Inside, some servants greeted the emperor at the door while the others run off to inform the imperial noble consort.

Still, Ye Ai Ning did not go out of her chambers to received Jiang Yu. The emperor simply wave away the attending servants. This set of actions speak loud on how favored the consort is.

"My beloved consort, are you still upset?"

Jiang Yu step closer to Ye Ai Ning who was busy practicing her calligraphy. He put his hands in her shoulders and slowly massage her, hoping it could help remove the strain.

Ye Ai Ning probably got scared when she heard someone tried to assassinate him, and yet he left her to worry by herself.

Thinking that Ye Ai Ning is being silly, Jiang Yu laugh and kiss her on her hair.

"Ning'er," he softly called out.

Unexpectedly, Ye Ai Ning rudely rejected him. "Don't touch me!" she stood up and and weakly pushed the emperor. With a complaining attitude, she said, "It is true that you did not punish Wei Yi Yi?! And you punished Feng Lei instead for her?!"

This two are actually not in the same page.

"Ning'er! Don't address the empress by her name! Also, zhen already said that it is imperial concubine Feng that is at fault." Jiang Yu reprimand her not about her actions but on how she address the empress.

Ye Ai Ning started to act hysterical. She talked non stop that resulted in Jiang Yu looking at her weirdly. Jiang Yu simply felt at lost when she started to cry. How did they reach here?

"How did it came to that? Just how did those two fighting involved you? The empress have flaws but she's never unreasonable towards the consorts. Zhen at least could understand that." Jiang Yu tried to talk it out.

Wei Yi Yi is a little indifferent towards the harem. But the empress is still the empress, Jiang Yu cannot force her to get involved more than she deemed necessary.

'And you're still siding with her! Aren't I the one you truely loves?!'

Jiang Yu left the chamber and out of the Zhu Yu Palace. Ye Ai Ning sent him off with her gaze. Even her got scared with her own self.

Out of the corner, one of the maidservant run off to the direction of the Bai Yi Palace and entered the south courtyard.

With a stick on her hand, Wei Yi Yi poke the kneeling Xiao Yuan Xi's legs. The eunuch let out a disturbing scream.

"Does it felt like being electrocute?" she asked. The eunuch gave her a questioning look. "It means being hit by thunder. Oh but like just a tiny little bit of touch?"

Black lines appeared on Xiao Yuan Xi and Tang Mei's face. They could not understand.

"Empress this servant know his wrongs."
