Where do you see a master trying to comfort his servant that keep on saying he will claim his life?

The empress was quite amused. She gave herself a plus point for having good eyes on which people to follow.

"What's so funny?" Jiang Yu ask her inside the carriage.

"You're so handsome boss!" she gave him an empty praise.

News travel fast. It reach the palace in a blink of an eye. When they return, she saw Jiang Yu's servants and trusted confidants awaiting for him. He gave him a side way glance before he run off to the direction of his study.

In her way towards Xiang Feng Palace, she saw Xiao Yuan Xi anxiously running in her direction. Wei Yi Yi open her arms, ready to give her beautiful shou a welcoming embrace.

He stopped a few steps though. Wei Yi Yi pouted her lips.

"Your ladyship, are you alright? Are you injured?! If you have taken me, this servant could have protect you!" Xiao Yuan Xi could not help but put blame on his tone. Just how worried he is when he heard assassins attacked his mistress.

"Ayieee! Perhaps Ah Yuan thinks of me the whole day I'm gone?" Wei Yi Yi said playfully to her silly servant.

"Please don't tease this servant!"

Xiao Yuan Xi settled the servants down and summoned the imperial doctors inside once they reach her palace. Wei Yi Yi observed them as they busied themself. She kept herself alert in case they decide to prescribe her some tonics.

No way she'll submerge herself from suffering!

"Your Majes---" Wei Yi Yi cut the doctor off. "I'm like----super fine!" she insists.

The doctor was speechless. He open his mouth to talk. "Sssssssshhhhhh!!! Believe me!" he got interrupted again.

Wei Yi Yi saw his eye twitch a few times. Conscience finally ate her as she shyly lowered her eyes.

"Your majesty, your wrist is dislocated." The doctor poke her wrist in his irritation.

"AAAAWWW!" The empress shriek.

"Imprudent!" Tang Mei and Xiao Yuan Xi shouted together.

The two servant got mad and wanted to throw the doctor out. Wei Yi Yi got scared for this person whose only doing his job. She's most scared on what the fierce Tang Mei could do. She end up calling the other servants to send the two to rest.

Anyway, there's nothing they could do. It's not like they know how to administer some first aid.

"Rest well Tang Mei." she bid her goodnight while the doctor is bandaging her hands.

Wei Yi Yi end up with a bothersome plank of wood sticking to her.

"You're early, your ladyship. Are you going for a run?" Tang Mei greeted her on the morning.

"En." She does not want to destroy her body clock just beacuse of a small dislocation.

Tang Mei did not stop her mistress, she considered the fact that only her hand were injured. Also, she's prepare on what trouble Wei Yi Yi might dug on the way.

When Wei Yi Yi walk out of her chamber, she got surprised by a child standing outside.

"Ah Chen?" She patted her chest. "Lil' one, don't scare me like that. I thought you were chukie." Wei Yi Yi almost kick him.

Children are scary when they appear out of no where. She's not use to when Jiang Chen get out of his bed obediently.

"Imperial Aunt..." Jiang Chen silently called out.

"Hmm? Did you miss auntie? Aiyo, kids these days are not honest, always pretending you don't like playing with your aunt here." she tease him.

Wei Yi Yi intend to carry her small dumpling so she reach out. But her hands stopped midway when she heard him choking on his words. "Imperial Aunt--- my servant.. he---"

Jiang Yu was wild awake all night. The long and silent night scared the life out of him.

He must take back Xiao Wang Xi. He cannot loose this person. He only have him.

For a child whose life could be count on one finger, the two years he was with Xiao Wang might as well be his whole life. It was no exaggeration that he grew up only knowing Xiao Wang Xi; That he grew up treating his servant as his only companion. His whole world only revolved around this person.

The small child tossed on his bed the whole night. He stressed himself and end up crying for his helplessness.

"Ah chen, what's wrong?" Wei Yi Yi kneeled infront of the young man. She hold up his cheek on her palm. Jiang Chen's eyes are red and swollen. He obviously cried for reasons unknown to her.

"Jiang Chen?" Wei Yi Yi looked panicky at the child. With doubts creeping at her heart, she grabbed his arms, she then brushed off his sleeves away.

"Where did you get this?" There were bruises, cuts and burns around his tender arm. His wrist are as swollen as hers. The mark that's been gone returned, showing her an ugly sight.

She loosen his lapels and saw more bruises and burns!

Wei Yi Yi hated the burning sensation she felt on her chest. That uncomfortable feeling she always loathe came full force at her.

"Xiao Yuan Xi!"

An angry roar wake up the whole Xiang Feng palace.

The empress might act mightily and authoritative from time to time, but Tang Mei never dream of the day that the always carefree empress could shout with a deep and scary tone.

The empress reaction with the assassination yesterday was no where like this!

"No... No need...Imperial Aunt listen--- Xiao Wang was.." Jiang Yu got scared as well as the others. But he already steeled his heart when he decided to ask for help with her. He just wanted his servant back.

Nervousness consume him when Wei Yi Yi ignore him.

With a submissive bow, she replied, "Y--yes, your majesty, th---this servant will go now."

Tang Mei saw her majesty carried the imperial nephew in her embrace.

The empress voice as she talk was tranquil; like soothing a baby, away from her fierceness show just a moment ago.

But the underlying tone on her words carried promises of death.
