October sees the world in black and white. She was also almost numb and the nerves on her face might have already died or got cut off as it never made any movements on her stiff blank face.

Just as this time, she looked blankly at the person she used to call her father with a dead look on her green eyes. Seeing him up close was enough for October to see the wrinkles that was starting for form on her father's face. He was getting old.

"Lanna." Peizhi called with cold eyes looking down on his eldest daughter who was looking at his with no emotions shown on her tranquil eyes.

"Please don't call that. I'd rather be called October." That name for her was already dead. She doesn't want to be called that. Even her emoloyees does not know her full name because just being called that makes her remember how she was before. It was a constant reminder of her past mistakes.

Peizhi pursed his lips as his brows furrowed in slight anger. This girl, she still have this indifference when she is standing in front of her father. Yes, he may be the one who disowned her and threw her out of his house, but it does not change the fact that he was still her biological father. She was already in his presence, yet she still hadn't greeted him.

Fu Yung smirked internally as she looked at October receiving unfavorable treatment from her father. Such a scene was really priceless. She had not felt this in a while, this sense of victory she had. The first one was when Peizhi chose her instead of his daughter. Such a feeling was feeling her heart to the brim with great satisfaction.

"Now now, darling. Today's our son's birthday." Saying this, Fu Yung gently grabbed her son and let him stood in front of October. The little boy looked up with his eyes clear and clean and gave October a toothy smile.

"Lady, you're so pretty." Longwei said with an innocent smile gracing his chubby face.

October looked down to let her have a better look at her brother. Still, her expression was still blank as always. The little boy's face have some resemblance of her father. No doubt that he is his son, her brother.

"Longwei, this pretty lady here is your sister. Greet your elder sister." Fu Yung smilingly said as she gave her son a pat on his head.

Looking up toward her mother, his eyes danced with delight and excitement. "Really? Is that true, mother?"

"Yes, it's true." Fu Yung nodded her head and swiftly clung her arms around one of October's arm.

Instantly, October's sense of smell got assaulted by Fu Yung's strong perfume making her head pound in pain even more. She was already very uncomfortable when they "accidentally" bumped into each other. And now, she was already at the point where her patience will run out completely.

Noticing the almost unnoticeable stiffness on October made Fu Yung smirk. She must keep her here. The show's still starting and the main lead shouldn't miss it.

October clenched her hand into fist as she felt her head ached even more.

"Sister, it's my birthday today." Longwei said with his childish voice that seemed like bells in their ears and clung onto October. Unfortunately, October was again assaulted by a strong scent from Longwei's perfume.

October's eyed darkened for a moment. Her whole self trembled as she grittee her teeth. If this goes on, she might probably throw up for she was already starting to get nauseous again.

"My, long time no see." I man suddenly spoke and looked at October with his leacherous gaze.

October looked at the man standing on the side with a blank look on her face. Who was he talking to? And that gaze he is giving her made all hairs on her body to stand. It was really making her feel uncomfortable.

"I can't believe that you just left me alone after what happened to us that night." He said while letting out a low chuckle as he walked closer to where October was. He looked at the exquisite face of October and can't help but to lick his lip.

It was not known when it happened for October did not notice when Fu Yung and Longwei walked away from her and was now already standing beside Peizhi.

Whispers were immediately heared as the madams and young misses started to talk in hushed voices as their gazes turned to October and the man. They were wondering what was happenning and can't help but to make wild guesses of the identity of this man.

October's eyes darkened as she coolly said, "Who are you?"

Hearing her melodious voice with trace of coldness made him more aroused. Such a fine woman will now be his. Just thinking about it was enough to make his grin grew wider. The person who hired him told him to tarnish this woman's reputation. However, she did not expect that the woman his employer was talking about was this stunning. He can't let such a chance pass.

"You don't remember?" He chuckled darkly again as he reached out his hand to brush his fingers on October's jade-like face. But before his fingers could even get close for an inch, October already took a step back away from this dangerous man in front of her.

"Lanna, who is this man?" Peizhi roared in anger. Who was this uncultured man? How did he even get in here? Also, who was he to his daughter?

He turned his dark eyes on October and asked again after not hearing any answer from her, "Who is this man?"

October heard her father ask her a question yet did not bother to open her mouth to answer him. She was more concerned with the man in front of her. She was sure that she had never met this man but what was he saying now?

Thinking so hard, October's mind started to pulsate and hurt even more and was getting nauseous. Even if she was in pain, October still did not show it on her face.

Fu Yung looked at the man watching October with eyes burning with desire. Her eyes showed a hint of wickedness but immediately covered it up with a worried look.

The man snickered and said in a low voice yet it was still in a volume thay can be heard by some, "I can't believe you just forgot our wonderful night we spent together at the hotel."

Hearing him say this, the people gasped in shock. Was this about that scandal?

The people instantly looked at the man who was somewhat a little good looking but lechearous. This was the scoundrel that had a night spent with this woman?
