Without wasting any time I brought the swift boots and wore them instantly.

I could feel my agility being increased by a level and combined with the dash steps he can move with the speed of 3-Star.

I looked down at my feet and chuckled.

The boots looked like a sports shoe of some named brand and felt comfortable.

Wearing the boots I looked at my stats.

My phone rang suddenly. The call was from Scotch.

" So it's finally started".

We wanted to apprehend him before they can start but if Scotch hacked before they would become weary and would change the plan which would have diverted the original script.

" I have found his location Lucas, he has started hacking. I am sending you his location".

"Have you sent it to others?"

" Yes, but they are busy protecting the students".

"Okay, I am on".

Swallowing my saliva, I made my way. I don't even know I can come out alive. Surely I can hide and wait for the danger to pass but I will feel guilty and the guilt will haunt me rest of my life.

Fredrick exited the training room with his shoulders down. If not for his body having a single scratch, he would be mistaken as someone who had performed poorly in his exam and is about to fail.

He finished the test without shedding a single drop of sweat.

In truth was quite bored. The test was too easy for him.

" Frederick you aced it again."Parth patted on Frederick's shoulder.

"You took 1:56 minutes that is less than the record 2 minutes. I am jealous of you. It took me 2:56 minutes".Parth pouted

" You are breaking records after records"

"How much time did you take Rose".

"2:18 minutes." Rose was embarrassed with her performance as even Charles performed better than her taking 2:07 minutes

Seeing Rose's mood off. Fredrick comforted her"Don't be sad, You are good at fighting from distance. Close range fighting is not suitable for using the bow as a weapon. Even a child knows it"

" Charles was lucky this time. You can defeat him next time".

" Not only Charles next time, but I will also defeat you"Rose spoke with resolute.

"I am happy as long as I can become strong. You two are monsters. I don't want to compete with you".Parth spoke wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Fredeickkkkk dodge".Rose's sudden scream alarmed both Parth and Fredrick.

Hearing Rose's scream both Fredrick and Parth jumped from the spot.

A puppet that was behind them tried to attack Fredrick but it failed.

Rose quickly fired an arrow to destroy the puppet but due to its durability, she was not able to break its defence.

Parth and Fredrick quickly took action.

Parth punched the dummy coming towards him.

Fredrick jumped and thrust the spear into the dummy chest.

With a loud bang, it crashed to the floor.

Fredrick looked around.

He found the puppets that were placed at the side and the ones that were used suddenly attacking everything.

Parth and Fredrick took on the puppets while Rose supported them.

She has been trained specially in supporting, so with Fredrick and Parth protecting her from all sides. She tried to eliminate as many puppets as she can.

"What is this."Parth was in shock with the sudden chaos.

" Someone must have been controlling them, "Rose spoke calmly.

"But what is their goal" Parth was confused as he couldn't believe that the security of the horizon is breached.

"This must be the working of an insider. I don't know which faction is this and what is their goals. But let's analyse the situation calmly. "Fredrick tightened his grip on his spear.

" I noticed one thing the rank of the dummy has risen to 2-Star".

"Yes, I saw but there are no techniques in their fighting and they are just blindly charging at us so we have the upper hand in this regard."

" We need to hurry and help others, the instructors are fighting some unknown persons, so we have to help the students".Rose spoke with a solemn expression.

One the puppet broke through the defence line of the duo and was making its way towards Rose.

Still Rose was able to take it's down.

The puppets will knockdown if you can use 2-Star force.

While they are busy fighting something jumped them creating a shockwave. The ground shook and a crater was formed by the impact.

Fredrick and Parth flew in the air, crashing at the wall.

A man covering his face walked slowly towards Fredrick. He was taking his sweet time to enjoy the expression of Fredrick.

Fredrick clenched his spear and was about to attack.

The man disappeared and appeared before him extending his hand he gripped Fredrick's neck.

His movements were lightning fast, which was even difficult for Fredrick to see.

Fredrick struggled using all his strength he can muster to free himself but he couldn't. He could feel the man before he is stronger than 5-Star.

"Hehehe. I like your expression. Plead me and ask for mercy."

Despair, for the first time in his life Fredrick started to feel despair. But he didn't give in to the fear.

Fredrick spat on the person's face and spoke " Get lost ."

The man caught the arrow Rose has fired using all her mana but he caught it in his bare hand and broke it like a dried twig.

The image of the man blurred and the man appeared behind Rose still holding Fredrick in one hand and kicked Rose.

"Pftt" Rose fell on the ground spurting a mouth full of blood.

"Rose!!"

From the man's shadow, a boy came out enveloping in the darkness looking as if he is the shadow itself. Holding two daggers he slashed it towards his neck.

Just as it was about to reach his neck it stopped, a few millimetres from him. Though the man was caught in surprise he stomped on Parth's feet and caught his neck.

Clack.

"Aaaahh" Parth screamed as his foot was crushed. Parth's ability allows him to hide in shadows but this man was able to react in time.

"Sorry I can't waste more time here so bye. He strangled both of their necks," They struggled to get out but the hold was too strong.

Suddenly like a flash, a sword arc passed over his hands like lightning.

The man trying to strangle Fredrick and Parth was unable to react before both of his hands were cut off.

With a small thud, two hands fall on the ground along with Fredrick and Parth, with blood spurting from the hands.

"Aaahhhhhhhh" A her heart-rendering scream echoed throughout the training field that sent chills down the spine who heard it.

Cough.Cough.

Fredrick and Parth shook off the hand holding their necks and looked at the person who suddenly appeared.

"Mr Harris" Both called at the same time waking Rose who had been knocked down by the kick previously.

They were stunned to see the cold expression on Harris.

Their, friendly combat instructor who looked kind and innocent was giving an expression that sent chill down to the spine as if, his personality has been changed and the killing intent he was emitting was suffocating them.

"I have to give credit. You surely have guts."

Turning to look at his students he spoke" Fredrick and you all leave the rest to me. You go and help the others".

Nodding their hands Fredrick helped Rose to stand and ran to help others.

They can't waste their time asking Harris as in battle every second counts.

Harris looked at the man before him like a wolf who was screaming.

The man was shocked to see Harris here"How can you be. here. Blood fiend".

"You are supposed to be dead."

"Blood fiend. Hmmm, It's been quite a long time since I heard someone calling me with this name."

Holding his sword which emitted a murderous aura just like him he smiled like a devil who has found a toy

"It's been a long time since my sword has drunk some blood. "

The man was cursing his luck seeing him.

When they were sent on this mission it was already suicide but still, he didn't think he will find this man here.

No one knows his true face as he always covers his face but it's his murderous aura and on top of that, the SS ranked sword which was glowing in crimson hue as if asking for blood which proved his identity if blood fiend.

According to rumours, the sword was originally C ranked artefact but its rank grew after it absorb its enemy blood as it accompanied him in countless battle

But the real reason why people fear him is that anyone who will fight him will die in a gruesome manner.

He is worse than a demon who is highly sought after, even by Villain Society.

"If you want to kill me, then kill but you can't torture. Do you think I am afraid of you? Hahaha"Mustering his courage he spoke.

He wanted to buy time to commit suicide after all who in the right mind would die in the hands of this maniac before him.

His hands were already cut off, so he used a capsule inside its teeth to commit suicide which all the members carry so that they can do suicide if they are caught.

But before he can bite it, Harris appeared before him forcing his finger into its mouth he plucked his teeth where the capsule was located. He even plucked a few more teeth with an expression as if he is plucking flowers.

" I am already familiar with your dog tricks. Do you think you just suicide before me," Harris sneered.

"Come.. Today this sword of mine will accompany you on your way to hell."
