The Extra's Survival Chapter 87

Booom.

Lucas woke up when he heard a loud explosion.

"Shit." Lucas cursed as he pulled out his sword preparing for battle.

"Emergency."

A loud shout of the explosion came from outside frightening the ones inside.

Just in case of emergency, Lucas planted the mines surrounding the mansion before taking a rest yesterday. Hearing the sound of an explosion, he was sure there was going to be an attack and goblins were on their way here.

These goblins are no ordinary goblins and thier I.Q is also much higher than normal ones, so it was normal for them to track us still he wished that they wouldn't find this place quickly and even if they did, Lucas's class would have already left by the time they reach here.

But things don't always go according to your plans.

"Damn."

A student ran inside hurriedly and briefly described the situation.

"There's is a huge disturbance in the goblin's habitat. Maybe the instructor is taking on thier tribe so the weaker ones may have bypassed them and came here." The boy concluded.

Lucas looked at the boy and praised him for his quick thinking and hurried his way to the outside to see the situation.

"How did they find us. We were safe till now but now they find us so suddenly. Didn't we cover our tracks, right?"

"We don't know what happened but we have to face a hell of fighting in front of us."

The students looked both shocked and perplexed on hearing the words of scout who was on guard outside the mansion.

Fredrick and Parth were also out on scout.

Lucas moved towards the upper floor followed by Han and Binn.

Standing on the terrace of the mansion, he surveyed his surrounding.

Lucas frowned seeing the scene and asked "Where did they come from."

But no words were heard from behind. Han and Binn were frozen and thier voice choked seeing the number of goblins.

Looking from above, they saw that the entire sight before them was covered by green waves.

The entire plain before the mansion was surrounded. Lucas due to cautiousness had formed a defence of bombs far from the mansion, planting almost a hundred mini sweep bombs.

The number of bombs took an entire month to be made and if he sold it, he could have made a few hundred million but now they have to use it here.

After calming down, Han spoke"They're presumed to have come from that damned forest. It seems they wanted to make this village thier territory."

These goblins were intelligent and proficient in finding humans.

'Why the hell they are bent on finding us as if we stole thier treasure.'Lucas muttered inwardly.

"Is the entire hero and hunter association sleeping? Why the hell there is so much mess here and are we sent to clear the mess? Those bastards, I wish I have the strength to rip them," Bin shouted.

Lucas chuckled and said, "You can rip monster, for now, you will get chances to rip others in future."

Lucas said with a playful smile to lighten the mood.

"Gather everyone," Lucas ordered and his playful smile disappeared replaced by a cold look.

Besides Fredrick, everybody had already started to see Lucas as thier leader here.

Lucas was aware of the urgency of the situation, so he assembled everybody down in the hallway.

Fredrick and Parth have returned and had an ugly expression on thier face. The situation had taken the worst turn that was possible.

"We are going to move out," Lucas spoke.

"Move out."

"But what if we are surrounded by monsters if we move out now."

"I think it's better to stay here and defend."

Many started to chatter among themselves giving various suggestions.

"We have to decide quickly before they surround us....." Fredrick was about to finish his speech when they heard another loud boom.

But the explosion didn't stop with this one and many explosions started to take place in a chain.

The students were frightened on hearing the loud sound of the explosion and spoke in unison"It's better to move out right now."

Fredrick nodded and started to gather everyone. Taking back everything useful they found, they made thier way out through the back of the mansion.

Lucas took a peek outside to see the huge dust of debris covering the vision before him carried by the wind.

The explosion had certainly slowed them down but these monsters may be caught up to them if they didn't hurry.

As we walked, Fredrick spoke"From now on, it's better to form a group that will defend. One group will be in charge of defence and the other will charge of the attack. Each group will have a close combat fighter leading them. If we have to flee, then try to stay in your group when you run."

Everyone nodded at Fredrick's suggestion.

"Don't let your vigilance down and keep your alertness all time around. From now we are in a very critical situation, if we can get out from this point, then we will be safe from here."

Fredrick lead the way and we exited the village from the other side. There was a small pass from here and on and after crossing it we will arrive at the bank of the river.

As they walked, they were praying in thier hearts for able to get through the Pass safely but they suddenly heard a loud rumble with thumping beats.

Lucas turned back and making his way through the crowd, cast both the ice spikes and fire skill at once.

Even casting ice spikes and fire glow failed to neutralise the attack.

Lucas gritted his teeth and leapt forward swinging his sword and using a drifting sword technique slashing the wind blades.

Boom.Boom.Boom.

The attack was too strong for Lucas to neutralize and he was forced back by the shockwave sputtering a few mouthfuls of blood.

Even with his injury, he shouted "Fall back! You can't handle the attack without 3-Star strength."

Fredrick who was at the front looked at Lucas's condition and looked at the mage who cast the projectile. He was a D rank goblin mage followed by a few E ranks on the wolves.

"How did they get here so fast," Parth muttered.

"Wolfgang. The wolves tracked our scent and with the beast's speed, it would be odd if they weren't able to track us faster," Lucas wiped the blood from his lips and spoke as his gaze landed on them.

He didn't take the potion immediately and decided to take it only after his injury escalate.

He raised his hand to stop Gracia who was rushing here from the back to heal him.

"Stay back now is not time. All of you attack at the same time, we don't have time to waste on them otherwise others would catch up on them." Lucas shouted.

Lucas's expression was already stiff seeing a D rank monster in front of them.

"Even the instructors would be flustered and baffled on encountering the situation. I am pretty sure the presence of the D rank monster indicates one thing. Either the instructor is dead or hanging on thier life being seriously injured. We can't rely on them from now on. And it seems to be much more dangerous than we initially thought."

Everyone's expression hardened when they heard Lucas's words. They all knew where the conclusion came from still they didn't want to believe in it.

"So? What do we do now?" Parth asked?

"Fight. Fight till we get out of the situation." The answer came from Fredrick as he grabbed his spear, releasing his 3-Star peak pressure and he charged ahead. He had to set an example before the others that they can persist if they give thier all.No if he gives his all.

Fredrick's mad charge woke many from thier stupor and everybody followed his lead to attack.

Lucas looked at Fredrick's firm unwavering tone. Fredrick looked like, he had already made up his mind to fight till the death.

The severity of the situation had already dawned on all of them and it was time to step up so that each one of them can survive from here.

The goblins were not giving them chance to hide nor giving them chance to escape. Since thier fate is already set in stone instead of cowering it's better to take on them as much as possible.

"Don't drag the fight. Kill them at once. Use your ace from the start." Fredrick roared as his spear started to shine brightly.

Jumping up, he threw the spear that was glowing brightly.

Swish.

With a speed invisible to naked eyes the spear went past through one of the goblin's heads popping his head like a cherry.

His attack was followed by a rain of arrows from Rose and her teammate.

The arrow took some of them down while the E rank ones were able to deflect it with a swing of the club.

A D rank goblin emerged from behind the brush holding a huge war hammer made of stone metal.

Charging ahead he ran towards Fredrick marking him as his foe. With each step ground beneath him cracked.

Fredrick looked at him wearily and ran towards it with full speed clinching his spear tightly.

For this situation, he is already fighting with his artefact the Doom piercer. The crackling sounds were emitted from the spear as sparks of thunder covered it.

The D ranked goblin closed onto Fredrick and swing his hammer.

Fredrick leapt in the air and thrust his spear towards the goblin with a roar calling out the name of the skill.

"Thunder Cry of the dragon, lay everything before you to dust."
