"So what we know right now is that the War God is behind this and that he caused most of the other gods to lose their minds. I've already examined the condition and the results were the spell releasing an energy inside their bodies. This energy causes hallucinations and shows the person their mental demons." Rei said as people nodded.

Yaiba raised up his hand showing that he didn't understand.

"What's a mental demon?"

"A mental demon is the cultivator's inner fear. When not dealt with, it would disrupt a person's cultivation and make them lose their minds. I've already made a counter." Rei said holding up a seal.

"Each of you gets this seal and try to pass it onto as many people as you can. When you attack the cultivators infected by their mental demons, the seal will take over and stop that." Rei explained.

"So it's a virus?" Tatsuya said hearing the description.

"Er... Pretty much yeah." Rei nodded after a thought.

"What about the war god." Ophelia asked with a frown.

"I'll take care of him." Rei replied.

"The basic gist of everything is that I want you to infect people with the virus so it overwrites the mental demons." Rei concluded.

"So... we just punch them really hard?" Luffy asked.

"Yes Luffy, you just punch them really hard." Rei smiled wearily.

Rei made sure that everyone had a separate seal on them which protected them as well as boost their powers.

As everyone left, Eve walked over.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The Choetsu. The negative effects." Eve said with worry.

"Oh that. You don't have to worry." Rei smiled giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"If I could redirect Tatsuya's debuffs why can't I do the same to mine." Rei smiled.

"Che, you should have told me earlier. Saves me from worrying." Eve said but felt relieved.

"Also Eve do you know about-"

"Dad? Yeah I know. Master told me." Eve said sadly.

"Then you know of his killer." Rei said slowly.

"The goddess of Fate and True Death." She replied causing Rei to sigh slightly.

"What do you plan to do when you see his killer." Rei asked.

"What else? I can't kill her permanently life what she did to dad. But I can definitely torture her." Eve said with gritted teeth.

"I see..." Rei muttered as he reached out and pulled something out from mid-air.

"This is a fragment of his soul I recovered from when he sent the message to my trials. When he sent it to me, he had already made sure to separate it from his own soul so it wouldn't be destroyed. I think he was gambling on whether or not I'm able to salvage this. In time, he should be able to re-enter reincarnation." Rei said as Eve looked at the soul.

"...Thank you." Eve said as she hugged him.

Rei patted her head before storing away the soul.

'I just hope she can forgive Kyra should I save her.' Rei thought.

'You know her killer personally?' Lucifer asked.

'What? You can't read my mind like before?'

'Nope, not after you reached God Hood.'

'I see, well let's just say yes. Yes I do.' Rei replied.

'You have to make a clear choice if that's the case. Seen as though you have to choose one or the other, you should make some mental preparation. I would suggest trying for a third route but the chances of losing both of which you care for is also high.' Lucifer said as Rei nodded.

Letting go of her, Rei sent everyone out of the 5th dimension as they shot off to assist everyone.

Flying high into the air, Rei sent his senses out to encompass the entire city as he searched for the war god.

Seeing no sign of him in the city, Rei frowned before turning towards the Forsaken Realm.

'Could he be in there...' Rei thought as he focused his senses on the Forsaken Realm.

Sitting in the centre throne room, the War God sat with a smile.

Rei frowned when he saw both Kyra, in his old body, and Lia next to the War God.

'Lucifer, you stay in the city.' Rei said as Lucifer appeared.

"Like I said before. Make a clear choice." He reminded.

Rei nodded before teleporting away.

Lucifer stayed in the air as Eve appeared not too long after.

"He's gone to find the War God." Lucifer said.

"He knows who killed dad doesn't he? If not, why would he go out of his way to try to appease me like this. I'm not an idiot." Eve said looking towards Lucifer.

"Yet he still chose you in the end. All that whilst ignoring the pain he would feel to kill her for good." Lucifer said as he could sense Rei's determination.

"You've arrived." The War God said as Kyra and Lia perked up.

Rei landed softly as he looked at the three.

"Kyra, seems like you've changed a lot over the years. Lia, nice to see you again. And as for you War God, you're still an unbearable asshole." Rei said as the War God grinned.

"Tsk tsk tsk, still at True God Emperor yet still so arrogant." The War God said as Rei only smiled.

"You should leave Kyra and Lia out of this. Just a good old fist fight between two men." Rei said as the War God only laughed.

"Still clinging onto the hope that they can be saved. Kyra's long gone and Lia will follow soon after. Jesus, you are just like your mother. Prioritising life over everything." The War God said as Rei frowned.

His eyes shifted as he glared at the War God.

"What do you know about my mother." Rei said with a frown.

"Now you see. Your mother... like fuck I would tell you." The War God said as he appeared in front of Rei.

Rei blocked his punch as he gritted his teeth.

Between blocking and punching, Rei had to avoid Kyra's daggers as well whilst Lia had a pale face holding herself back.

Summoning both Kyoki and Tengoku, Rei coated both with Chaos element.

The War God only grinned as he summoned his own sword.

Holding a blade in reverse grip, Rei deflected the sword as he pinned it down whilst the other sword cut towards his head.

Kyra suddenly jumped between the blade as Rei gritted his teeth and pulled back.

Stamping down, golden chains wrapped around Kyra as Rei refocused back on the War God.

The War God sneered when Rei suddenly felt danger and fazed through the ground reappearing a few metres away.

'Why didn't Enkidu work...' Rei thought with a frown. Kyra was standing there unaffected.

"Aww poor Rei. Did Enkidu not work? Did the trusty Akashic Records fail you?" The War God grinned as Rei narrowed his eyes.

"As I thought, you were the one who held the Akashic Record Branches. You made those soul locks." Rei said as the War God rolled his eyes.

"No shit." He replied before charging forward after morphing his sword into a spear.

*CLANG!

The spear was blocked as Rei created a magic circle under the both of them.

The magic circle didn't even last a second before being destroyed.

"Che!"

Creating his avatar, Rei blocked another attack as he created several swords around him that shot towards the War God.

"Useless!" He shouted as the swords shattered on impact from being cancelled out.

Rei frowned as it seemed like his skills doesn't work at all. Using more skills will just be a waste of energy.

'Then why doesn't he cancel out Kyoki and Tengoku.' Rei thought with a frown.

"URAHH!" The War God shouted as he ripped the avatar in half leaving Rei exposed.

Shifting Kyoki into a spear and Tengoku into a shield, Rei parried once more.

The two glared at each other as the War God wore a grin on his face.

Rei suddenly saw Kyra flying past towards the battlefield as he wanted to send his senses over but couldn't due to the War God pressuring him.

"Hehehe, wondering where your sister's heading now? Oh little wife Eve is all alone right now. I wonder what would happen if she saw you?" The War God said as Rei felt his breathing quicken.

The War God became happier feeling Rei's anger.

Turning Tengoku into a smaller shield, Rei smashed the War God in the side of the cranium before turning Kyoki into a spear.

His hands flinched before he finally threw the spear.

"HAAA!!!"

The spear shot after Kyra as she reached closer to the battlefield.

*BOOMMMM!!!!!

The spear landed on her(his) lower body as it smashed her out of the air.

Landing near Eve, she turned over to see a bloody 'Rei'.

"Rei!" She called out in shock as she quickly ran over.

Rei's face paled as he saw the scene. Wanting to head over quickly, Rei turned his back to the War God.

"Hehehe, too bad." The War God said as he created two chains to hold Rei down.

Breaking the chains, Rei still couldn't find a chance to leave.

Turning Tengoku into a greatsword, Rei parried the sword as he let the sword slid down the greatsword's blade.

*BOOOMM!!!

Taking the chance to smash the War God away, Rei teleported next to her using the 5th dimension only to see Eve's soul scatter away.

'Make a clear choice' Lucifer's words rang out in his mind seeing the scene.

When he came back to his senses, he saw Kyra flying through the air.

"Hehehe, wondering where your sister's heading now? Oh little wife Eve is all alone right now. I wonder what would happen if she saw you?" The War God said.

Rei's eyes became bloodshot as he smashed the War God in the stomach.

Backflipping, Rei kicked the War God in the chin before using the momentum to morph both Kyoki and Tengoku.

Chaos Element and Destruction Element wrapped around the spear as Rei gritted his teeth.

'I'm sorry.'

He thought before throwing the spear.

Just the initial throw caused the Forsaken Realm to crack as Rei put the entirety of his strength behind the throw.

Feeling the danger behind her, Kyra turned around as she saw the spear. The moment she saw it, the spear had already pierced her body causing her eyes to widen.

She tried to rewrite her fate but was shocked when she saw her soul being consumed by the chaos element stopping the revival.

Without even muttering a single word, she was erased from where she flew.

"ARRRRRRHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Rei cried out in anguish feeling the erasure of his sister's soul.

"Oh wow, how merciless. Erasing the soul even more thoroughly than she would with her God Title. Tsk tsk tsk." The War God sneered seeing Rei stand in the centre of a crater.

Rei turned around quickly as his eyes were bloodshot. The War God paused at the sheer amount of blood lust radiating off Rei was the most he had ever seen.

Rei stuck out his hand as both Tengoku and Kyoki reappeared still the form of the spear.

*BOOMM!!!

A single step caused the ground to shatter as Rei stabbed towards the War God using Transcendent Trajectory EX with his spear.

*PING PING PING PING PING PING

The War God blocked every single one of them as kept his grin.

"To go so far as to erase your sister's soul permanently just to protect your lover. Colour me impressed Rei. Colour me impressed. Perhaps I was wrong about how you were like your mother. Please, do surprise me." The War God said causing Rei to grit his teeth harder.

During that moment, Rei understood that Kyra had used the last of her will to allow him to see Eve's 'fate'. What could have happened was prevented due to Kyra's choice. A choice she knew would end her permanently.
