The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 99 - 99 Father Song Was Jealous

"Darling~!" A whining voice of a grown man sounded on the other end of the phone of Mother Song. He sounded like a pouting child, making her lips to twitch. 

"Where did you go? I was so anxious when I noticed that you were already not here when I woke up? Are you leaving me? I'm gonna die! Without you, my life is meaningless...empty! Please come back! I need you." Father Song said in a cracking voice. He was on the verge of tears. In this case, it was almost like he was the wife that was wronged and got abandoned by his husband. 

Mother Song rolled her eyes as she leaned deeper into her seat and crossed her legs, "Stop that. I just went out for a bit to meet our daughter-in-law." 

"Why so sudden? Not even bothering of telling me beforehand."

"It is not sudden. Since their marriage is already set in a few weeks, I have ti get her ready." Mother Song had the urge of rolling her eyes the second time at her husband's overreaction. As the mother-in-law, she has to help her daughter-in-law with this marriage. As what she had heard from Master He, October lost her mother at a young age and does not have a mother figure to look up to. 

"In a few days huh. Does our daughter-in-law know of this? That their wedding has already been set?" Father Song, now calmed himself down, asked as he comfortably sat in his office. 

"No, that's why I am here to let her know of this. Also, I have to take her out with me for a shopping. I did not bring much clothes with me so I need to buy some." She said and flicked a lock of hair behind her. 

"What? Why do you need clothes?" Father Song frowned as discontent flashed across his darkening eyes. "You are not planning on staying there for days, righ?"

"Yes, that's the plan."

"What--! What about it me?" Father Song asked, feeling absolutely incredulous about it. 

"You are already a grown man so you can take care of yourself." Mother Song calmly and coldly. "I have to go now coz I still have some things to do. See you in a few days, darling."

Father Song looked at his phone with his mouth slightly open and his eyes widened. The call with his wife was cut off by her quite coldly. 

He was trully dumbfounded right now. No matter how much he thought about it, he could not help but feel that his daughter-in-law just snatched the attention of his wife away from him. He was drinking a jar of vinegar at this moment.

In just a mattee of seconds, the whole office of Father Song was engulfed in his dark and heavy atmosphere. He was without a doubt in a really foul mood. 

However, at this moment, Mother Song was oblivious of the terrorizing Father Song she left in City A. She also did not know that he was drinking vinegar because of their own daughter-in-law. If she knew, she would have already snarled at his shallow thinking.

How can he be jealous of his own daughter-in-law? After such a long time, they had finally found that their son had taken a fancy of a decent and well-cultured woman that was now even carrying her son's child. The elders at home will probably be so ecstatic to hear such big news. 

Just thinking about their shocked faces when they will find out about this, Mother Song giggles, feeling very pleased and excited. She just could not wait for a new family member to enter their family. 

"I should ask my daughter-in-law for a few more grandchildren. They're still young so having a few more would not be a problem." Mother Song said to herself as she began to inmersed herself in the thought of playing with her grandchildren. However, it was cut short because of the driver's dry cough that sounded rather loudly.

"Madam, we have arrived." With that, the driver opened the car's door for Mother Song to alight. 

"Mm. Good." Mother Song nodded and accepted the hand as she slowly and steadily stepped out of the car. After stepping out, she looked the residence in front of her and nodded her head satisfactorily. "It looks quite well-maintained."

"Welcome, Madam." The head butler greeted respectfully and behind him also stood numerous maids and butlers who were also bowing their heads respectfully at the madam.

"My, Uncle Khuzong, it's been a while since I last saw you." Mother Song warmly said as she helped the old man to straigten himself. 

"Yes, it has already been years, madam. Please, let us go inside." Butler Khuzong smilingly said as he gestured for Mother Song to get inside. 

"Of course." Mother Song nodded as she confidently stepped into the house she previously stayed at. However, right now, she was not the owner but rather her son and her daughter-in-law. 

The group then entered and the butlers and maids went back to do their assigned chores around the massive mansion. L

All were quiet but not suffocating.

At around three o-clock in the afternoon, Mother Song was leisurely drinking her tea whe looking through some fashion magazines. She could not help herself but to frown at some of the revealing dresses being worn by the models. Although they looked great and all, still she could not stop herself from shaking her head.

Soon, she heard the door click to open. She turned and saw her daughter-in-law walking inside, looking as neat as ever. She was wearing, in Mother Song's point of view, a rather boring and just terribly plain business suit. 

Gosh! Such a waste!  Mother Song frowned as she saw October walking to hear. 

"Mother, sorry for being late." October sincerely apologized. She had already did her best in finishing all of her work for the day, even to the point of moving her scheduled meetings earlier. 

"Oh dear, it really was nothing. You shouldn't have bothered in stressing yourself. It will worn you out." Mother Song said worriedly as she waved her hand for October to sit next to her. She then held her hand and added, "Your health is the most important."

October blankly looked at her hand that was held by Mother Song before slowly nodding her head. "Yes, mother. I will keep that in mind."

"Good." Mother Song smiled warmly and the two was immersed in idle chatter.
