Song Wei was still skeptical as to why the head of the He family would personally make a visit in his home. He doesn't have any business dealings with him before. It was not because he does not want to but rather the opportunity did not come.

"Mm. Apologies for this abrupt visit." Master He said with his chin slightly raised, exuding the arrogance and pride he has.

Song Wei's business smile surfaced. The woman, on the other hand, gave the old man a cold gaze but still did not open her mouth to say anything.

"It seems like you really have something you wanted to say to us. Well then, please come in." Song Wei gestured for Master He to follow him inside. Despite being in the presence of this formidable person who was one of the legends in the business world, as the head of the Song family, Song Wei didn't cower at all. He was standing confidently releasing a heavy air and looked domineering.

With that, the heads of the Song and He families sat together in the tea room in deep silence. Master He leisurely drank his tea while the Song couple sat on the opposite side with teacups on their hands while looking curiosly at the old man before them.

Master He nodded his head in appreciation at the tea that was served. After that, he looked at the couple with scrutinizing gaze.

The couple before him just looked straight at him without flinching from his gaze. He couldn't help but really admire them. However, that was not he was here.

Squinting his eyes, he coldly said, " I hear you have a second son. Is he not here?"

The Song couple looked at each other for a moment before Song Wei nodded his head, "That's right. He is currently not here because of some business he has to attend to."

Master He nodded his head before taking another sip. "What kind of business is he into?"

Song Wei looked at the man before him in deep thought. He wondered where they are heading to. Even having to talk about his son was really unexpected. Did his son somehow caught the eyes of this man? But his son is at City D and they are in City A right now. "Clothing."

"Mm." Master He nodded his head with eyes dark like a pool of deep abyss, deep and unfathomable. He then finished his tea before putting the now empty cup on the table.

Old man He gave the Song couple another deep look before standing up, ready to leave. He then received his hat from Assistant Ke and paused, "Your son really have good eyes for people; however, I will not be lenient with him." Especially so that he laid his darn hands on his granddaughter without his permission. This was unforgivable.

"Well then, have a good day." Master He left quickly like a gust of wind. He came to look at the parents of that brat. He knew that the Song family is big and as mysterious as his own. Also, they don't seem to know what their 'capable' son was doing. Just thinking about it made his veins pop and his eyes sharpened with flames of fury.

Jane looked coldly at the old man who was walking briskly out of their mansion and her eyes narrowed. As she pondered over his sudden visit, she felt her husband's hands resting on her waist as he said in a voice full of helplessness, "Our son really can create a lot of troubles. And now, he even made that Master He come out of his house to give us this sudden visit. I really don't what that unfilial son is doing."

Song Wei really have no idea what his son was doing. Since it was their family's tradition of sending the heir to another city to make a name for himself for the next 3 years, he don't have much time to talk with his son. Also, knowing Lexus, he doesn't like to be monitored with what he was doing and so made them stop communicating with him unless it was really necessary.

He was really such a stubborn kid who does things his own way, even disregarding his parent's feelings.

"Hmph! As if you are not the same back then." Jane rolled her eyes at her husband's words. Her son really took most of her father's stubbornness.

"I wonder if our son made any progress with the woman he had taken fancy to?" Song Wei absentmindedly asked.

Jane looked at her husband but didn't say anything. Instead, she walked inside and continue working.

At the Red Plum Mansion, the kitchen was bustling with activity.

October was busy arranging the vegetables while she instructed Lexus to continue unpacking their bags. Seeing that the ingredients she needed were all set, she turned to Lexus and asked, "Where is your apron?"

Lexus swiftly turned to open a cabinet and got a black apron from it and handed it to October who received it graciously. After thanking him, she put it on and tied her hair into a messy bun.

October was fast. She was skillfully peeling, cutting, and mixing all the ingredients without wasting any extra movements. Lexus could tell how she was really used to cooking. With that, he was even more excited at the dish his wife was preparing to cook for them. Also, seeing her confident back and serious look, she looked radiant and dazzling.

"Anything I can help." Lexus grinned as he offered.

October paused and looked at Lexus for a good few seconds before shaking her head, "No, you'll just be a nuisance." Even right now, she was always distracted at the burning looks she was getting from Lexus. She felt tensed for this would be the first time that she'll cook something for someone else and was even cooking it in front of him.

After a moment of moving about, she paused to turn at the smiling Lexus who was sitting by the counter. There was a faint blush on her cheek as she said, "I can only cook something simple so I'm not sure if you'll like it."

She then turned her attention back on cooking and did not dare look back. While in the midst of mixing the soup, suddenly she was engulfed by his presence and his arms wrapped around her waist.

Lexus can't control himself anymore as he saw the dainty woman with a fragile body looking so focused when cooking. He can't help but be attracted to her.

She's the Assistant Director of Halo Company, right? She was able to reach her position not because of riding the prestige of her family background but rather used her own effort and skills to pave her own way to the top.

Lexus' smile widened when he noticed his wife's body stiffening. Did he surprise her?

His eyes contained mischief yet have a gentle light. With a chuckle that reverberated at the back of October, she felt her heart almost going wild.

"Anything I can help, wifey?" Lexus asked again but this time, he lowered his head and kissed her bare neck. He then immediately felt her shiver and a flash passed by his ocean eyes.

"Ah." October let out a weird noise making her be flustered again. Her breathing hitched as she patted his arms and said pleadingly, "Let go, please. I am still cooking."

"No." Lexus dropped another kiss, making her almost drop the ladle on her hand.

October pursed her lips as she can feel that his arms flexed and tightened around her waist. "Please...hubby, let go. I'm still cooking."

Hearing her sweet voice tickling his ears, Lexus paused for a moment before his grin was so wide that his eyes turned to crescents. Her pleading tone filled with unease yet still so lovable was really making his heart full to the brim, especially when he heard her calling him 'hubby'.

Finally, he let go and leaned on the counter as he continued to stare at her. October heaved a sigh of relief. The places where his lips touch still burns and a shiver run down her bsck again.

Shaking her head, she rearranged herself before focusing back on the food she was cooking.
