And now, after 5 whole years of being silent, of keeping her distance away from them, they just had to keep on pushing her to the edge of a knife, even forgetting that she was his own flesh and blood.

Clenching her hands to fists till her knuckles turn white and her nails digging into her palms, she swore that she won't let them get away with it even if the heavens will punish her for being vicious. If this was going to happen, 2 can play this dirty game and she will charge at them without any mercy.

Yes, she was grateful for the father who raised her for 2 decades, no matter if he did not even take good care of her and had treated her like air for most of those years. The fact still stands that he did that. However, that ends there. She will take back what was rightfully hers and will take anything those people hold dear.

Touching her flat belly, she silently said, "Don't think that I am being so vicious, my baby. I have to do this for this is the only way I can stop them from ruining my life even further."

Thinking about it, what could have happened to that man who Lexus took? No matter, she shrugged it off and tiredly stood up from the couch when she suddenly heard a thud on the floor. She looked down to find its source to only see a small red booklet.

It was then that she remembered the most bizarre thing that happened in her whole life.

Crouching on the floor, she took it in her two hands and a soft light flashed through her usually blank eyes. A small smile slowly formed on her pink lips, so bright and beautiful.

That's right, how can she forget? She is already married now. And she was married to the man who keeps on making her feel so restless and uncomfortable but doesn't hate it at all. A man who was looking at her as if the rest of the world doesn't matter to him. The man who keeps on making her heart race and her emotions that she never thought she had explode.

Carefully holding onto it, she happily went into her room to shower and change. She thought of how a lot of things happened today and will happen tomorrow. However, right now, all she wanted to do was to sleep, with her marriage certificate placed securely in her drawer, with a silent smile on her lips.

Meanwhile, in a quiet room of the Park residence, Peizhi paced back and forth restlessly with cold sweat trickling down his back.

"Darling." Fu Yung sweetly called as she shuffled to stand next to Peizhi as she clung herself onto his arms. Looking up while using her sparkling eyes that seemed like to shine like a jewel, she comforted her husband, "We'll get through this. It's just a single Lanna. You've gotten rid of her before, you can get rid of her again."

Making her way toward it, Fu Yung nonchalantly grabbed it and her heart almost dropped to her stomach and her look darkened. Pursing her lips tightly and her hands holding the magazine tightened as if to crumple it up. Her eyes stared intently at the picture of a man sitting on a throne-like chair with cold eyes filled with malice and a confident smile on his perfectly shaped handsome face. Her body started to shake, either due to fear, anger, or jealousy.

She can't believe this! She can't think of how October was able to land on this man. She can't accept this! She bit her nail as her mind started to contemplate on things.

Peizhi grunted as his worry intensified. Sighing, he turned around and went inside their room only to find his wife intently looking at a picture on the magazine while biting her nails.

Curious, he went up to her and circled his arms around her waist as he glanced at the magazine. However, this single glance made him froze in place as soon as he saw and recognize the man on the picture. Snatching the magazine in a speed as fast as lightning from his wife's hands, he intensely looked at the man on the picture. His blood run cold.

His back was already so drenched from his cold sweat. He sucked a sharp and shaky breath as he couldn't believe it while muttering, "How can my daughter be associated with this man?"
