The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 86 - 86 Engagement Ring

"Young master, I have something to tell you." More like a suggestion. Assistant Yu gulped loudly as ge nervously said to his cold-faced boss who was still having a good mood yet gives off a really terrifying smile. No matter how many times he say this creepy smile from his boss that almost resembled the smile of the king of Hell himself, he still could not get used to it.

Thinking about it, he wondered how the Young Madam Song could still keep up and stay calm with that dangerous presence in close proximity without even flinching and still acted like it was nothing at all. Could it be that the young madam is more terrifying than the young master himself? That's not true. Well, he really does not know.

Yes, it could be a possibility. Maybe there is something more than meets the eye. Assistant Yu nodded to himself as his admiration to the young madam grew quite enormously. If he could be on good terms with her, then maybe he won't have much problem in dealing with an angry demon. Hopefully.

"What?" Lexus asked without much interest as he looked at thr graphs on his his laptop. One would think that he was working diligently; but unfortunately, his mind was only filled with thought of October.

"Hhave you already gave the young madam an engagement ring?" Assistant Yu asked as his voice grew softer and softer at the end as he carefully looked at the face of his boss to get any look at his reaction. But the reaction he got was something he did not expect and was not able to prepare himself. He regretted looking at his boss right now.

Assistant Yu felt like he was dipped in a frozen lake and was slowly being dragged down deeper into the the deepest part of the lake and into the dark abyss. However, it did not end there. He shakily swallowed a lump caught in his throat with difficulty as dread filled his hearr to the brim. It was like he saw a viscious beast...monster within that abyss.

"Yo-young m-m-mmas...ter?" He felt like crying and his knees wwre shaking. He could barely find strength to keep himself standing under his boss' dark pressure and it was also threatening that seemed to look like there was a sword pointing danherously on his neck, ready to slice him up at any moment.

"...is that...important?"

Assistant Yi shuddered at the gaze of Lexus, the eyes that were glinting but dead.

"W-well..." Assistant Yu adjusted his tie and felt hesistant about it now that he had seen the look of his boss.

Gah! You and your dump mouth!  Assistant Yu cursed himself under his breath.

"Xi." Lexus calmly called and said in a deep flat tone, "Make your words clear so that I can understand."

This demon-like boss ah! Why is his boss this scary? Assistant Yu seriously regretted saying anything and wanted to beat himself up. But, he has to say this in order for him to keep his head intact with his body.

"Yo-young master, well, that is...as what I know  engagement rings are important to women." Assistant Yi timidly said. Even though his voice was shaking tremendously, his voice was at the very least, loud enough for Lexus to hear clearly. 

Having noticed that his boss did not say anything he continued, "An engagement ring is some sort of symbol, young master. In fact, it shows that the woman is already taken and is not abailable. She was already a commited woman. It shows that Ms Park belongs to you, young master. With that, those secret admirers of Ms Park will stop from having wild dreams of getting her." The more Assistant Yu opened his mouth, the more his voice became enthusiastic. He felt like his young master will finally get what he meant.

Silence.

Silence.

He was answered by a deafening silence.

What is this? Why is his boss not saying anything? What? Did he say anything wrong?

There were no any reaction at all from his boss. No frown, no glinting of the eues, no nothing! His boss' face was just...plain...blank. It was so blank that he looked dumb.

Asssistant Yu immediately shook his head as soon as that thought crossed his mind. For him to think that his young master was bumb. If his young master was bumb, then what was he? He was nothing, right?

Assistant Yu broke and his sould flew out of his body.

"Okay, I understand. Let's go." Lexus got up from his executive chair and walked out of his office.

Assistant Yu blinked his eyes for a few time and his eyes followed the figure of his boss by the door who then paused and said, "What are you dawdling there? Let's go. I'm going to buy my precious wife the most suitable engagement ring for her." 

"Ah...yes, young master." Assistant Yu immediately followed Lexus out of the office but then paused, "Master, you have a meeting with the President of the Gu Empire this morning."

That's right! How can he forget that?

"Hmph! It's just Gu Chen. Just deal with him." Lexus shrugged indifferently. He couldn't care less. What's important was his wife. He has to do everything he can to make his wife happy. He will spoil her so much to the point that she will be reluctant to part with him. Soon, a smile slowly stretched on his cold red lips as if he can already see his wife's face with a blissful smile on her prestine face. 

"But--"

"No buts! Just do it." Lexus snapped befote adding, "If he wants, he can wait for me here in the office or follow me to CM." 

"..." But young master, you can't have a meeting in a jewelry store! Assistant Yu wanted to say that but he bit his tongue to stop him from saying anything. However, Lexus noticed his conflicted face.

"What? If you have something to say, just say it." 

"No, young master." Assistant Yu immediately shook his eyes. "I will then do as you say."

"Good. Either way, that Gu Chen will just do as he pleases and eat a lot of food but will let me shoulder." Lexus clicked his tongue in annoyance as the elevator door opened for they have already arrived on the first floor. 

Assistant Yu sighed and followed obediently behind his boss. He couldn't really say anything for that was the truth. Even if Young Master Gu owns a restaurant he built for fun, he still wanted to eat food outside of his restaurant and would leech on his young master whenever he wanted to. But then again, he was one of the few people that his boss considered as a friend.

"I have already informed Young Master Gu about your plan and he would like to accompany you at CM." Assistant Yi informed Lexus while holding his tab.

"Mm." Lexus nodded his head nonchalantly as slid himself inside his car.

Assistant Yu also climbed into the passenger seat and the driver instantly drove off toward their destination: CM, the world renowned jewelry store that caters all kinds of people and provides jewelries of highest quality at a reasonable price.
