The Employed Empress 93 Chapter 93: Thirdwheel

No one uttered a sound. They found themselves holding their breath in utter disbelief. Even Jiang Chen didn't react to the pain on his head. "Auntie, are you alright? You're trembling..."
Wei Yi Yi tried to calm herself by taking deep breaths.
"Get me some ice from the refrigerator..." she said, distracted.
Xiao Yuan Xi made a few 'ah eh' sounds. He heard 'ice' but the rest of the sentence didn't process in his head. He tried to respond respectfully but his words came out in a jumbled mess.
He didn't know that the other two reacted the same way, and so, they turned around simultaneously and hit each other. Tang Mei end up tripping and Xiao Wang Xi grabbed her in an attempt to save her, still, both of them fall down towards Xiao Yuan Xi and he ends up as their cushion.
Jiang Liu, "...this was... totally unintentional."
Jiang Chen, "..."
Wei Yi Yi put a hand on her mouth in hope that the blood would stop. Much to her dismay, it continues to drip at the edge of her lips.
Raising her bloody hand, the sight spelled horror for her and she palpitated.
"Doctor! Call a doctor!" Wei Yi Yi said herself.
"Don't panic! It just a cut! Just a small cut!" Seeing the scary look on her face, Jiang Liu tried to pacify Wei Yi Yi.
"Auntie, it's fine! It's not a stab wound!" Jiang Chen said, thinking it will make things better.
"Just because it's not a stab wound doesn't mean it wouldn't bleed!" Wei Yi Yi cried.
Suddenly, a hand touched her chin and lift up her head. Instead of the vast sky, she was met with twin black orbs that radiates warm towards her.
That didn't register though.
"Let me have a look," Jiang Yu said. He leaned down a bit closer to have a proper look.
On reflex, both Jiang Chen and Jiang Liu created a good distance away from the couple. Jiang Liu sat properly like a high-born prince he is while Jiang Chen almost runs away.
His sixth uncle took a hold of his collar then sat him properly to the side. With just a look, Jiang Chen knew that if this uncle of his ends up in hell right now, he'll drag him together.
"Boss..." Wei Yi Yi called out and was flick on the forehead almost immediately.
"Not outside," Jiang Yu send a sidelong glance at Jiang Liu. The latter turned his head on the opposite direction. He proceeds to pretend that he was occupied by appreciating the environment.
"Spit out the blood first then let me have a look," Jiang Yu instructed. He took the handkerchief from Xiao Lin Xi then wipe away the blood on his Empress' face. He also passed her a porcelain bowl as he moved to sit beside her.
Jiang Chen inched closer to Jiang Liu side resulting for this uncle to be cornered to the edge. Jiang Liu wanted to rant about his complaints.
They both wanted to sink in the couch and erase their presence. Seeing the same desire from each other's eyes, the two felt a sense of comradeship.
As Wei Yi Yi lean forward, Jiang Yu passed her the handkerchief. She ignored it though and spit into the bowl like some wild woman from the Jianghu.
The hand that Jiang Yu raised to caress her back stopped midway.
A click clack sound ring and Wei Yi Yi saw a small part of her teeth tumbling.
The empress shrieked in horror.
Running her tongue around, she found a spot where roots remained but the crown already falls off.
A sudden thought surfaced her mind.
'How do they pull out a teeth? By string? Then what about those that lost their head?! Do they have anesthesia?!'
"Boss! Save me!"
Overreacting, Wei Yi Yi turned to hug Jiang Yu by the waist.
As the acting audiences, Jiang Chen gape at the sight while Jiang Liu let out a 'wow'.
Jiang Liu didn't know why but he felt embarrassed on their behalf. Feeling a bit hot, he took hold of his cheeks as he prepares to watch a good show. He has all the desire to clap at them, whistle and hum them a song.
"It's alright. It's not your front teeth so it doesn't show. You still look beautiful," Jiang Yu coaxed his Empress.
'That's not the point!'
Wei Yi Yi screamed deep within her heart.
"I can't breathe Boss!" Wei Yi Yi inhaled deeply, acting like she was catching her breath. "Water! Give me water!"
"Calm down first."
"I'll calm down after I have water!"
"You're panicking. You'll choke on the water."
"I'll just die then!"
"Calm down!"
Hugging so close and acting so intimate, as Jiang Chen watch this, it gives the feeling of insects crawling to his skin. With a bitter look on his face, he thought that his imperial uncle doesn't fit the picture.
Sobbing without tears, Wei Yi Yi wouldn't let go. In Jiang Liu's surprise, his brother patiently coaxed her.
"Bite into some clothes for a moment. It'll absorb the blood."
"What if it sticks on my mouth after the blood dried?!"
"I don't think it will dry."
"You mean I'll continue to bleed?!"
"Did you hit your head instead? That's not what I mean." With a hopeless sigh, Jiang Yu reach for his sleeves. Hugging Wei Yi Yi closer, he put a golden hairpin with ornamental red peony in her hair. "Here, I'll give this to you."
Wei Yi Yi stilled and retreat a bit, her other hand reached to touch the hair ornament.
Jiang Yu held her cheeks up and caress her face. Looking down, he showed her a gentle expression as he said, "Calm down already, hmm? Wait a bit, your servants are on their way to call for the imperial doctor."
Wei Yi Yi felt like she was dozed with cold water. Her tense nerves weaken. Tired, she leaned back to her supposed to be 'strong pillar of support'. In her mind, she cried, 'Boss I'm bleeding here and you still think about your fetish. You got your priorities sorted out, I see.'
Jiang Liu couldn't hold it in anymore and an 'aiyo' sound came out from his lips. Jiang Chen, Jiang Yu, and Wei Yi Yi turn to look at him.
He was blushing like a maiden and his fan didn't help to hide it at all. Seeing he was caught on peeking, he folded his fan and said, "My dear good nephew, I remember that you wanted to see the plum blossoms. Hehe. Come, come this uncle will take you."
As he talks, Jiang Liu kept winking at her direction. Wei Yi Yi suddenly wanted to poke those eyes.
