The Employed Empress 35 Chapter 35: A night to remember

At the parlour, Wei Yi Yi and Jiang Yu silently ate their meal. The servants are assisting them at the side.

Wei Yi Yi was not used to being served so she simply wave them away. Normally, she would dismissed the other servants and dine together with Tang Mei and the rest. She hated it when there's many rules while eating and yet she can't do anything about it as Jiang Yu is here.

Not enjoying her meal, Wei Yi Yi want to get rid of her boss for the first time.

As for Jiang Chen, that kid is getting smarter. He swiftly hide in his room, dragging Xiao Wang Xi with him and make her the scapegoat. If that kid did not experience a traumatic event just recently, she would drag him out to suffer with her.

Jiang Yu observed Wei Yi Yi as she ate. The woman dislike her vegetables and only pick up the meaty and oily dishes. And as usual, she like her tea. A whole pot was not enough to share with him so a maid brew another one.

"Zhen will be sleeping here tonight." Jiang Yu said in the middle of silence.

Tang Mei got shocked. Excitement and expectations immediately followed.

Were the emperor and the empress finally going to consummate their marriage?!

Hot on her heels. Tang Mei asked to be excuse. She run off to arrange the inner chamber and ready the bath. Even Xiao Yuan Xi who is in the middle of his long punishment wanted to go and instruct the servants. Sadly, Wei Yi Yi wouldn't allow him to take his punishment on a later date, he regretted so much his intestine turn green.

Despite all of her servants running in frenzy, Wei Yi Yi simply gave a nod and resumed her meals.

'Seems like my morning exercise is out of the list.' she thought to herself.

Jiang Yu gave an awkward cough with her reaction.

Late at night, Wei Yi Yi is drying her hair infront of a bronze mirror after a warm bath. Jiang Yu found a book at her bedside and flip a few page.

He would steal a few glances at Wei Yi Yi from time to time.

A beauty under a candle light is truely alluring. Her cheeks gave a pinkish glow under the light and her long hair freely flow down her back. As her husband, only he could see her at this state.

In actual fact, Jiang Yu have no plan nor objective in coming here. He accidentally came here after walking around to calm himself.

He only brought out sleeping over here as an excuse for coming over unannounced. Jiang Yu forgot that they are husband and wife and that coming over simply to bond is normal. This says a lot on her view towards Wei Yi Yi all this time. He probably sees her as his empress but never his other half.

In this sense, Wei Yi Yi and him are in the same page.

In her thin sleeping garment, Wei Yi Yi approached the bed. "Which side?" she asked.

Jiang Yu dumbly looked at her. When they came at this step, Jiang Yu end up having expectations.

Sensing his stiffness, Wei Yi Yi took the first actions. She kneel over the bed and gently push Jiang Yu to the inside part. Jiang Yu allowed the close contact and even got excited when she finally lay under the covers.

With graceful movement, Wei Yi Yi blows the candle and darkness immediately flood over. Only the moonlight coming from the window serves as a guiding light.

Blurry silhouettes mixed with the sweet fragrance coming from the air, thin robes remain as the only thing separating their fleshs, and the warm breathing coming from each other instigate a new spark inside Jiang Yu.

After much deliberation, he move a little closer to let Wei Yi Yi into his embrace. A moment of waiting passed but Wei Yi Yi did not move to take a hold of him.

Jiang Yu abruptly raised. Wei Yi Yi eyes are close. He tap her shoulder and whispered, "Wei Yi Yi?" No reaction. He checked her breathing. Steady and Uniform.

Wei Yi Yi slept the moment her head hit the pillow. A fire burned inside Jiang Yu, he wanted to shout in frustration.

Just what is wrong with this woman?!

Wei Yi Yi could not be blame for this. Just think about who raise her. Four good looking young men.

She grew up having overnights with her being the only girl. They would also take her out to camp and sleep in one tent. Not one moment did they not include Wei Yi Yi in their activities.

Every movie night, Wei Yi Yi would lay blankets and pillows at the floor and the others would steal her space.

The five of them end up sleeping everytime.

When she open her eyes, it's either Ye Ming's feet is at her face, He Liang making her a pillow or Si Song kicking her out of the covers. Lan Zhuang is the only one who had a proper sleeping habit.

Excitement, awkwardness, and expectations sleeping with a man? There's none on her. Not even any dirty thoughts about it.

"Wei Yi Yi!"

The soft snore coming from Wei Yi Yi continue.

As a person who needed more than five alarms to wake up differently from her body clock, a little noise such as Jiang Yu shouting is nothing but a bug cricketing.
