He has been standing there for the whole day. Any attempt that Xiao Wang Xi made were in vain. Even Xiao Yuan Xi could only looked helplessly at Tang Mei who would shake her head. She too, don't know what to do anymore.

The three servant could only sigh. Their shoulder hanging in defeat.

It was unknown when, but the four of them end up squatting outside Wei Yi Yi's chamber.

Every time Lan Zhuang and Si Song took her to the daycare, a classmate would start to whisper. They always thought they were quiet enough but she could hear them even in the hallway. Sometimes, Wei Yi Yi doubted whether they're actually hiding it.

"Isn't that a different guy? How many does that make?"

In middle school, she was the talk of the town. Whenever they see one of her 'brother' waiting at the gate for her, they will make a fussed.

"She's haggling them all to herself!"

Girls complained in High School. Ye Ming and He Lian grew up handsomely and girls flock at them. For them, Wei Yi Yi is an eyesore.

"Omygawd, she's dating an older guy?! What kind of girl is she?!"

They pointed at her when they saw her shopping with Lan Zhuang. She was wearing her school uniform while Lan Zhuang was wearing his suit from work. The only thing left is for them to call for the police.

"You're a girl, Wei Yi Yi! Why are you living with guys? What would the others say about me?! That I raised such shameless daughter?!"

Her mother, after going home from state, added herself to the people judging Wei Yi Yi.

Remembering all this, Wei Yi Yi laugh bitterly.

Wei Yi Yi had long notice how Lan Zhuang and the others were trying to isolate her from other people throughout their youth.

They would pick her up from her house then wait for her after school. They picked up different hobbies and gave her different kind of pet every year. Not once, did they let her felt left out nor did they abandoned her.

They might have thought they were protecting her and that she will remain oblivious to all the hurtful judgement around her if they surround her. She saw them struggle from wanting to remain together to wavering on leaving her alone so that so could have a more normal environment.

It was true though, that they were all she needed. It was the family that she choose and they too, choose her. It was all that matter.

When people whisper, she pretended not to hear. When others pointed at her, she pretend not to see. For herself and for those she loves, Wei Yi Yi have long decided to be selfish.

And right now, Wei Yi Yi wanted to act on that selfishness. She wanted to throw the last bit of responsibility she's feeling towards this 'job' and runaway. Why must she be responsible for what 'Wei Yi Yi' has done? What she wanted the most right now is search for her 'family'. Even though what she saw was nothing but a small hope, somewhere, out there, maybe Si Song is indeed here.

Wei Yi Yi bang her head on the nearest pillar. It hurt badly but that at least woke her up a little bit. She cried enough and it's such a pity if she goes down with just this.

Her 'brothers' did their best to raise her and love her. If she let others hurt her, wouldn't that made them sad? And so, to live up for the care she was given, Wei Yi Yi could only remain selfish and love herself more than what others could offer.

Right now, Wei Yi Yi is annoyed at herself and her circumstances. Who the hell approved a job transfer?! She wanted to sue that fvker!

"AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!" Wei Yi Yi reached the limit of her overthinking. She fall down back to her bed after her battery run out.

A soft knock brought Wei Yi Yi back to attention. This time, she opened the door.

It was her small nephew and he brought her some food. Wei Yi Yi's stomach shamelessly grumble at the sight of food.

It took a lot of courage for Jiang Chen to knock again after his aunt reject him a few times.

The two of them stare at each other awkwardly while their servants watched nervously. Tang Mei, Xiao Wang Xi and Xiao Yuan Xi were trying to hide at the side but not really successful at their attempt.

Wei Yi Yi turned her gaze at the three. Jiang Chen took advantage of this and invite himself in. He jumped into her bed and planted himself there.

When he did not budge even an inch, Wei Yi Yi could only stare speechlessly.

"Auntie, let's eat…?" Jiang Chen put down the tray he was holding into the bed then pat the empty side beside him.

Seeing a person smaller than her trying to take care of her, Wei Yi Yi obediently sat back to her bed. Jiang Chen brought her some fruits then a bowl of soup. Just enough for him to carry and for her to snack on.

Wei Yi Yi taste the soup and once again she wanted to cry.

Nothing here taste anything like home. Somehow, dying from preservatives doesn't seem bad anymore.

Knowing that her thoughts would run into a depressing line once again, Wei Yi Yi slap herself awake. Her cheeks sting but she needed to stay strong! Once she's better, she'll go out of the palace!

"Aunt! What's wrong?" Jiang Chen worriedly reach out to her.

When his small fingers touch her face, Wei Yi Yi fought back her instinct to flinch.

That hurts! I must be out of my mind!

With teary eyes, Wei Yi Yi emotionally said, "Lil one, apparently, your aunt here is over-dramatic."
