those cowards who hide and blame others, Vince took charge and tried to solve the problem. Of course, he felt betrayed that his friend didn't trust him enough to tell him from the very beginning but he understood that most of us would act differently from what we think when the situation happens.
Ento took a bottle of wine from a cabinet and poured two glasses then drank one in a gulp. "Ahh... burns like it should anyway now that we've cleared the air around that what are we going to do next?" Vince took the other glass and took a sip then sighed, " I think my best bet now would be to put my pride aside and go to ask Khrone for help." "He might be our only hope at this point and if he refuses, we will die a hero's death, painful but necessary." "To think you would be so calm even at this point, you fear no one do you?" Vince only smiled in response to this question, the two friends stood looking out a window and drank their wine calmly almost like they had not just spoken about their deaths.
At Permora
A boy is flying around in the air at a high speed while dodging bolts of lightning being shot at him and occasionally sending the bolts back to their sender, this was Khrone and Will's current training and it was brutal, for Will of course. "Decrease the gravity around you more, shoot more bolts back and make them twice as fast and strong as before." For most people, using one ability at such an intense rate was tiring and Will was using two yet Khrone was not satisfied with this and expected more. Will screamed at him mentally but still complied for some more time, just when he was about to give up he heard a sweet-sounding word from his master, "Enough".
Will plopped onto the ground like a bag of flour and took many deep breaths, his master stood over him and said, "I'm off for a mission, if I am not back by tomorrow train by yourself, go to any teacher for guidance or read some books at the library." "Do not under any circumstances stay idle or else." With that, the man flew off into the distance without creating any sound or wind almost like teleportation, Will just looked at his departing figure and went back to resting on the ground, ignorant about the importance of his master's mission to the world's future.
