The Extra's Survival Chapter 131

A man panting heavily was running through the crowd. He wiped off the sweat trickling from his forehead.

His face was covered in a black hood. Pushing aside the crowd, he made his way towards the noble's stand.

Though they were knights who formed a defence line forbidding the commoners, from reaching the nobles, his goal wasn't to breach it but rather to get as close as possible to the line.

He would try to reach as close as possible to the noble stand and from there will throw the bomb.

He covered his trail under the crowd and underneath his cloak, he pulled out a big black spherical ball.

He squatted down and hide the big ball under his cloak from anyone's eyes.

His heart was beating faster, after all,what he was going to do carry a huge risk but still, he had to do it.

He can't mess up the plan and get caught before finishing his job.

This was there chance to chance to shine. They will not get an opportunity like this if it went wrong today.

He grabbed the ball firmly and aimed it at the noble stand after surveying the area and was about to throw the ball when he felt someone's grip on his leg.

He staggered, as someone pulled him down and fall onto the ground.

Under the loud cheers of the crowd and huge mass of people, no one noticed his fall rather people started to climb on his body and used him as a stepping stone unknowingly, to see the royal's and nobles' faces and enjoy the Parade that was about to begin.

He let go of the ball and raised his hands to protect himself but before he could pull himself back, he felt a dagger inching closer to his skin and slicing his neck.

Before his death, he only heard three words.

"You are just worthless ."

He didn't know who killed him and how he found out but that didn't matter as blood splattered after his neck was cut and darkness covered his vision as he went blank for eternity.

Lucas after slicing his neck put him and the bomb in the dimensional space and stood up dusting his clothes.

"Phew." Lucas sighed.

He was able to find him by chance and if he would be just a second late then the consequences would be quite dire.

But still, he hadn't saved anyone and had just delayed the inevitable.

Two people were set to throw the bombs which would be marked as a signal for the others to follow.

If Lucas can catch them off, he would be able to buy some time and disrupt their plans.

Lucas wiped off the sweat and thought about how these people were able to bypass the security check.

'Does they have spies in the royal army or the nobles were helping them?'Lucas thought rubbing his chin.

He can think of a few noble houses but he wasn't sure whether those noble houses had already struck a deal with the Villain Society or will help the Villain Society later cause many things are always going on in the background but come to the limelight only at the suitable arc.

And if Lucas named the suspicious nobles and after a thorough investigation, they were found innocent and if by any chance, it reached the noble ears, Lucas would be charged with defaming the nobles with punishable offences and he may even get a death warrant.

Lucas stood up and started to scan the crowd again.

"Shit." Lucas cursed as he saw another one, who had already taken out the bomb.

Lucas's pupil shrank and without caring about anything else, he jumped on one of the people's back and used the people in the crowd as a foothold to jump in a zig-zag manner, to reach the man closer.

But he was just a step late as the man, activated the bomb and threw it towards the noble's stand.

Lucas gritted his teeth and made a grappling action raising both his hands, pointing in the direction of the bomb.

Lucas felt as if he is holding a long rod and on the other end of the rod the bomb was placed.

Using his telekinesis, he manipulated the bomb and threw it toward the sky as high as he could, in his current state.

"His Highness, The King Alex Von Stan, the mighty ruler of Cyprus Kingdom, will now give us a short speech."

The King stood on the stage from his seat and took a step and appeared on the podium.

The fanfare of the king was very loud as ear wrecking cheers were erupting from every corner of the plaza.

As he stood on the highest platform, he looked all around with his hawk-like eyes.

The Empress and all other members of the Royal family waved their hands walking in front of the platform and standing in front of the seat waiting for the King to start his speech.

The King lifted his hand and all the cheers died down and everything descended into complete silence and the king started to speak after giving them a greeting.

"It has already been 40 years since I have ascended the throne under the blessings of Goddess to rule over this kingdom."The King spoke slowly.

" I remembered the time when I ascended, the times were quite chaotic. My father who ruled the Kingdom and leads it to prosperity at that time died on the battlefield but before dying he single handle took on an entire army of demons halting their march."The King's voice became numb.

"Many may think that I was able to lead the Kingdom to where it is today alone but that is not true. This Kingdom is built on the blood and sacrifices of people, our ancestors and our brave warriors."

"I remember at that time, I was just a young man with hot blood, doing as I please. On my side, they were my friends who later became my supporting pillar. In fact if not for my friend's sacrifice who protected me despite risking his life and if they have not come to my aid, this country would have lost its king."His eyes became hazy but soon the haziness cleared and brightness appeared.

" But lets us not divulge in these sorrowful memories. I only wanted to say. My citizens, you must member one important thing, don't forget the sacrifices of the people because of whom you can enjoy your current life."

The speech was going quite well, unfortunately, the king wasn't able to his speech.

BOOM!

The ground shook as everyone saw a bomb blasting off in the sky and flames started to spread like shockwaves in the sky and started to rain down.

The King's expression turned grim.

"Huh."

"What was that?"

"Is it part of today's celebration?"

The mumblings in the crowd started to get louder.

King Alex looked behind the royal members and moved his gaze up the watchtower and shouted

"Who are you all?"

Immediately after his speech, three Streaks of light flash descended from the sky which enveloped the surrounding in a huge might pressure.

The Knights and guards started to run towards the intruder who had suddenly invaded the plaza but the pressure emitted by these intruders pushed them back.

The citizens were starting to get nervous and panicked wondering what was going on here.

"Hahahahahahahahahahaha!"

The three men were wearing a mask and laughed madly.

Their maddening laughter echoed throughout the Plaza of Honour which had descended into silence by their appearance.

The sinister laughter followed by their sinister demeanour sent a chill down the spine of the people who were in the crowd.

Just as they were wondering about what was going to happen next.

"Hahaha!"

People wearing a black veil emerged from the crowd and threw big balls toward the noble stand.

The ball thrown was directly aimed at the spot where the king was standing on the stage and nobles who were sitting on their seats down the stage.

Their face became as pale as a sheet as they saw the incoming bombs and some of the nobles who were scared out of their wits screamed in horror and started to run.

The Imperial knights who were just watching the scene silently suddenly moved and their images blurred and they appeared in a straight chain of lines and formed a defence line that stood out before the nobles.

Seeing the incoming bombs, they stood in that spot and thrust their swords into the ground.

A huge light shone and the spot where they were standing shone brightly as magic circles appeared underneath their feet each imperial knight stood inside the circles and the circles started rotating.

Flashhhhhhh!

An eye-blinding flash of light appeared and an invisible wall of mana appeared separating the space.

The bombs collided with the barrier and a huge shockwave took place that blasted off the crowd who were nearer to the stands.

The ground trembled due to the mighty chains of explosion and flames exploded and a huge shockwave folded by a burst of hot air gushed all around the Plaza of Honour, igniting flames on the beautiful road as the rigorous expansion of air took place.

The people standing in front of Lucas were pushed back and he was squeezed in between the people at the front and the back and lost his balance falling to the ground while many people fall on him flattening him with the ground.

He felt as if he was going to be buried with the people's corpses today.
