The Devil's little Villainess Chapter 10: Fencing

After Jasper's sister went, both Evelyn and Jasper started their warm up exercises.

"We are not rushing anywhere right?" Evelyn panted. They are continuously running on the treadmill since half an hour and it is operating on its full speed.

Jasper froze. He once heard this words from particularly specific person whom he is missing to his heart…..she once complained using same words when he forced her to exercise a lot.

She use to love modelling and acting…..and for that she should have a toned body but she was very lazy back then...just like Evelyn.

But like usual, he regained his composure and gave her a look. "If you should be deemed as a potential council leader you should be fit enough. This is nothing when compared to what we do" Jasper smirked.

"I am already fit" Evelyn pouted and complained. Her dimples made her look cute that Jasper chuckled. She made him remember his little niece and also his Linda.

"I am done" Evelyn panted and punched the treadmill off.

"You are already fit? How about we test it?" Jasper challenged her.

Evelyn chuckled. "Sure."

"Fencing?" she suggested.

Jasper nodded his head and the gym staff quickly made the arrangements.

After two hours…

"You are good" Jasper said as he looked at her. They are currently driving to the council's main base.

As he don't want anyone except the council people he always drive by himself.

"But not as good as you" Evelyn pouted.

Jasper laughed and shook his head which made Evelyn smile.

"No one are as good as me. But relatively you are good compared to others" Jasper flaunted.

Evelyn rolled her eyes. So, Mr. Cold even knows how to flaunt!!

"My uncle taught me when I am young. Later on, I joined the fencing club to enhance my skills" Evelyn said.

They are having a simple, casual talk just like normal people do and Jasper is not as cold as her uncle depicted him. He is just isolating himself from rest of the world.

But whatever she analyzed till now, she is damn sure that he will be 'himself' if he is with his loved ones.

She just witnessed how close and incredibly cute with his sister.

She totally liked that Jasper….who is cute and childish.

"Evelyn?" Jasper called her.

"I asked you something" He said as he averted his eyes from the road and looked at her only to see her shocking face.

"Why are you shocked?" he asked again.

Meanwhile, Jasper is totally in shock too. He never spoke with any person this freely.

Except for his family no one saw him this talkative and opened up.

What amazed him most is the feelings he is going through now. With Evelyn….he felt very close and comfortable. He didn't know why but she gave him a familiar vibe nor he understood why he is opening up to her.

"I am shocked because this is the first time you are calling me by my name. And….about the previous question…I didn't hear you…Uhmm….I was actually distracted" Evelyn smiled apologetically.

Even she didn't understand why her feelings seems so natural and bottom from her heart. When she is with Austin, she is always very cautious and mechanical. But with Jasper it felt different.

"I asked you about your fencing club. Can I know the name of it?" Jasper seems little nervous as he asked about it.

"Late-night fencing club. Why?" Evelyn asked.

"Late night?"

"Ahh….I actually use to sneak out at night's everyday to attend that club. It is for someone who don't want other's to find out about their fencing career. We actually have many celebrities, models, business tycoons attending it" Evelyn excitedly talked about it.

"I heard about it. It is actually called as Vince club right?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah" Evelyn is shocked as she nodded her head.

Jasper sighed. His Linda loves fencing and she use to talk about joining into some of the famous clubs. But they were still in their college days back then and it just remained as a dream for her.

So, when Evelyn said that she is in a fencing club his hopes started to blossom again. As Evelyn is very skilled player she surely must have been a club member of top most fencing clubs.

What if his Linda is also a member of it?

"Why did you ask? Is something wrong?" Evelyn asked.

Though her face is masked in concern, she is actually trying to figure out the reason for his nervousness. This might be helpful to her Austin.

Does he have any close connection with fencing or any of the club?

"I just asked. Anyway, we are here." Jasper said and Evelyn looked at the tall buildings in front of her.

She couldn't help but feel awestruck by that, council is very modern and advanced. She started wondering if they will see through her false façade.

Meanwhile, the car got scanned by the automatic sensor and it approved their access into the compound.

The guards cladded in black are standing on either sides of the road as they respectfully opened the door after they parked the car.

"My assistant will take you to your team. And we will have a meeting in one hour, you should attend it. Meeting will continue for three to four hours and after that you can go back or stay here to get familiarized with your team" saying so Jasper alighted the car and walked away.

Jasper's assistant is not at all shocked by this cold treatment. He politely smiled and received the girl who is also not at all dazed by his sir's cold approach.

By now, Evelyn understood how Jasper is…

He will be friendly and normal but once he remember about something or someone his mood will totally take one eighty degrees turn and he will start acting all gloomy and cold.

For now, her main task is to find out the reason for it.

But why is she feeling guilty and sad to backstab him?
