The Extra's Survival Chapter 118

Lucas exclaimed in joy as he saw, the dragon falling from the sky in a frozen state.

He sighed in relief as he thought that the nightmare was finally going to be over but he was proved wrong again.

A high pitch deafening roar rang like thunder across the whole area which created shockwaves of air, sending chills down the spine.

Lucas felt as if his eardrum had burst, he closed his ears and searched around to see everyone fall in their eyes cuddling like a puppy trembling in fear.

Hugo, Alabaster, Julian and even Ami were unable to snap out of the fear as they heard thr dragon's roar which could invoke fear in every organism.

Lucas's heart started to beat crazily and his body trembled.

He raised his trembling hand.

"What is happening? Is it fear?"

"No, it's anger. I am trembling in anger. Why am I feeling so much hatred, so much anger?"

Lucas grabbed his head as his heart was in turmoil, he felt as if his blood is boiling as if someone challenging him.

Lucas felt someone or something is calling from the ring.

He looked at the storage ring to take out a blunt red dagger that was sparkling in red. There were many small inscriptions and ruins on it.

Lucas felt quite close to the dagger as if it was a part of himself.

As he was engrossed in looking at the sudden revelation, a huge fireball come toward him from above.

"Shit." Lucas cursed and started to run and look for the shadow but before he could do anything, he was blasted off by the shock wave as the fireball collided with the ground creating a huge explosion.

The flames from the explosion burnt his back and blasted him off a few distances.

As Lucas fell to his gut, the last thing he saw was a dragon shooting a beam of light toward the princess as his vision blurred.

In a place shrouded by darkness.

A faint voice echoed through the whole area.

"Hey."

"Wake up."

"Coward."

"Asshole, wake the hell up already."

Following the whispers, a huge sound of slap resounded in the area.

"Who the fuck! Aaaaaahhhh"Lucas woke up and screamed.

Lucas cursed as he woke up feeling someone slapping him and shrieked as he saw the darkness around him and a silhouette of a person standing before him.

The person before him had long hairs reaching the shoulder.

As Lucas observed the person from the toe to tip, his pupil constricted as he saw the person having golden eyes.

The more he observed, the more he felt the person's facial features were similar to him.

"Who...Who are you? Where am I?"Lucas blurted in panic as he saw himself in an unknown place.

The person rubbed his chin a tiny bit and pondered for a moment spoke before sighed

" Since it comes to this, I have to step out, what a bad luck, to face an unprecedented danger out of blue."The man spoke

"Cut the crap." Lucas spoke and asked, "Who are you?"

"In simple words, I am an embodiment of you, a remnant of your soul that you have left behind."The man replied

"What!!A remnant of my soul?" Lucas felt the world turn upside down and thought he had a mental breakdown and might have gone mad after being hit by the dragon attack or this may be an illusion attack by the dragon.

"You are under any illusion nor you are mad."The man spoke.

"A part of your soul sent behind for a case you face unforeseeable circumstances. "The man spoke.

Lucas felt as if their head the world was spinning around. He still couldn't believe whether it was a dream or real.

"You are the one who did or you can say your future self did it."The man spoke, seeing the confusion on Lucas's face.

Lucas frowned as he thought how strong his future self was. He knew a 9-Star warrior may be strong but he can't do something like this.

"Now, shall we kill the dragon?"The man smirked as his words startled Lucas.

"Kill the dragon, but how will we kill it?" Lucas asked in a confused tone.

"I will possess you for a moment or you can say you are possessing yourself." The man chuckled.

"But didn't you see that the dragon was able to take on Miss Ami's attack and its level is certainly close to 8-Star and I am just a 2-Star warrior? Even if you possess, me the gap is too large to overcome."Lucas groaned.

"Hahaha," The man laughed madly and stared at Lucas coldly. His previous playful expression disappeared and his expression turned solemn.

"Let me tell you a story. There was a young boy, a dreamer who wanted to reach the peak of the world power but there was a wall, a huge wall before him, the wall which no one was able to break but the boy after countless suffering and countless fights was finally able to overcome and climbed the peak that he had dreamt off, then do you know what happened after that?"The man asks with a grim expression.

Lucas shook his head as he looked at the man's face which seemed to be full of an unsaid sorrow.

Seeing his sorrowful expression, Lucas's heart ached for an unknown reason.

"The boy stood on top of the peak only to know that the mountain he had climbed was just a small hill comparable to the true mountain after the hill."

"One day when you reach the level, you are aiming for now, you will know that even at that level, you are just an ant in front of the powerhouses that are lying hidden now wanting to turn the world into their playhouse." The man spoke.

"If it was someone else the disparity might be too huge for them but this disparity is nothing especially when you are facing the dragon."The man spoke

"Why!!" Lucas was startled at the sudden revelation and before he could ask anything, he heard the man's voice.

"Lucas tell me what you know about telekinesis."

Lucas pondered for a moment and spoke"Telekinesis is the ability to move...."

Before he could finish his words, a sound of a slap resounded again.

"Asshole, what is the meaning of this?" Lucas cursed as he rubbed his cheek and glared at the pain of slapping him without any reason and pouted.

"Hey, you"The man pointed at Lucas and added.

"Do you think, you are in class and I am your professor whom you are trying to impress to give you good grades?" The man asked coldly.

"When did I say that?" Lucas refuted in a feeble voice.

"Then why are trying to give me a textbook answer."The man asked.

"Let's leave it. Do you know what is the essence of the universe and the thing that keeps it running?"The man asked.

Lucas thought for some time trying to give the perfect answer cause he do not want to be slapped for the third time.

"Hmm, is it energy?" Lucas spoke covering his cheek for the unforeseeable circumstance.

"Hmmm." The man nodded in satisfaction.

"Every universe had its type of energy. There are countless different types of energy in the world. No one knows better than you as you have already lived in two different universes."He spoke.

"Some universe had qi while another world has chakra, ki and there many more. The fundamental energy of our universe as you know is mana."

The man squatted and pressed his finger on Lucas's heart and spoke"And telekinesis is the ability to manipulate and alter mana. Like other abilities, you can't create mana but you have absolute authority over mana. A living body is a vessel that holds the mana or machine which depends on the fuel and you have the key or ability to control the fuel."

"When you reach a higher level, you will witness yourself just how frightening the ability you have got."The man gave a playful smile.

"So this is the reason for your confidence, means manipulating mana you can make your attack stronger and defeat the dragon," Lucas asked in a grim voice.

"Yes and no."The man replied and added, "If I increase the mana output too much, your body will collapse since it's not strong enough to hold that amount of power."

"The reason for my confidence is because of the red dagger you had in your hand."

Lucas's brows furrowed as the picture of the red blade flashed in his mind.

"The blade may look worthless but it is a special artefact. It was a part of a dragon-slaying sword and is made of a dragon bone."

"Whaaaaaaaat!"Lucas shrieked as he heard the name of a dragon-slaying sword. The casual dagger which was lying in dust turned out to be a treasure.

Lucas massaged his forehead as he felt, he was getting one shock after another.

"The reason why Ami wasn't able to defeat the dragon was that dragon scales are tough and can't be damaged by usual attacks but before that dagger."The man explained.

"Kekekekeke." The man burst into laughter imagining the scene of slaughtering the dragon.

"Okay, let's leave the usual chat after we defeat the dragon. My remnant soul was bound to the system and will disappear soon and you aren't strong enough for me to exist in your conciseness for too long."

The man leaned closer and as both of their foreheads touched both of their figures merged into one and a red light flashed.

Lucas who was lying conscious suddenly opened his eyes which had turned red.

Although it felt like an eternity, it hadn't been even a moment in the real world.

As Lucas show the huge bright beam of light about to touch Julian, a surge of momentum bursts forth from his body and like lightning, his figure transversed the distance between him and the princess within a blink of an eye.

The air in the path rippled creating a shock of waves as his speed surpassed the barrier of sound as he pulled the princess towards him soaring into thr sky.

As the huge explosion of the dragon breath resided, everyone noticed a figure hovering in the air holding the Princess in his arms.

"Lucas."

The people below who saw the scene felt their hearts coming out of their mouths, just when he had lost all hope as if God responded to their call, a miracle was created.

Ami who was barely holding onto her consciousness widened his eyes as he looked at Lucas.

His figure had changed. His demonic eyes along with the long hair on his shoulders and his flawless glistening skin give one a feeling of an immortal.

Moreover the amount of pressure and killing intent that was emitted from his body was even suffocating her and she looked back to see even the dragon who was showing its mighty had turned into a docile cub in his presence.

Lucas ignored everyone's reaction as gently caressed Julian's burnt hand and many images of her flashed in his eyes.

"It had been quite long since I was able to see you, Julian" Lucas spoke with moist eyes startling Julian as she heard Lucas calling her by name.
