The Defeated Dragon Chapter 230

Chapter 230 – Bob's Negligence

The establishment of the bathhouse raised the prestige of the lord to a higher level.   In the snowy winter, being soaked in hot water and steam is absolutely top notch.

“The two bathhouses and the others used only half a jar of Dragon magic, It doesn't consume much.”

Liszt drilled all the volcanic glass to reach the air bubbles. He then released and collected all the fire dragon magic. A total of thirteen fire dragon jars were filled, all in all.

The two bathhouses, coupled with the castle's bathtub spa, and the fire dragon air-conditioning in the bedrooms and study consumed half a jar of dragon magic.

The remaining magic jars were enough to build a brick factory, a ceramics factory and even a steam turbine boat – it, of course, would take one step at a time. It would seem like Liszt was getting bored everyday, but in fact he was very busy. He has been wanting to build the brick factory for months now but they haven't started.

After all, it was impossible for the lord to sifter the soil and burn the bricks by himself. It was still up to the officials to lead the serfs to start working.

“Complete the task and be rewarded with the new flame mushroom.”

After the bathhouse was built and opened, the smoke task was completed and rewards were issued. The tasks were then updated.

“Task: After a tiring year, even the Lord needs to relax, enjoy the coming New Year's Day, ponder the path for next year's development, broaden interpersonal contacts, or do nothing, and just wait for the end of the new year. Reward: Unknown reward. “

He saw the latest task.

Liszt didn't know what to say. This wasn't like a task at all. The requirements of the task were for him to relax. Nothing needed to be done.

“Does the Smoke Mission feel that I have tired myself too much this year?”

Thinking about it, Liszt felt a bit ashamed. He did have an important contribution to make the town better. However, when it comes to effort, he was probably the most relaxed of all the traversers. He was enjoying it 60% of the time, and the rest was spent on sleeping.

At least 20% of that time was spent eating and drinking – almost every day, with dinners and lunches.

“People take food as their priority, but they don't have much to eat and drink.”

“I was eating and eating everyday since an elite earth knight needs his strength." He quickly found solace in his eating and drinking habit. "And in less than a year, with the magic potions, I have gone so far from being an apprentice knight. My progress is enough to prove the importance of eating and drinking.”

Eating and drinking isn't causing others depravity and corruption.

It's part of a knight's fight.

When he was not eating or drinking, his time fell on qi cultivation. He gets up early in the morning and starts practicing. He then returns to the castle and starts taking magic potions.

It was not exactly hard work, but it takes hard work to be diligent.

One doesn't exactly reap a lot by doing 24 hours a day of work.  “After all, potions are still a knight's secret.”

This principle was imparted by the Count to his children.

Liszt took it as a guide.

He turned his head and ran to the other side of the apple tree, and asked, " How many sacks of egg rolls have you eaten? When I'm thinking, would you please go a little further and don't make a sound? It interrupts my thinking, okay, Paris?”

“Ummm.” Paris stuffed the egg rolls in her mouth, turned her head silently and walked away.

The egg roll she was eating was made by mixing flour, egg, and white sugar into a batter. It would then be smeared with butter and rolled into a tube.

This was not Liszt's idea but a new food independently invented by the bakery owner Rainier. It was a sort of snack, which has just come on the market.

It was complicated to do, does not come cheap, and does not sell well either.

To encourage new inventions, Liszt told the castle staff to buy a batch of egg rolls every day. Although this snack was good to eat once in a while, it feels greasy later on.

So the egg rolls were either for the servant's welfare or for his subordinates at a dinner party. Liszt himself didn't eat much.

Paris, however, liked the egg rolls. One third of the egg rolls that were bought went into her belly. She's only been in the castle for 10 days and there were already signs of weight gain.

"I hope she doesn't get too fat, it would affect the visual experience."

He leaned back against his chair, enjoying the rare outcropping sun.

Paris is a beautiful landscape, now the castle's maid, Lily, has her own characteristics. One is an energetic female warrior, the other is a shy and weak maid. But one thing they have in common is that both have a slender waist and long legs, which was the body type that Liszt liked.

But it's just for appreciation.

“Wooow!”

“Woow!”

Not far away,Ella, the thorn sprite was teasing the mid-level magical beast Tremblingwoods . This was a bad habit that Liszt has repeatedly taught Ella to stop. But over time, Liszt was too lazy to control the sprite, and Tremblingwoods has also succumbed to his fate.

Slap.

The snow on the apple tree fell on the apple table.

Liszt stood up immediately. “Thomas, prepare a horse, inform the knights that I am going to the mushrooms."

 “Yes, sir.”

He walked on Thorns Ride, and said to Paris who was still eating egg rolls, “You don't need real combat training today… you can go back. The New Year is approaching. It 's best for you to go to the North Valley to buy suitable leather armor than what you're wearing. People would think that the castle is poor and could not afford its own  guards. ”

Paris wore worn-out leather and didn't mind it. However, the aristocracy pays much attention to one's neatness of clothes.

“This is the hypocrisy of the aristocracy. But the brightness of the clothes cannot hide the stains inside.” She whispered, but did not object to buying new clothes –no woman could resist the charm of new clothes.

Liszt yelled at Ella again, “Go back to sleep, Ella!”

Feeling that Liszt could not be resisted, Ella protested twice with a “Wow” and “Wow”, then flew to the castle obediently. When it felt that it had gone quiet, it quickly ran to Liszt, put out its tongue and shook its tail.

He knew that Liszt would just go out immediately and not bother to turn around.

——

Thomas brought the dragon horses.

The knights also came on horseback.

Liszt turned his horse and gave an order, “Let's go to Mushroom Town.”

Horseshoes trounced the snow as it whistled past. They did not take the road but the shortcut. Moments later, they arrived in Mushroom town. There were fifty acres of separate mushroom shed, and 50 acres of mixed mushrooms and flame mushroom shed. Although the cultivated land for the mushrooms was small, the income was high. Mushrooms are always present at the dinner table.

There was a steady stream of production of flame mushrooms into magic potions to supply Liszt's potion needs.

He attaches great importance to the mushrooms second only to the Garden of Thorns.

At this time, the serfs were busy inspecting their greenhouses. Just yesterday, the Lord came to inspect the circle, and then issued an order for each serf to check for any hidden dangers in the greenhouses and pay attention to various problems that may arise from the cultivation of mushrooms.

 “Did you find any problems?”

When Liszt arrived, he directly asked about the management of mushrooms. He had come to the mixed mushroom and flame mushroom shed yesterday, but did not find the smoke task reward he was looking for.

The steward replied with caution. “My Lord, several of the serf's sheds had pillars that were eaten by insects. We have applied to the Administrative Department for carpentry to replace the pillars for us……Also, a lot of the flame mushrooms in Bob's house had frozen because he forgot to close the door.”
