Morning.

Slowly and reluctantly, I uncover my face. I blinked, closed my eyes, and blinked again.

Streaks of sunlight penetrate the window and blinded me a little. I sit up and dragged my feet from the bed.

While I'm rubbing my knuckles onto my eyes, the inn staff approached and knocked on my door.

Thanks to the grimoires that I received yesterday, my "Navigator" became much more specific so identifying someone within the range of 3 km is easy.

「Arthur-san, your breakfast is ready..」

I opened the door to let the inn staff come in, it was the one whom I accidentally groped for the first time I was here.

Her appearance is not bad, aside from her authentic red hair that is usually not seen from my previous world, her charming face and curvy figure is almost at the level of Cielsa who caught my eye with her appealing figure, I don't really have any affections for her though.

When Jack finally saw Arthur, he was waving his hand while walking towards Arthur.

We went back towards the guild and looked at the quest board.

Jack was scratching his head pondering what quest we should take.

「All the quests here are really difficult, maybe we should just come back another time?」

All the quests left are Diamond, Sapphire, and Ruby. I don't have any difficulty with Ruby but I don't know about the other two.

I should rank-up first before doing the higher quests, right now I'm a Gold Rank, I don't anyone labeling me as a monster who cleared difficult quests despite being a Gold Rank.

I began looking for a quests that I want and found one.

Location: To the south approximately 32 km from the kingdom.

Quest Details: A self-proclaimed demon lord has marked his territory to the south and gathered thousands of demons and is now trapped in a tower that he built. It has 100 floors, as you go up the difficulty rises. I suggest that you form atleast Ruby rank adventurers to go, best of luck. Don't die.

「This, we're taking this.」

I took the quest and showed it to Jack.

「Whaaat!? arthur-san t-this is suicide, I don't e-even have any w-weapons to fight with.」

What the hell? You invite me to a quest without a weapon?

「Fine, let's get you some equipments.」

「Hoo? Really?! Wait, do you even have any money? 」

We went to a renowned blacksmith, atleast that's what Jack said.

「Oho, welcome dear customers, do you need top-quality weapons?」

「Ah, just get something for this guy」Arthur points his finger to Jack who's looking around the shop like an idiot. 「I'm paying.」

「Hmm...how about this?」The blacksmith took out a unique dagger 「You're an assassin right? This suits you.」

「Hooo.. Really good eyes blacksmith-san, yes I'm an assassin... May I take a look」Jack grabbed the dagger and gave it a few swings. 「I like it.」

「Mm, How much?」I asked the blacksmith

「15 Gold Coins」

That's more than half of what I have. Sighh..

We left the blacksmith and continued going to the south.

「I owe you Arthur-san」said Jack while holding his dagger proudly.

「Its fine..」

I never went to the south part of the kingdom since I am always at the north.

As we walk, the atmosphere never changed. All the families of the people who went to war are obviously worried since they don't know if they'll come back alive.

After half an hour we finally arrived at the south gate of the kingdom, the guards were stricter than before, they searched their bodies before letting them leave.

「Arthur-san, are we going to walk?」

「If you can fly let's do that instead of walking.」

「You gotta be joking Arthur-san, if you can fly then I'll follow you for the rest of my life. Unless you're the Great Wizard, it's impossible.」said Jack while shrugging.
