The Extra's Survival Chapter 17

Rose was giving her all to hunt monsters so that she may not leave behind the others.

She wanted to surpass Charles in killing the number of monsters and solidify her position in the top 5. She has been training fiercely from the time she lost and was humiliated by Charles.

She wanted to erase that smug smile from Charlie's face. She wants to erase the shame she has suffered him. By training only she can make him pay.

She doesn't know about others but till now she has killed 5 monsters.

This terrain was easier for hiding to look for prey but it was also difficult to kill the prey in the wilderness as they tend to cover their tracks.

Pulling the arrow from the monster she was thinking about several monsters Frederick would have hunted.

I have to give my all to not lag behind others.

She moved forward loading the arrows.

She was moving carefully taking each step lightly.

Sniff

"Why do I smell something burning".She moved in direction of the smell.

She could see smoke rising in the sky front the distance.

"Why was the forest burning".

" Maybe someone was fighting and used fire spells".

"What kind of idiot uses fire type of spell in trees".

"I should go towards the left".She turned left and started running towards North.

Standing on a big tree Lucas was observing Rose.

" Somehow my planned worked. If she went in the other direction I have to finally make an appearance to warn her about Fredrick".

To stopped Rose from going further towards the east. He decided to burn the forest to block her way.

Still, he was harming the forest somehow. If this was on earth I know I was sure gonna be jailed for harming the environment.

Sigh. I have got a habit of comparing my every move with both lives.

Maybe I still have lingering feelings about my past life.

With further ado, he moved to take a tour as his work is over. Everything that he can do he did.

Now doing anything further than that he didn't know what will happen to the script.

Rose was scanning her surrounding as she went deeper.

Suddenly she thought she saw movement from the far. Without wasting time she shot in the direction in which she was having a premonition of someone there.

Clang.

Using the daggers he was barely able to deflect the blade.

The strength in the arrow is too much for him to block. His wrist has suffered a minor crack just by deflecting it.

"Shit, why does anyone who finds me like to throw their weapons at me".

" Do you all think of me as a weapon practice target"?

"You are Parth right".

" Why are you hiding".

"I was not hiding I was observing I need help Frederick may be in trouble"

"What".

She took out another arrow loading it on the bow.

" Wait I am telling truth".

"A second-year student asked Frederick for help to fight a monster in the cave".

" I don't know I got a bad feeling that's why I was searching for someone to help. I encountered you first so that's why I am asking for your help".

"Isn't too much coincidence that you meet me asked me for help".

" I swear believe me it's a coincidence I have got no other plan. You are a count daughter. If anything happened to you, Your father will torture me like hell".

She was in a pinch whether to believe or not.

What if it was a trap but if he was telling truth and something happens to Frederick she may not be able to forgive herself for not believing Parth and helping him.

I have to take chance and if it was a trap she surely gonna make pay the people behind.

If her father knows that she was harmed, he will shake the whole capital asking for justice.

"So where is this place".

" Follow me".

Rose followed behind Parth.

She was shooting here there on her way.

Parth wanted to want to ask her what she was doing but knowing her, he didn't want to interfere in what she was doing as long as Frederick is okay he will not be in trouble.

Rose was not wasting arrows. If one observed her, they would she was leaving marks of cut on the trees.

Before the test, her friends and her maid asked her to be careful as there may be someone making a trap for her.

So just as precautions if she find herself in peril she would leave marks on the trees in the direction she went.

If she doesn't return after the test it will be easier for them to find her position from the arrows.

She knew they have trackers recording their position but she still it's better to take precautions after all society can do anything for their gain.

They arrived at the mouth of the cave but they couldn't find any lead of Frederick or the second year.

Parth was scanning the surroundings looking for any small lead.

He found fire marks near the entrance.

"Wait for a second, the second-year said there is a monster in the cave. So why is the entrance of the cave closed. Are both of them inside or they have already come out".

Rose was also finding the situation odd.

" Let's call for Frederick at the cave".Parth started to shout for Frederick's name.

Even after passing some time, he couldn't get in any response.

Pondering for a moment he decided to take out rocks to create a small opening.

After clearing out a rock from the entrance he decided to call for Frederick again.

Frederick was in midst of fighting small beasts like spiderwort. With a small rumble, a rock slid over the entrance and rays of light entered the cave removing some of the darkness.

Then he heard someone calling for him.

"Maybe rescue team come for him. The test is already over just how long I was trapped here".

" Frederick are you there. Frederick ".

The voice sounded familiar to Frederick.

"Was it Parth's voice ".

" Parth is it you".

"Yes it's me . Are you, fine buddy".

" Yes, I am fine".

"Just how did you mess up".

This guy surely has screw loose instead of saving he want to inquire about the situation.

" First save me, idiot ".

" Ohh sorry".Parth smiled bitterly realising the situation was not time for talk.

"Just how are we gonna take him out".

" Should we call the teacher and forfeit".

"Leave it to me".

" Ask Frederick to move back".Rose came forward.

Calming herself she stretched her legs wide tilting her back to the side.

She pulled her bow with all her might using all her mana.

Air from the surrounding rushed at the tip of the arrow swirling around the arrow-like mini-tornado.

The air around the arrow started to compress.

Parth was horrified looking at the amount of mana that she was releasing.

The frightening burst of power from the arrow gave him a warning as if you dare to the crossroad with me you are going to meet your maker.

The move she was using now was her special move. Using her bloodline ability to control the wind. She was creating compression around the arrow to increase its speed and power.

If she had used this move against Charles there would be nothing left of him on the stage. Knowing the power of the arrow she chooses not to use it.

She released the arrow. With a speed nearing the speed of sound the arrow broke the eardrums of the listeners.

Boom.

A shockwave spread across the area. The stones were blasted from the cave entrance flying here and there.

The arrow crushed the rock grinding it to dust.

"That was awesome firepower".

" She surely has gone easy on Charles. In front of this move even a 4 Star would be forced to retreat".

Till now Parth was unable to move due to the shocking power displayed by Rose.

" Stop staring and help him out".

Parth went inside the cave and soon crawl out of the cave with Frederick.

Frederick was also shocked by the move that cleared the entrance and was asking for the details.

Both Frederick and Parth crawled their way out of the cave.

Frederick was covered with blood on his face. His situation was not looking good.

Rose was too exhausted to move still seeing Frederick's condition she took out a handkerchief and handed it to Frederick.

Frederick wiped the blood on his face was already dried.

Frederick thanked and the trio decided to rest for a moment before figuring out the things they need to do.

"What do you want to do" Parth inquired. He was starting to get noisy.

"Rose is drained out and my condition is not good. We can wait for the test to finish or".Fredrick flashed a cheeky smile.

Far away without the trio being aware someone was watching them by staying out of their radars.

It seems everything went fine.

Honestly even after knowing everything about Rose. The last move used by Rose was quite fearsome.

As there is saying seeing things are surely different from reading.

Guess she is going to be called the Goddess of archery in the future for nothing.
