The Employed Empress 47 Chapter 47: Teach them

The head eunuch and Xiao Wang Xi just came back from outside after picking up the refreshments meant for the empress. Instead of leading infront, Xiao Yuan Xi is buzzing around Xiao Wang Xi like an annoying mother.

Wei Yi Yi is doing some painting while Jiang Chen is sleeping on her lap. The child got sleepy after playing with some ink and brush. Before she could notice, her nephew already found a comfortable position and lay on her lap.

She dare not move at all.

After some time, Tang Mei return with the two eunuch fully reflected silently following her.

"Your majesty....." Tang Mei called out awkwardly. "Why didn't you wake up the young prince? Both of you looked uncomfortable in that position."

"If you wake up a child from his afternoon nap, he won't grow up so you cannot." The empress educate them.

'Is there such a logic?' The three servant question in their heart. It is especially doubtful since the empress would wake up the young prince from his sleep every morning to play.

Wei Yi Yi carefully pass Jiang Chen to Xiao Wang Xi who carry him back to his chamber.

"This servant shall help you massage them your ladyship." Tang Mei kneel down beside Wei Yi Yi.

"Don't touch!" Both the empress and Xiao Yuan Xi shout at her. Tang Mei look at the two frighten people questioning their mentality; her hand left in mid air and her desire to just poke intensify.

The empress left the bath without drying her hair properly. Jiang Yu look at her quite enchanted.

"Sit here for a while." Jiang Yu took the towel away from her and assist her to the bronze mirror. He then proceed to help her dry her hair.

Wei Yi Yi obediently sat there and let him do what he wanted. From time to time he would peek at her from the mirror and saw her looking at him too.

Knowing she's not against such intimacy, Jiang Yu happily run down his fingers along her hair.

The wet and sticky hair slowly turn to a soft and silky one. Jiang Yu sighed in bliss when they brush off on his skin.

"Ye Shi wouldn't let me do this." Jiang Yu said absentmindedly.

An emperor should not serve anyone, she always told him. If it is not in bed, Jiang Yu cannot be intimate with her, as he need to conduct himself.

Because he is the emperor.

It's not like Ye Ai Ning is wrong.

She's not wrong.

"Boss, never compare your most beloved to someone else. She'll loose her value if you did so." Wei Yi Yi told him, interrupting his inner monologue.

"My empress is calling me that again," he said but his tone is soft with a tingle of helplessness.

"Your treasure could only shine so brightly if you allow it." Wei Yi Yi taught her with reprimanding tone.

People are full of flaws while love is blind.

Isn't it fitting? To see your dearest with filtered eyes? Only in each other's view could you be the most beautiful.

"Is the empress educating zhen on how to treat the consorts?" Jiang Yu asked in a amused tone.

After drying her hair, Jiang Yu lean in to embrace her then proceed to carry her to sleep. "Let's get in bed now."

Wei Yi Yi suddenly cough so hard, both of them thought she'll vomit blood.

"..... Did you not----"

"COUGH! COUGH!"

'Sore throat tomorrow? No problem!' Wei Yi Yi thought as she proceed to pat her chest with an alarming strength.

"..Drink your medicine..." Jiang Yu trailed off.

Thus, the empress and the emperor continues to sleep like good old friends. Like, really, just sleeping.....
