Lucas unlike others didn't retreat and using his shadow steps disappeared and took cover nearby.

Since all the knights were focused on dealing with the monster ahead, they didn't have time to look for the mole hidden there.

Lucas was stupified as he watched the battle unfold, it looked like a top notch Hollywood movie, which had invested tons of monies in CGI to make high quality fight scenes.

The huge light appearing out of nowhere looked similar to a movie where believers gathered their faith and beliefs to form a weapon and the last attack of Miss Ami was a blow to Lucas's common sense.

Hearing about the feats and seeing them was different a thing and he still couldn't believe what he saw.

After the last attack, Lucas saw Princess moving towards the giant tree.

"No, don't tell me, she is trying to freeze that huge monster." Lucas cursed as he started to follow her.

He hadn't retreated because he had expected a scenario like that moreover, the amount of mana she is using will increase the chances of her getting the chill attacks.

Lucas had already suspected Julian making a move like that in future as there was a similar scenario of her doing something like that but what followed after that was a chill attack.

At that time the situation wasn't as dire as today so Fredrick along with others was able to protect her but today the battle is on a different scale.

Not only her life would be in danger, but there is also a chance of all of us getting defeated if she falls better.

"May God helps me," Lucas muttered as he used flash and shadow steps to increase his speed.

On the way, Lucas was attacked several times by those damned branches and he used fire spells to burn them down until the point where the princess had frozen the part of the monster.

Lucas saw Julian's silhouette and seeing her condition he panicked.

Julian was shivering and her face was pale, from her body fumes of icy mist were coming out as she was started to get frozen with a layer of ice but still she was trying her best to endure the pain and freeze the giant and increased her mana output.

In her current situation using ice ability was quite deadly.

"Shit." Lucas cursed and using shadow steps appeared behind her and prayed in his heart that Princess may not kill him for the next action.

Lucas put one of his hands on her shoulder and wrap the other one around her waist and started to synchronize his mana with Juliana.

"Hiyakkkk." Julian who was already fighting with the pain felt a current flowing through her and was stunned to see Lucas's hand around her waits.

"Where...Where are you touching?" Julian shouted with as much strength she can muster.

"Lucas, what is the meaning of this," Julian spoke as her expression turned cold.

"Princess, I am not trying to take advantage of you. You know the situation we are in. I am not a fool to take advantage of you when our life is hanging. I am just trying to get rid of the chill attack. Just believe in me. You can deal with me afterwards." Lucas spoke hurriedly as he tried to persuade Julian.

"Just accept my mana and let it flow freely," Lucas spoke in Julian's ears.

Julian's pale face started to become red as felt Lucas's warm breath brushing past her cheek.

Julian was born with a cold and lofty disposition. She rarely shows any intense reactions regardless of the situation.

But now, her body was trembling, her ears were reddened and her eyes were glimmering with embarrassment, the reaction which she had never had before.

Lucas closed his eyes and concentrated, the situation was too grim for him to enjoy seeing the rare display of emotions in Julian.

'Instead of the usual sensation of gathering mana in my body, imagining became one with the Princess to gather the mana.'

As Lucas concentrated he felt something resonating within him that was coming from Julian. He went deeper and deeper into his closed mind and finally, he sensed something cold, something chilling.

He knew he had got near the source of the Princess mana pathway, now he just had to warm it up but as he tried to use his fire element, he felt a storm, a storm that tried to swallow him up wholly.

Lucas opened his eyes feeling the unusual sensation to notice, his hands were starting to get numb and a layer of frost started to cover him.

"Lucas..." Julian muttered in a low voice as she noticed Lucas feeling the same pain as her.

His expression became dull and his face became pale.

Seeing Lucas holding her before, she thought Lucas was a mole who wanted to get rid of her or try to take advantage of her but seeing his condition now she understood Lucas trying to help her.

Though she was still surprised about Lucas knowing the cure for the illness and she didn't believe in him still it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

'But why is he undergoing the same pain as I am? What is he trying to do and what is going wrong with the process Lucas wanted?'Julian thought.

As Julian questioned it, she suddenly remembered Lucas's last words.

"Don't offer resistance, I have to let his mana flow in me freely..." Julian blushed for a moment but she knew it wasn't time to think about all those things.

Closing her eyes, she felt Lucas's mana trying to get in here but blocked by her icy mana. She tried to break that barrier from inside allowing her to be one with him in mana.

On other hand, Lucas felt the barrier blocking him crumbling slowly and he felt a huge storm of mana that was pushing him slowly residing.

'So this is her mana.'

'She is trying to control something like this.'Lucas thought for a short time he felt the pain the princess was going through and it wasn't something that one can resist with sheer will.

His admiration for her increased by several folds.

Lucas gritted his teeth and shouted synchronise and poured all his mana inside her.

His warm mana clashed with Julian's icy cold mana and a battle of will started to take place.

Lucas didn't save any mana and gave his all to neutralize her mana.

Lucas's hands which were frozen started to return to normal temperature and slowly starts to heat up as sweat started coming out of him nonstop.

"This.."Julian blinked multiple times as she felt a warm and refreshing feeling flowing through her body melting the inner icy mana.

Her body started to heat up and her face become red like a cherry tomato. She felt two currents of warm mana flowing through her.

Lucas poured the mana into her shoulder and absorbed her icy mana from her waist and after neutralising it and poured it into her body and continued the circle again and again.

She tilted her head to look at Lucas who had closed his eyes and concentrated on curing her.

Now only, she noticed how close Lucas's face was to her and both of their lips were just a few inches apart.

'He looked quite handsome with his sleek jaw if one looked close. What if he took advantage of me and kissed me.'

'No..No...Julian what are you thinking. You are Princess and you are older than him. You shouldn't have such thoughts.'Julian tried to convince herself but as she looked at the hand holding her waist, she felt an unknowing feeling that had taken bud in her heart.

It's just that, she doesn't hate this unknown feeling.

'What the hell is going on. Is it because of his mana flowing through my body which makes me feel closer to him?'Julian thought.

Julian shake her head to clear the useless thoughts as her eyes turned cold and sharp.

She is here to freeze the monster not to play around.

Now that she is alright and recovered, she started to freeze the monsters much faster than before.

Ami who was in the mid-air fighting against the monster making sure that it doesn't harm the Princess suddenly shocked as she saw something that shocked her entire existence.

Julian was freezing the monster while Lucas was holding her waist.

" What the hell is going on, "Ami shouted and jumped to the spot where the Princess was standing.

" Lucas...You.."Ami was fuming with anger as she thought Lucas was doing something he had never imagined.

Appearing beside both of them, Ami shouted "Lucas what are you doing."

Lucas's concentration broke when he heard Ami's loud voice and as he suddenly stopped circulating the mana, he suffered a backlash as the mana pathway was broken and spluttered blood taking a few steps back, falling.

"Whaaaa," Both Julian and Ami screamed as they saw Lucas spurting blood out of nowhere and falling.

"What happened." Both of them asked at the same time as Julian ran towards Lucas.

"Nothing, I just suffered a backlash as I stopped mana in the midway of circulation on hearing Miss Ami's voice," Lucas spoke as he wiped the blood from his lips and coughed blood.

Ami was unable to comprehend what was going on, felt her brain short-circuited as she saw both of them and seeing Julian's caring for Lucas, she thought when did the two of them become so close.

Julian stood up and explained what Lucas did.

Ami screamed again and pointing at Lucas with her trembling finger asked in her shuttering voice" Lucas...Lucas treated your illness which even the Principal couldn't find any cure."
