The pieces of sharp rocks summoned by Charles had an upper hand in terms of hardness and though Lucas couldn't reinforce his spikes and make them stronger like Julian, he made them bigger and sharper to match Charles's ability.

As both the rocks and spikes collided, a chain of explosions took place and many small bubbles of air burst out and exploded giving a terrifying pressure.

Lucas gritted his teeth and tried to hold his ground so that he wouldn't get pushed back from the burst of pressure coming from the small explosions.

Charles suddenly stopped throwing rocks at him and instead a huge wall of around 30 meters was erected before him as he waved his hand, and with a flick of Charles's hand, the wall made of rock started to move toward Lucas quickly.

Lucas fired many wind blades at the wall but the huge gusty mass of hard walls was hard to break in small time, so he decided to flee and activated shadow steps and appeared at a small shadow casted by the walls which appeared at the side of the huge ground.

But as soon as he emerged from the shadow, Charles appeared before him and wearing a gauntlet made of rocks, he punched Lucas with all his strength.

BANG!

With a loud bang, Lucas was shot backwards and spurting blood, he collided with the wall with a shocked expression but Charles didn't give him any time to react and lunged forwards toward him.

Lucas titled his hand and jumped out from the hole and tried to avoid the punch.

Another loud bang was heard and the wall was smashed by Charles's fist combined with the rocky gauntlet.

There are two layers of the wall at the bank. One was just a normal wall and the other was a reinforced wall and Charles's fist just crushed the normal wall.

Lucas avoided the blow by jumping and rolled on the ground for a few metres and as he got up on his feet, he saw Charles coming toward him and was about to throw a fist.

Lucas wanted to dodge but he found himself locked in position by the earth cuff that had wrapped around his legs blocking his movements.

"Shit!" Lucas cursed and raised his hand to block the incoming punch.

He was in the same situation as Rose during the sparing session at the beginning of Horizon.

Lucas felt a strong hit on his wrist and it passed through his defence a small cracking sound was heard and Lucas's body spun and hit the ground, rolling on it like a wheel and sliding through the ground as if his body was dragged.

But as he rolled for a few meters, his body disappeared and appeared behind Charles.

Charles was always prepared for this and coating his legs with rocks and hardening them, gave a super high kick towards the back aiming at Lucas's gut but contrary to his extraction.

With a loud bang, Charles felt a strong hit on his cheek and felt his face being crushed.

A warm and chilling sensation alternated on his face and his figure was shot like a bullet.

The ice gauntlet cracked a bit after hitting Charles's face but Lucas summoned new ones and covered his hand with a layer of ice and dashed towards Charles.

The ground cracked as Lucas rushed toward Charles while stomping the ground hard, he lunged forward and his body shot towards Charles like a bullet.

Charles who was out of breath by Lucas's hard punch saw Lucas rushing toward him and manipulating the earth to create an earthen wall but his movements were still and he was still late by a second and he was not able to clear a solid robust wall to defend himself.

Lucas saw the wall rising before him and increasing his speed, he harnessed all his momentum into the punch and with a ferocious roar punched the wall making a heavy earth-shattering sound.

BOOM!

The wall was smashed by Lucas's punch and a huge hole started to appear at the centre which expanded in a matter of seconds and blew away the wall.

Lucas smashed the wall and passed through it and raised his other fist to give a final blow to Charles.

Charles tried to get a firm stand and making small gestures and putting his hand on the waist, he made a pulling motion.

Lucas's eyeball constricted with astonishment as he saw Charles's movements and following his notion, like a blanket, the earth was pulled into his hands and moulded into a sword and Charle slashed that sword towards Lucas.

Lucas raised both his hands which were covered with a layer of ice and he tried to hold the sword to get a grip but, the momentum of the hard rocky sword crushed his gauntlet and Lucas was about to blow away by the impact.

But Lucas clutched the sword with his left hand and using the momentum of the blow, spun his body around and covered his feet with ice, he rotated his lower body and kicked Charles's jaw.

Swish...

Being hit equally with a strong blow, both the bodies flew in the air and thrashed onto the ground.

Both of them panted heavily feeling out of breath as tried to get up on their feet.

Both of them were using skills and their abilities to their maximum which was taking a toll on their mana reservoir.

But the battle was far from over as both of them stubbornly stood up even if their bodies were exhausted, their will to fight was far from giving up.

Lucas looked at Charles and smiled wiping the blood off his lips.

Charles repeated the same notion and summoned the rocky gauntlets.

"So, you want to play boxing. Haan! Nice, let this daddy accompany you." Lucas muttered as he summoned his ice gauntlets.

Lucas's hands were in very bad shape and were hurting badly.

Using ice without extensive control was taking a toll on him. In the case of Juliana, when she covers her body with ice there would be no problem as she can control the temperature of the ice.

But in Lucas's case, he can't control the temperature and if this goes on he may get frostbite.

Lucas's eyes turned chilling cold as Charles arrived before him to punch him but Lucas sidestepped and punched his shoulder.

Lucas felt strong pain and jumped back.

His hands were trembling with pain and had already swollen but the colour of the skin around his hands became pale and devoid of blood.

Even after many scratches and bruised there wasn't a drop of blood and Lucas felt that his blood was frozen, he started to get a slight fear of losing his hands as he wasn't able to feel his hands properly.

While he was lost in thoughts trying to clench his trembling hands.

He heard Charles's loud shout"I will finish this now."

"What!" As Lucas muttered in confusion, he saw Charles jumping up with a huge greatsword around 10 meters falling on Lucas with an incredible speed.

"This gonna kill me," Lucas muttered and taking a look to steel his resolve, he cast a fireball and lighted his own hands and looked upwards to see a huge line of rocky swords coming on him.

Charles's sword descends on the ground with a huge rumbling and he saw Lucas forming a cocoon of ice surrounding him but in front of the huge ice sword it was crushed like an ant and with a huge earth-shattering rumble the ground cracked while a cloud of dust appeared from the ground creating havoc.

While Charles wondered about the outcome, he heard a small cracking sound behind his ears and looking up, his eyeball constructed in fear.

As he fall to the ground, a huge shadow appeared on him and Lucas with a huge greatsword of ice appeared above him and to make the matter worse, his sword seemed to be imbued with lightning that was emitting a crackling sound.

Charles gulped his saliva as he looked at Lucas's figure with a huge greatsword and roared in agony"Bastard why are copying my move and style."
