Jiang Yu only plan to breath some cold air to wake him up and then return right after. At the imperial study, memorials full of complaints buried the real important issues.

He scorns towards his incompetent officials. There are things that must take priority but here they are, making a mess of the slightest things! The emperor spent a good amount of the day just reprimanding the head eunuch for blindly receiving the memorials; entirely wasting his day on useless reports.

On his walk, he reaches the lake pavilion. Remembering his empress who likes to play around here, Jiang Yu turn towards Xian Feng Palace.

He suddenly wanted a glimpse of a sleeping Wei Yi Yi. And thus, he dismissed the servant doing the night vigil. Jiang Yu walk into her inner chamber and sat beside a peacefully sleeping Wei Yi Yi.

Wei Yi Yi sleeps on her side. Plenty of blankets covering her. She coiled in like a fetus. Or like a child holding onto something. Her fringes slip down to cover her face.

In a soft action, Jiang Yu lightly swept them away for her.

Her face is fully exposed now for Jiang Yu to see. Wei Yi Yi would part her lips softly exhale thru her mouth, her breathe remain in rhythm.

With a light chuckle, Jiang Yu playfully trace her face. Finding it funny, he pokes at her cheeks. Seeing no response, he brushed his fingers thru her lips.

Jiang Yu was taken aback. The small touch sends shivers thru his skin. When he observed it, her lips are small and thin, like they were carefully drawn by an artist. He then remembered the feeling, it was moist and soft.

"Wei Yi Yi." Jiang Yu whispered next to her ears.

Once again, he reaches out to touch Wei Yi Yi. This time, he allowed his fingers to rest on her lips.

And finally, his empress reacted to the touch.

She mumble something, her brows drawing closer and in annoyance, she slap away the hand that's been tickling her.

Jiang Yu whose hand just got slapped, "..."

Feeling irritable, Wei Yi Yi changes to her side and turn her back towards the emperor. Somehow, Jiang Yu felt offended by the lack of regards towards him.

He plans to touch her shoulder and turn her back, but then, Wei Yi Yi's mumbles started to become louder. Words of 'Ai' and 'love' slips out from her lips. While Jiang Yu is trying to listen clearly to her words, a sob escape from her.

"Wei Yi Yi?"

Jiang Yu jumped over to the other side of the bed. He lifts Wei Yi Yi's face and looked at her. Worried start to build up from the bottom of his heart. She kept on mumbling as if calling out for someone. Her expression worsening and she even started to shake. Cold sweats broke out from her forehead that soaks her blankets.

"Wei Yi Yi! Wei Yi Yi wake up!" Jiang Yu throw away the cover and forcefully shake her awake.

Wei Yi Yi gasped and then wake up in horror. Her eyes budged open and unfocused. She turns her eyes to the room as if searching for her demons.

Until she realized Jiang Yu is in front of her. Only then did she return to reality.

"Boss..." She called out, still short of breath.

And then, Wei Yi Yi reaches out to hug him. The warm touch relax her nerves. The sudden contact startled Jiang Yu, but after a moment, he also embraced Wei Yi Yi. He slipped his hand on her neck and they lean closer to each other.

"Boss..." Wei Yi Yi called out.

Jiang Yu still has some reservations towards this 'title' but he responded regardless. "Hmmm?"

"May you call on my maidservant, Tang Mei?"

Jiang Yu stiffens.

"Boss, I feel weak. Just shout out for me, will you?"

Wei Yi Yi continues to urge him. She really likes to have some water or anything now. Her boss turned grumpy for an unknown reason before walking out to the door. She then heard him calling out to the servants.

After she was left alone, Wei Yi Yi gathered herself for a hug. She fell into a trance once again.

Such a scene, she did not know such a scene. In her memory, she never fought with Xiao Ai.

Where did that come from?! Did she saw too much of Ye Ai Ning twisted face that she's mixing them now?! Holy fudge that is scary!

Breathe in and out. Wei Yi Yi calms herself down.
