The Divine Anime System 191 Invasion part 2

The north was unmanned as there weren't as many peak True Gods looking after that area. Not to mention there were areas in between the four of these main directions.

Whilst reading the rules, Rei was also focusing on the situation at hand.

"This isn't good at all." Rei frowned before twisting his hands in a certain direction.

The mangled corpse of a camouflaged beast suddenly appeared as Rei flung the body to one side following the corpse hill he had been making.

He couldn't cover the entire city either as the army he gets in Shojun was limited as well. Not to mention, they were designed to be cannon fodder to begin with. They barely had individual prowess as they only served to power him on.

"System, what's the percent of rules I've read till now?" Rei asked.

"Tsk!"

Rei frowned seeing that he was just halfway.

"Lucifer!" Rei called out as Lucifer appeared besides him.

"You called?"

"Go help Vex in the south." Rei said simply as Lucifer nodded.

'Tengoku, Kyoki, you hear me?' Rei asked internally.

'Yes, what do you need?' Tengoku asked.

"Would you two be able to cover the northern area?" Rei asked.

'Maybe. Right now both me and Kyoki's power is averaging around the mid-level of True God.' Tengoku replied as Rei nodded.

'Help out as much as you can.' He eventually said.

Energy flowed out of him as both Kyoki and Tengoku materialised.

"Go." Rei commanded simply as they left for the northern area.

Seeing the scrolling rules, Rei gritted his teeth.

"No this isn't enough. By the time I finish, the casualties would be too big." Rei muttered.

"Unless...."

Rei suddenly had an idea as he deactivated his eyes.

'Ophelia! Can you hear me?' Rei thought making a link to her.

'Yeah I can. How's the progress?'

'I've stopped. It would take too long. Instead I have a better idea.'

'What do you mean?'

'I'm going to drag everyone in the god ranks and the Forsaken Beasts into a sealed dimension. The dimension is a projection of my inner world.'

'What about the beasts below god ranks?'

'My army will deal with it.' Rei replied.

'Alright, what do you need me to do?'

'I need you to get help in killing the True God Emperor Beasts. Dragging them in would take a large portion of my energy so with each one dead, the job becomes easier.'

'How many True God Emperors are there?'

'I'd say about 49 not including the one I've already killed.'

'49!?! You want us True God's to kill that many of them?!'

'Try kill as many of them. The more you kill the less I'll be weakened after dragging them in. The less I'm weakened the more I can fight.' Rei explained as Ophelia went silent.

'Tsk. We'll try killing as many of them, don't get your hopes up though.' Ophelia said annoyed.

'I won't. While you do that, I'll also help by killing a few of them.' Rei replied before cutting the link.

"With my energy resources, I should be able to kill ten of them or so and be able to pull the rest in. But it'll leave me incapacitated for a while." Rei muttered with a frown.

"I'll get rid of five first." Rei said as a fire lit up in the palm of his hands.

The purifying flames raged as it started to melt everything around him.

Floating up into the sky, Rei allowed for the flames to grow.

When the flames grew to a decent size, Rei threw both flames up into the sky as he clutched his hands.

*BOOOOMMMM!!!

The sky opened up with a blinding light causing everyone to pause. Portals opened in each edge of a pentagram with Rei in the centre.

"Haa!!!!" Rei shouted as his own aura flared covering his portion of the city. From the portals, Phoenixes made from the purifying flames appeared as they shot towards the True God Emperor Ranked beasts reducing them to ashes.

'I'm still in the safe zone.' Rei thought feeling his energy reserves.

"Eve you know what you bloody husband just told us to do?" Ophelia said as she cut another beast up.

"Hm? What did he say like?" Eve asked confused.

"He wanted us to kill as many True God Emperor Beasts as we can." Ophelia cursed as Eve thought and nodded.

"Sure, I should be able to take a few of them down." Eve said as Ophelia turned to her.

"I know that you're at Pseudo God Empress rank, but fighting a True God Emperor isn't that easy." Ophelia said with a frown.

"I never said it was easy. But fighting is not always about the power. But rather how to counter." Eve smiled.

"I understand. But countering the sheer physical strength of a True God Emperor would be hard. Plus, the True God Emperor Beasts are intelligent." Ophelia frowned.

"Don't worry Master. Let me show you a little something." Eve smiled as she turned to the closest True God Emperor.

Before Ophelia could stop her, Eve catapulted herself using the wires like rubber bands.

As she shot through the sky, she saw the True God Emperor Beast shaped like a giant humanoid.

"Makes things a lot easier." Eve grinned as she controlled her wires. She made sure not to wrap it tightly as she caught his attention.

"Come." Eve said giving him the middle finger as her spare hand threaded more wires around the area.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!

The humanoid started to smash around as each smash would destroy a large portion of the city.

Eve continued to dodge and hit the beast making sure it gets irritated.

As it brought its hands up for a downward smash, Eve quickly threaded together a sheet of string.

*BOOM!!

The sheet was threaded so fast that by the time the True God Emperor realised it had already hit the sheet.

As the sheet smashed downwards from the impact, the previously loose wires tightened up instantly around the True God Emperor's body, slicing him apart using his own power against him.

"Only the physical powers of a True God Emperor. If he had any other benefits then it would have been dangerous." Eve said as she made sure it was dead.

In the time she took to kill one, she saw the pentagram Rei created and killed five.

"Hehe as powerful as ever." Eve smiled as she made her way back to Ophelia.

"Bai Wu, we have to go kill a True God Emperor. You think you're up to the task?" Miko asked as she turned to Bai Wu who frowned.

"I'm not too sure. My skill set isn't the best for fighting against a True God Emperor." She admitted as she too knew the limit of what she could do.

"At least you understand. Honestly, I don't think we can kill one either. Our attack power just isn't enough to damage the physical defences of the True God emperor." Miko said shaking her head.

"I said I'm not too sure, but I never said it was impossible." Bai Wu said as the lessons about combat Rei taught her flowed into her mind.

'It all boils down to a few main points. Weakness, Counter and Exploitation. You find the weakness, you disable the counter it has in place to protect that weakness, then you exploit the weakness and defeat the enemy.'

The True God Emperor near her was a giant horned earth dragon.

A plan formed in her head as she walked calmly towards it.

"You're joking right Bai Wu? You know that if you get heavily injured in this fight your hubby will blame me right?" Miko asked with a fluctuating smile. Being at the receiving end of Rei's anger or blame wasn't something she was willing to find out.

"I know~" Bai Wu smiled as she had already gained the attention of the earth dragon.

*CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK

The ground split open as the earth dragon clawed its way to her.

Aiming its horn at her, Bai Wu signalled Miko to dodge.

Wind element surged around her as Bai Wu opened her two fans.

As the earth dragon was about to hit her, she twisted her body gracefully to the side of the horn before reversing the entire momentum of the dragon sending him into the air.

Using the wind to increase the speed of the dragon falling, Bai Wu created a small portal just big enough for the horns.

As the speed reached its peak, the horn of the dragon entered the portal. The exit was right in front of the dragon's underbelly as the horn pierced the dragon's body entirely.

Miko was about to comment on how graceful it all was as it was like a dance. But paused when she saw Bai Wu transform her fans into canister like objects and stab it further into the body of the dragon. Twisting the canisters, Bai Wu smiled before quickly kicking off the body of the dragon.

*BOOOMMMM!!!!

Bones exploded out the corpse of the dragon as it lay dead.

Bai Wu only frowned slightly when she realised she couldn't escape all the blood falling as it drenched her from head to toe.

"Tsk. Dirty." She muttered giving what was the remains of the head a kick.

"What was that?!" Miko asked surprised at how the corpse exploded.

"The weakness was its internal body and underbelly. The counter was the horns as it fended off anyone coming close. I made a portal to destroy the underbelly with the horns before I exploited the opening by inserting canisters of compressed wind. The bones are more delicate when hit from the side, so a close impact of extremely compressed wind forced the bones outwards killing it from the inside out." Bai Wu explained with a smile.

"...."

"That should be the last family out here." Vex muttered as he lost count of how many people he had to evacuate.

"Yo." Lucifer said as Vex turned around.

"Oh it's you." Vex replied uninterested.

"Tsk, it's not like I want to be here anyways you little shit. But right now the situation doesn't really give us any choices." Lucifer said burning a beast who wanted to come near him.

"So are you just here to help me kill these beasts?" Vex asked as he continued to cut the beasts apart.

"Yes and no. Rather we should kill a True God Emperor Ranked beast. Or at least try to make it easier for the next step in Rei's plan." Lucifer said as Vex frowned.

"It's impossible for me right now. My staff mainly focuses on blunt power. Even with its other forms, they're too weak to even damage the beast." Vex shook his head. His main task was to save people before killing.

"Can't you like crawl up its ass and expand your staff or something?" Lucifer grinned.

"Fuck off, why don't you crawl up its ass and burn it from the inside out huh? What don't want to? Whatever it takes man, whatever it takes." Vex gave Lucifer the middle finger.

"Tch as if I, the devil himself, will go crawl up someone's ass." Lucifer said taking his anger out on the nearby beasts.

"In that case, help me rescue as many people as you can." Vex said as Lucifer nodded.

"We'll do one more sweep of this area before we head to other sites." Vex suggested as they started to search for any survivors.

Rei stood atop the tallest spire as he looked at the situation.

"Hmm... 30 True God Emperor Beasts left. I've killed 12, Eve killed 6, Bai Wu killed 2. That should be fine for now." Rei muttered.

"God Suppression Realm" Rei called out the name of the skill seeing as though everything was prepared.

*DONG~

A bell toll rang out as several portals spanning over a large portion of the city appeared.

*CLING CLING CLING CLING CLING

The sound of metal was heard as golden chains dropped down in the billions wrapping around every Forsaken Beast before pulling them into the portal.

"Gods! The beasts have been transported into a realm which suppresses them. Take this chance to end it all!!" Rei shouted out as sweat was dripping from his head.

Moving his hand, Rei created more portals as Gods flew into them.

"Shojun! Realm of the God Emperor!" Rei called out once more as his army appeared behind him.

"Wipe out the beasts in the city. Rescue the residents." Rei commanded simply before he too stepped through the portal.

His vision cleared as he could see almost every god flying in the sky. Right now, the beasts were being chained down but a few of them was already breaking free.

Rei's face was slightly pale from all of his energy usage within a short amount of time.

Eve and Bai Wu quickly flew besides him as they helped him stabilise himself.

"Thanks." Rei smiled as they nodded.

Turning to Ophelia and Miko, Rei smiled before saying.

"You know what to do."

Closing his eyes, Rei sat in a meditative position as he needed to regain energy as soon as possible.
