The Divine Anime System 65 Full Counter

*Sigh

'SSOOOOO SSLLLOOOOWWWW' Rei said in his mind as he missed being able to summon an armada of blades like before. 

[Patience is a virtue host.]

The system reminded Rei as he sat down after practise.

"I know but still..." Rei moaned.

"?!" Rei suddenly sat up as he felt Meliodas' presence near by.

Standing up onto his small chubby feet, Rei waddled over to where Meliodas' location. Seeing him waddle, the servants in the palace laughed at his cuteness. Rei could only blush in emabrrasment as he waddled faster. 

'Won't be laughing when you realise that I could have ended you with a sneeze before....' Rei cursed in his mind as he continued to waddle faster.

*Plop plop plop plop....

Rei's footsteps could be heard as he continued to waddle holding his hands out to balance a little. Soon his could he Meliodas talking to the king of Liones. 

"Meoas!Meoas!" Rei's childish voice rang out as he plodded over. Rei cursed his current body as he couldn't fully pronouce Meliodas' name.

"Mn? Oh Rei!" Meliodas said smiling as he crouched down and picked up Rei. 

Rei wiggled slightly as he tried to get comfortable but could only frown slightly seeing the attempt in vain. 

"Hahahahaha" King Liones laughed in humor seeing Rei's attempts to shuffle in a more comfortable position.

"Sate sate sate, Rei chan where do you want to go?" Meliodas asked with a smile.

"Tain tain!" Rei called out to Meliodas.

"Ohya? Training? Sure." Meliodas replied happily as he and the king took Rei to the training grounds.

Rei watched the holy knights perform their routines as well as use some abilities, these included gravity, wind, thunder, invisibility and more. Meliodas watched Rei in curiosity as he could feel his aura change slightly every time he watched a holy knight perform a ability of theirs. 

"Rei? Want to see me fight?" Meliodas asked wanting to try something out.

Rei's eyes sparkled as he really wanted to get Meliodas' Full counter so he nodded enthusiastically. 

Handing Rei over to the king of Liones, Meliodas walked over to the holy knights.

"All right everyone! We're going to have a mock battle and all of you are going to fire your abilities at me." Meliodas said which enraged some of the holy knights as it seemed like Meliodas was looking down on them.

"AH? Arrogant kid, I'm enough to deal with you." A holy knight said walking up to Meliodas.

Without even looking at him, Meliodas swung his hand and the knight went through a pillar. 

Seeing this, the other holy knights quickly went on guard against Meliodas.

"It's alright, all of you fight him seriously." King Liones said with a stroke of his beard as he held Rei who is watching seriously to try gain Meliodas' Full counter.

Hearing this, all of the knights put on a serious face as they could tell from the King's voice that he held huge trust in Meliodas' strenght. 

Gathering energy, they started to fire off all of their abilities. An array of energy could be seen firing off in the air as meliodas only smiled at the incoming attacks. 

"Full counter." Meliodas said simply as he waved his sword and the energy shot back towards their respective knights shocking them. Rei on the other hand could see that Meliodas had used the momentum of the energy and the space around it to push it back towards the knights. 

'I see.... I can't believe I forgot that I can use space like that.' Rei mentally facepalmed himself.

"Sate sate sate, Rei did you see that?" Meliodas said as he turned towards Rei.

Rei was still thinking about other ways he could have used the law of space so he absent-mindedly nodded. Soon Rei wanted to try out the new ability he just got so his tried to gesture for them to fire a weak ability at him.

"Boom a me!" Rei pointed at the group of knights before back at himself.

"You want them to fire an ability at you?" Meliodas asked seeing Rei do the gesture.

Rei nodded as he forgot he was supposed to be a one year old. Meliodas was slightly suspicious at the act of intelligence but decided to hold off on the suspicions for now.

"Hey you, fire a small fire at the baby." Meliodas said pointing at Rei.

"I can't do that to a child." The knight refused adamantly. 

"How about this, i hold him and you fire it to me and him. I'll counter it don't worry." Meliodas reassured. 

"Even so, I wont risk it." The knight continued to refuse causing Rei to frown slightly before struggling out of the kings hug and waddled over to Meliodas. He then pointed at the knight and gestured back to him and Meliodas. 

"See he's fine with it." Meliodas chuckled seeing Rei's movements.

"Fine but get someone else to do it. I refuse to use my ability against a child even if your protecting him." The knight said as he turned away. meliodas looked at the other knights at training area who avoided his gaze. 

*Sigh..

"Sorry buddy." Meliodas crouched down to Rei who was frowning as he wanted to try out full counter as soon as possible. 

"Meliodas." A voice suddenly spoke out.

"Merlin!" Meliodas said turning around to Merlin. 

"I can do you this favour seen as though this child here knows what he's doing." Merlin said as her gaze bore into Rei who started to have cold sweat run on his back. 

"Ok take it easy on the small guy ok?" Meliodas said as he stepped behind Rei to ensure nothing goes wrong.

"Ok, fire ball." Merlin said simply as a small fire ball shot towards Rei.

'Full counter.' Rei though as he reflected the energy back easily causing Merlin to be slightly shocked as she didn't expect Rei to use full counter.

"Hou~ How much can you reflect." Merlin said as she fired another attack but boosted slightly with the use of her infinity ability.

Rei saw the use of the infinity ability but decided to ignore that for now as he could feel that this attack may go through the upper limit of his current Full Counter. Using the ability once more, they could see Rei send back a portion of it before the rest broke through and attacked Rei. Before Meliodas could react, Rei started to eat the energy attack in a state of panic. 

*Burp~

Rei burped slightly as he finished eating that hefty meal of his. 

"Oh? You ate that attack." Merlin said with her curiosity peaked. Maliodas on the other hand was even more confused as he had seen Rei eat energy in such as manner before when he had used his dark element to attack him out of his anger, which to this day he still felt guilty for trying to kill a surviving kid. 

Rei sat down tired as he realised that him right now could only use a small portion of the abilities he gained through the use of The End until he get's stronger. Meliodas picked Rei up as he could see that Rei is tired after his stunt. Rei 'allowed' himself to be picked up by Meliodas as he could feel the fatigue creeping up on him after using Full Counter. 

Seeing Rei fall asleep, Meliodas took him away from the area with Merlin and the king.

"What was that?" The king asked as he could see Rei copying Meliodas' ability.

Shaking his head, Meliodas replied with,

"No idea, but it seem's like when he see's an ability. He is able to copy them granted at a lower power output since he is still a child right now." 

"Then do you know why he is able to eat energy and covert it over for himself?" Merlin asked clearly curious about Rei's all demon/god slayer magic.

"No but I seen him use this before 1 year ago when I found him in Danafor." Meliodas said hinting at Merlin on how Rei was able to eat his demon powers.

Merlin's face grew serious as she knew what this implied. When Rei grows up, he would be the perfect counter for the 10 commandments.

"So what do you plan for him?" Merlin asked.

"I think I'll adopt him." Meliodas said as he looked at the sleeping Rei.

"Wait are you sure? Isn't this too much of a jump?" Merlin said quickly.

"I owe him too much for what I have done. I should help make him stronger so that he can protect himself." Meliodas said which the king was confused as he didn't know what Meliodas owed this child for, but he did not question him as he knew Meliodas was easily stronger than the best holy knight and having Meliodas work for him so far was already great.
