The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 66 - 66 Misunderstanding

Lexus' jaw tightened as his fists clenched till it turned white. This old man was the one who was slowly buying his stocks on the market? And now he just announced that he will now buy all of the stocks? This was really absurd. How can this old man be this unreasonable? What's more, he said it in his face. This was a clear declaration of war.

"Master He, even if you are my elder, I won't be able to hold myself in retaliating if you continue to be this unreasonable. I will definitely do everything I can, even if I have to ask for my family's help, to clear my name." Lexus' eyes were dark and unfathomable. 

"Are you threatening me?" He Tian's hawk-like gaze landed on Lexus' handsome face and scuffed. In He Tian's eyes, Lexus was just a child throwing a tantrum. He does not see Lexus as someone who can threaten him at all.

"You threatening me, boy? Ha! Don't fool yourself! You don't pose any threat to me, even if you'll use your family's full power." He Tian's chest moved up and down so fast as his breathing shortened due to his anger.

That last bit was not true. If the Song family really use their full power, then his He family would really lose a big chunk of it's flesh. However, right now, he does not care. All he can think about is venting his anger for his poor granddaughter. 

Lexus' lip twitched as his face turned darker and darker. Was this old man deliberately trying to anger him? If so, then it really was starting to affect him.

The atmosphere in the room was so cold and heavy that it was so suffocating. All the other men in the room remained silent and tried to lessen their presence. They also made sure to not breath loudly.

Both men were on a standstill. They were glaring at each other without batting their eyes for they believe that if they did, that would mean that they lose. Both were trying to outdone the other. Their eyes clashing at each other, fighting silently. No one was backing down. And they don't plan to lose. Because their minds were only filled with anger and hatred for each other, they were not able to think clearly even if their minds were only filled with the same person.

Assistant Yu and Assistant Ke looked at their masters and then turned to look at each other. Immediately, the two understood each other's pain. To have such troublesome masters, their luck were just that 'good.' Both pitied each other. They were really that helpless and could only sigh in bitterness. 

Assistant Ke, seeing that Lexus and his master were still at it and it doesn't seem like it will end any minute now, stepped in. As he was an assistant for a longer time than Assistant Yu, he was more adept in this kinds of situation and was the one who first to step in.

"Master, I think this situation is a bit odd." Assistant Ke leaned down to whisper in his master's ear. He then eyed Lexus who was still wearing a dark look on his face. 

"Odd? Hmph! More like bad luck! It will be my granddaughter's bad luck if she will be with this man. My granddaughter will be bullied by him." He Tian hissed in anger while still keeping his eyes on Lexus. 

At the same time, Assistant Ke received a call from  that  person. Walking into a corner, he answered it and kept his voice down. And then his whole body suddenly stiffened and his blood turned cold. He ended the call and turned to look at Master He and then to Lexus with alarm in his eyes. 

His hands turned cold. This was the most unexpected result in which he had never anticipated. Seriously, who would have thought that she has such background.

Assistant Yu, with cold sweat forming on his body, shakily went to his master to tell him about this big news. However, before he could get near him, his young master opened his mouth.

"Grandfather." Lexus called as his eyes became calm but still remained cold.

When they were staring and sizing up each other in silence, Lexus felt that He Tian felt really familiar to him. And then, he stared at his old face longer and, all of a sudden, a flash of image overlapped his old face.

He Tian's eyes flashed with hatred as he looked at Lexus. Being suddenly called "grandfather" by Lexus fueled his anger even more. His lips twitched and his grip on his cane tightened.

Judging from the old man's reaction, he felt more certain of his suspicion.  I knew that my wife is not simple but I really didn't expect that it will be this. However, why keep it hidden? 

As the misunderstanding already been cleared, Lexus knew where he had gone wrong. Also, basing on how angry this old man was for his granddaughter, he can already tell that he greatly cared for her. With this, he felt at ease to know that she has a family who greatly loved her.

Lexus stood up and bowed his head respectfully toward He Tian as he apologized. "Grandfather, it was my fault that I was not able to immediately recognize you. I sincerely apologize."

He Tian coldly snorted as he looked at Lexus. "Hmph! I don't remember having you as my grandson!"

Lexus straightened himself and pursed his lips, "Grandfather, your granddaughter and I have already registered our marriage and so I am already your grandson-in-law."

"I don't acknowledge you. You have denied your relationship with my granddaughter before and now you claimed that you're already married? Are you taking me for a fool?" He Tian roared. No matter how he looked at Lexus, even if he is an excellent specimen of a man and must have a good upbringing, he still can't swallow the fact that Lexus snatched his precious granddaughter away from him.

"I didn't know that you were talking about her. Even if I denied, I did that with her in mind." Lexus knew that He Tian was being unreasonable.  This old man, trying to make things hard for me.

"Grandfather, I know you don't like it but..." A smirk slowly crept on Lexus' face making his handsome face even more devilishly dazzling, clearly trying to provoke He Tian. "...Lan'er chose me and I chose her. Also, we already are expecting our first child." 

He Tian's lips twitched in annoyance. No matter how angry he was and no matter how opposed he was, what Lexus was saying were true and he can't do anything about it but to swallow his anger, making him almost vomit some blood.
