The Extra's Survival Chapter 48

In just a few minutes, Lucas thrashed every man he found.

Just three kids have taken on an entire branch of an illegal organization. Bodies of 20 people, lay in the mansion who had been beaten by these kids.

Lucas didn't spare a glance at the ones he had beaten as the fire slowly devoured them. Some started to scream after being burnt by the fire.

As the scream reached the top where the leader was resting. The room was soundproof so no noise from inside can be heard from outside and the opposite.

But it can't prevent the burnt smell of fire and smoke which filled the entire mansion.

Seeing the dire situation both Fredrick and Parth cursed at Lucas carelessness as they were prioritising the evacuation of the children first. Still, they had managed to evacuate most of the children.

The old man noticing the smoke of the mansion had already taken the action and had already taken care of the man that was unconscious outside the mansion.

"Parth are all the kids here," Fredrick asked hurriedly.

"Yes, I have counted them before, these are the only ones." Parth scanned every one of the children standing there as they looked at him as thier saviour.

"Okay. I am now going in, to help Lucas. You and grandpa stay here and watch over the kids." Fredrick looked at the kids once again before leaving.

They looked at the mansion before them with anger and hatred. Their hearts were filled with vengeance as they looked at the people, tied with a rope before them with a venomous gaze.

Fredrick's heart teared up seeing their condition.

Taking a deep breath, he dashed towards the mansion.

Lucas was fighting with a 2- Star. The enemy before him was 2 Star in name only as his skills were below average even while swinging his sword, he was shaking as if this is his first time using a sword.

"You don't dare to fight an opponent of equal level. Who gave you the courage to treat those innocent children as slaves?"Lucas roared, as he slashed his sword hard without any mercy and cut the hand of his enemy with which he was holding the sword.

" Just because they are weak, you think you have the right to bully them"Lucas roared as he was overflowing his anger.

He had already lost his calmness. While fighting, he saw a room where children corpses were placed after being tortured. Some of the fingers of these children were missing while others organs were missing. It seems those who tried to oppose them were killed while their organs were separated and sold in the market. Seeing these bastards enjoying this luxurious mansion on the sacrifice of these pitiful children made Lucas quite mad.

Lucas cut his head without any mercy. He had already lost his mind due to anger.

"Bastard," Lucas was about to turn around towards the source of the voice and reacted barely when he was hit hard by the man.

Lucas was blasted away in the air by the punch but he stabilised himself in the mid-air and landed on his feet.

He coughed a few mouths filled with blood.

The attack was quite heavy. Lucas frowned seeing the attacker. He was a 3 Star warrior and seemed to be the leader of this place.

"Asshole" Lucas cursed the man before him. He had lost himself in the anger and forgotten about this bastard.

Originally this bastard had to be taken care of Fredrick but now it seems he has to take care of it.

As soon as Lucas stood up, the leader rushed towards him at a frightening speed. But speed was still manageable for Lucas to react to due to his high perception. Lucas simply swung his sword to answer his attack.

The man's sword strike had reached Lucas in an instant. Although his strike was extremely fast, Lucas was still able to block it with his instincts but still, he felt numbness in his hand as he bore the full brunt of the attack.

He has to give it all to survive. The 3-Star man Lucas fought previously had not taken him seriously which allowed him to take the air of relief but this man is the headset to kill him from the start.

After all, Lucas was the one to burn his house and killed his men.

Lucas moved back a few steps while the man moved back and again swing his sword with all his might.

Lucas parried the attack with just a simple downward swing but a huge shockwave burst out from the impact when their swords collided.

The shockwave extinguished the fire burning the floor around them.

As both of them collided again and again.

Lucas was totally on the edge and was only defending. After exchanging blows he noticed that the man's movements were somewhat stiff. Though his strength was greater than Lucas skill he was able to narrow the gap.

The man's movement seemed to be rusted as if he had not trained for many days. Maybe his success had gone through his head.

Still, I didn't let down my guard and defended his attacks and looked for gaps to attack him.

While both of them were fighting, Fredrick arrived on the floor and looked at the mess. The whole floor was burning with smoke covering the entire area. It was even difficult to breathe for normal human beings.

If he wasn't awakened he would be suffocated to death.

Just he was searching for Lucas, a body flew past him leaving behind a gust of wind and smashed at the wall breaking it leaving a hole in the wall.

Fredrick sensed danger and moved his spear to defend as a man attacked him. He rotated his spear and thrust it towards the man at a frightening speed.

The man was surprised at the kid sudden counter-attack and he ducked it nearly with a small cut appearing near his ribs.

As Fredrick was about to engage in a battle with him.

"Stop," Lucas shouted making him stop his tracks.

"He is my prey. Unless I will be in a life or death situation, don't come in between the fight."

Lucas had already sweater that the man will be his prey and he will be the one to send him to neither land.

Lucas emerged out from the hole engulfed by flames emitting killing intent. His upper clothes were burnt showing his toned skin along with the sleek well-formed abs.

His cold stare could make one shiver in fear. The man panicked as his gaze met Lucas who stared at him coldly like a predator observing his prey.

Even Fredrick was stunned, seeing Lucas kind and naive look replaced by cruel eyes filled with anger devoid of any mercy. A single glance, all it takes is a single glance to tell that this man is going to slaughter his enemies at any cost.

Which human has not felt anger, hatred? In the previous world, the society was not as cruel as this world and Lucas hasn't met any or seen the horror and destruction that is filled within this world.

While Fredrick and others were used to this. This all was new to Lucas. He didn't want to involve and come to this place asking for trouble, but he still have to, as he can't betray his heart which was asking to help the pour souls. He was angry not only at this person who made this place hell for others but also at his helplessness not to help those pitiful souls before.

He already had enough of it. Hiding and cowering behind and waiting for an opportunity to strikes. Though he hasn't lost his mind this time in anger he wanted to crush this man and destroy this place.

Little did he know that the destruction at this place will become a symbol of Lucas's wrath to those who will commit crimes in the future.

Lucas activated flashed step and dashed forward taking an attacking stance different from his previous defending tactics.

Although a faint a dim red haze rose and surrounded the sword of Lucas, the haze was incomplete and imperfect, it was an indication of rising in the mastery of mana and swords level Lucas's. This haze meant that Lucas can extend mana out of his body to strengthen his attacks but still he can't get a hold of it properly at the time.

The mana that he extended out of his body was dim and pitifully little compared to the ones of Fredrick and Rose who have stepped into 3 Star and had higher control over the mana.

'As expected, as I was forced to life and death battle, subconsciously I was able to use mana in my sword moves 'I muttered to myself.

The phenomenon was something that can be achieved after reaching 3-Star and rigorous training for months while Lucas was already starting to get a gist of it.

The man also used mana which was normal as he must have been stuck at 3-Star for years

Dozen of sword lights were flying all over the place. Fredrick could see the glimpse of the trajectory of the sword moves. Their strikes were fast leaving behind a trail of light. Every time they swing, a gust of wind would be created by them which kept the fire in check the fire near them.

Both of them were still not capable of producing afterimages of their swords as they kept on striking each other without taking rest. However, they were able to mimic the phenomenon thanks to their hazy mana and fast swings.

Fredrick was mesmerized by their fight and wondered when was the last time he was forced to push beyond the limit like Lucas.

Lucas was squeezing every drop of his stamina and strength to meet the man's attack head-on.

Still, both of them can be said to be evenly matched till now.
