"The video that has been released is not enough proof against Lu Yifeng since his face and yours were hidden in the dark, that's why your statement is important." Detective Chang said.

Unless they had solid proof, the police wouldn't be able to hold Lu Yifeng for long. They can only hold him for five days before they release him if they didn't find enough evidence against him.

"The people in the video are not me and my husband." Xia Meilin said calmly. "My husband is innocent, he is not a rapist."

"How about the pictures?"

"Detective Chang, I'm pretty sure anyone can swap the faces in the photos." She took out her phone and went to a website. "I asked my friend to help me obtain the original photos and those came from this porn site."

Detective Chang sighed, "I will let my friend look into this site. Anyway, Ms. Kang Lin has testified against Lu Yifeng, we cannot ignore that."

"Then please carefully look into it. My husband has been on top for so long, there are people who would always work in the dark to try to bring him down." In other words, Xia Meilin was telling him that Kang Lin might be trying to defame her husband.

"As Lu Yifeng's wife, I can't just sit around and do nothing while my husband is being tarnished by others. I would really appreciate it if you can catch the real culprit behind this."

"I'm surprised to see you so dedicated towards your husband despite him cheating on you."

Xia Meilin smiled. "He never cheated on me, Detective Chang. My husband has been with me all the time."

He blinked a few times with what she said. Detective Chang was confused for a short while before he came into realization, "Don't tell me... the man that was with Ms. Kang Lin all this time was his brother?"

"I am really willing to cooperate with you but I have my own plans... if you're willing to help me, then I will fill you up with all the information I know."

Inside another interrogation room, Lu Yifeng was sitting patiently there with his eyes closed. He was alone in a quiet room.

He only opened his eyes when he heard the door open.

"Darling!"

Xia Meilin quickly went to his side and hugged him. "I'm so sorry if I made you wait..."

Lu Yifeng's eyes softened when he saw her. Although he was already expecting her arrival, he couldn't help but feel happy that she arrived safely in the country. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead softly. "Welcome back."

Detective Chang and his companion were looking at them from the door and seeing the genuine expressions on their faces, they were sure that the rumor that was spreading around wasn't real.

"Let's go home." Xia Meilin said softly as she touched his cheek.

Lu Yifeng stood up and held her hand. "Okay."

When Lu Yifeng and Xia Meilin went out of the police station, the reporters and the people who were carrying the posters earlier quickly approached them but a couple of police was able to block them from coming close to the couple.

"Why are you letting him go?!"

"He's a criminal!"

There were some people who were throwing eggs toward Lu Yifeng and because of this, Xia Meilin couldn't control her anger.

Before she can open her mouth, she saw Lu Yifeng shake his head.

She gritted her teeth in anger and clenched her fists tight. How can she stay calm when the people around them were insulting him?

After Lu Yifeng and Xia Meilin entered the car, Detective Chang turned to face the reporters. "Because of the lack of evidence, Lu Yifeng is free to go. Ms. Xia has stated that the accusation against him is false so we will do a further investigation in this matter."

After he said that, he went back into the building.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin was wiping Lu Yifeng's clothes with some tissues to clean off the eggs from him. "Tch, just remove your shirt." She turned to Su Lei who was driving the car. "Mr. Su, can please pass by a department store and buy a new shirt for my husband?"

"Yes, ma'am."

Su Lei was actually impressed by Xia Meilin on how she handled the reporters when he picked her up in the airport earlier. What she said made a point and he was sure that people will start to search for the truth soon.

"Shu Yang, what's my schedule for this week aside from the Press Conference?"

"You have a photo shoot with Mr. Xiong tomorrow and you will be shooting the last scene for his music video with him on the following day."

Xia Meilin sighed. Her schedule for this week was full and because of that, she knew that she wouldn't be able to spend much time with Lu Yifeng during day time.

She turned to her husband and pouted. "You're lucky that I've got your back. You should give me a reward once all of this is done, okay? I want to be on top for a month."

Knowing what she was talking about, one side of Lu Yifeng's lips curled up. "Week."

"Three weeks." Xia Meilin crossed her arms as she narrowed her eyes.

As much as Lu Yifeng wanted to let out a small laugh, he looked at her with seriousness in his eyes. "Two weeks. Take it or leave it."

Her soft lips stretched into a straight line as she continued on glaring at him.

Shu Yang and Su Lei were listening to them the whole time and yet, they couldn't understand what the two were talking about.

A trace of helplessness flickered in her eyes. "That's not fair, I've always been in the bottom! I should be on top for a month! It's not like we're always going to do it..."

The sound of spurt was suddenly heard and it was followed by continuous coughing coming from Shu Yang who was sitting on the passenger seat.

Xia Meilin turned to look at her manager, "What's wrong?"

"N-nothing, nothing! The water just entered the wrong hole..."

"Oh." Xia Meilin turned back to Lu Yifeng and sighed. "Take off your shirt, the egg stinks."
