In Ami's Office room.

After all the trouble that took place during the exam unlike the students, the teachers were quite busy sorting out the mess left behind.

She had to not only report and give details in writing to the academy but she also had to check the results of the students in her classroom and sent them for the overall ranking.

Having just finished writing the report of the incident and sending it to both the hero association and academy, she was exhausted both mentally and physically. Even if she was an 8-Star warrior that didn't prevent her from being mentally exhausted after going through a ton of papers.

Sitting in her office chair in front of the desk with a pile of papers on it, she opened the computer and looked at the scores of the students in her class.

She also opened the videos of the students taking the test. One by one, she watched all their performance. Her class performed quite well in the exam compared to others.

Soon a series of battles were shown.

" Bad'.

"Okay".

" Sub-par".

"Good".

" Nice".

She commented on everyone's performance, as she watched the video then she paused at the performance of certain someone.

She can see the boy clearly holding back but still he cleared it without much resistance.

Pondering something she looked for the footage that she had got previously.

Most of the cameras were taken down by the hacker after he attacked the surveillance system.

In this footage, a boy was fighting with a man who seemed to be from Villain Society. He was at disadvantage right from the beginning still he didn't give in. He used the space around him to get through and went up the stairs to gain some distance.

The clip wasn't long and was just around two minutes which was taken by a camera near the stairs.

The boy was none other than Lucas.

Ami was stunned for a moment by seeing his battle prowess and situation awareness. He had gotten stronger pretty fast beyond her expectation.

Though on the exam day, he had been lucky that he was saved from the explosion by the student council president otherwise he would have surely died that day.

When Ami found Lucas, he had cuts all over his body with a hole on the left side of the chest.

'Just how far can you go Lucas with your bronze bloodline.'Ami muttered.

She can't help but look forward to Lucas's future.

Oblivious to Ami's thoughts, Lucas was walking towards his room.

These seven days, no six days of rest, one day had been wasted on those scums, I was finally able to replenish his spirit.

I spent the rest of my days helping Jay to wield a sword and taught him some basic sword moves.

Aaron also decided to teach Jay after I pleaded with him.

My mind was currently preoccupied with the thought of training Jay.

Going by the original story Jay was brought by Fredrick after being saved.

Fredrick is the only exception in the whole academy who had not brought anyone from his house to the academy.

The nobles even require help from their servants to wear the clothes but Fredrick denounced all these and does things by himself but his thinking changed after taking Jay whom he used as his butler in the future.

The problem that had now arisen was, with Fredrick, Jay trained to his maximum to repay the debt and get revenge.

But with me, he will be restricted to train due to my small room.

Jay had a golden bloodline. He was adopted when someone left him by his real parents. So who are his real parents is still a mystery?

I don't know whether staying with me, will he be able to unleash his full potential and grow stronger like when he was with Fredrick, so I can now only put trust in him and let fate play his part.

With my exam performance, I barely can make it to 1000 rank.

And even if I get to the top 100. I am gonna bullied and harassed by those who are in the top 100 after all, most of them are filled with nobles' offspring.

A commoner like me, staying in the same building as them is already too much for them to handle.

So I think I have to brace myself for humiliation, if one day I get across the top 100 and also I being with Fredrick will soon be known to others sooner or later.

In the end, after assessing all the things I have gone through recently I headed back to my dorms.

On my way, I greeted Roan by asking about how things went on their ends in the Public Security bureau though I got criticised by him at the end, for running away tucking my tail in between legs.

After doing my work that day, I escaped quickly to avoid trouble and also I was too embarrassed to stay there being half-naked as my upper clothes got burnt in the fire and the kids were scanning me from all around.

So I ran away right after the explosion to stop myself from getting embarrassed further.

But still, Roan was quite irritated on this matter, he must have suffered a lot. I calmed him down saying that I will treat him for a month for his hard work.

Opening the door to my dorm, I quickly slipped down into the white sheets.

Lying on my bed, I stared at the ceiling above me as I thought about my fight.

The fight with the man pushed me to the limit of my strength and allowed me to breakthrough in my swordsmanship level.

I remember I felt the same feeling when I was trapped in the dungeon but I was not able to grasp it properly, maybe I was not ready at that time.

Still, I remembered, the arc of lights that glowed with my swings, I was too engrossed in my fight to notice but as I recall it now it was quite stunning.

I wish I could have a video of my fight which I can watch.

Glancing around the room I searched for my dairy and decide to look for what was to come next.

I flipped the pages and looked at the major events to come.

Next day in the classroom.

Sitting in my sea, I nervously looked around towards the front of the classroom. In the last few days due to being busy, I had forgotten about the results. I mostly spent my time training with Jay in the skies training room.

I performed well in the exam that's what I think. Still, I was slightly nervous. It's not that I am a carefree person and will not think about results like some of the students who think getting into Horizon is already a big thing and they feel that just by getting where they can live the rest of their life comfortably.

But what they don't know was the real hell will just be starting soon.

" Okay now please be quiet."

"You all appear quite enthusiastic, let's see how many of you can smile after you see your ranks in the exam," Miss Ami gave a slight smile after her speech.

Seeing her smile some of us were already drenched in sweats.

Seeing everyone's attention has been drawn to her.

Miss Ami become serious" As you all know, there has been an unfortunate event during your examination so we have decided that despite your performance everyone will be passed this time."

Listening to this, her students erupted in joy and started shouting. Miss Ami wanted to let them continue after all they have passed through a life or death situation recently but still, she has to stop them to maintain the decorum of the class.

Taking out her tablet see clicked on it. After that everyone could see a notification on their smartwatch.

"I have sent your results in your theory and practical assessment. You can check them".

"After class, you can see all other ranks at the notice board. All the ranks from top to the bottom will be displayed there."

The ranking will decide the hierarchy in your respective year and it can't be taken lightly.

The nobles will even force their children to do their best as it can also elevate or decrease their social standings in society.

In this world, most of the people in higher society have more than one wife and many children. This is to ensure the survivability of their families. As in times of war, any unfortunate events may happen.

When you have more than one heir. The better one will get the inheritance. So the ranking here can be said their way of proving themselves in the succession and the Horizon is their battlefield.

Just as Miss Ami finished her sentence everyone in the class took out their smartphones to see their results.

Few of them were even lazy to check the results as after hearing everybody has passed, they don't care about the results as long as they have passed. I laughed bitterly watching their mentality.

'Some are people are sure worry-free

I think this is what people call thug life.
