The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 140 - 140 Demon's Wrath

"Boss!" Assistant Yu shouted, looking nervous and out of breath. He barged into Lexus' office so quickly that he opened the door so abruptly that it slammed roughly on the wall. 

Lexus frowned as he looked at the fl.u.s.tered Yu Xi. Somehow, he felt like uneasy. Just a while ago, he felt that something was not right. It was as if something bad was about to happen and he could not sit still. 

Now, seeing his assistant with a dark look, his heart seemed to stop from beating and dropped into his stomach. His uneasiness grew.

This feeling was terrible. His eyes sharpened and his whole being was cold.

Lexus saw Assistant Yu dripping with sweat as he practically run at full speed toward Lexus. It was like he only took two steps to get to stand in front of Lexus' table.

"Young master, young madam, she-" 

Before Assistant Yi could even finish what he wanted to say, Lexus was already at his feet and hurriedly strode out of his office in large strides. 

"Young master, wait for me." Assistant Yu immediatey followed his boss. He saw that his boss was half walking and half sprinting. It would have looked hilarious but now is not the time to laugh. This was serious.

Something bad has happened to his young madam. 

When he caught up with hos boss, they were already in the elevator. Assistant Yu swallowed a big lump in his throat before taking a quick glance at his boss' face. 

Sure enough, his boss' face frosted over. It was so cold and hia blue eyes were glowing a dangerous light. It was so scary that he could almost swear that he saw his boss growing horns. It was as if he was looking at some devil...a demon in rage. 

Assistant Yu shivered in fear. He prayed that his young madam will be alright. If not, all hell break loose!

Lexus glared at the elevator number making his eyes turn red. His tight fists shook. He could no longer suppress his anxiety and punch the elevator wall. He kept cursing and cursing under his breath. His breathing became rapid as thousand thoughts crossed his mind.

"What happened?!" Lexus snapped his venomous eyes on Assistant Yu and growled. He was looking at his assistant as if he was looking at some treachurous sc.u.m. 

Assistant Yu flinched. "Her assistant called me and told me that something bad has happened to her boss and was asking for help. Judging by her voice, she was really worried and filled with urgency. She was-"

"I don't give a shit about her. All I want to know is my wife's condition!" Lexus cut his assistant off. He saw the slight displeasure on Assistant Yu's face but he did not care. What he cared for was only his wife's condition. 

"What else did she say?" 

"Nothing. She only said those and nothing more as I ended the call instantly and went to you." Assistant Yu replied. He too was worried about his young madam. If he was worried like this, how much more was it for his young master? He truly could not imagine the extent of his hurting and anxiety.

After a million years of waiting, the elevator door finally opened. Without waiting for it to fully open, Lexus' figure flew out of there. 

The employees and visitors in the lobby felt a gust of wind that blew past them. It was so sudden that they were left skeptical about this sudden wind. The next thing they noticed was the CEO's personal assistant running at full speed toward the exit. What was weirder was that he was sweating profusely and his look was that of worried and nervousness. 

Assistant Yi rushed to the exit where he can see his boss' figure. He gritted his teeth as he pushed himself to catch up with his boss. He did not care about his image right now. In fact, screw that image! As long as his boss won't turn the Halo Company upside down and that his young madam was okay, then he will be satisfied. 

Assistant Yu scanned the parking lot and saw his boss entering his car. He rushed to him and swiftly climbed into the passenger seat. 

Lexus did not bother looking at Assistant Yu as he instantly started the engine and stomped the gas to drive. 

Lexus gripped the stirring wheel so tightly that some crunching noises of protest sounded in the deadly silent car. 

Both men were tensed. Just that, it was of different reasons. 

The ride that will usually take 10 or 15 minutes to get to October's company was made short to barely 5 minutes. 

Lexus turned a dangerous curve and stomped the breaks, making the tires to screech sharply. 

Swiftly, Lexus jumped out of his car, tossed his car key to Assistant Yu's direction and rushed into the company. 

Lexus, having the innate oppressive aura he had, was unhindered as he stepped into the company. No one recognized him yet as his imposing, dark, and heavy atmosphere was too much for the normal employees to go against with. Plus, the demon-like scowl on his face was so scary that no one had dared to stop him. 

Who is this man? Is he an investor? A new shareholdler? Is he perhaps the CEO of Halo Company? 

All wondered what this man's identity was. They followed him strolled inside and directly went to ride the executive elevator. 

It happened so fast that they were not able to react. This really was something out of the ordinary. They turned to look at the person closest to them to ask ask a question yet they all had the same questions in their mind.

No one was able to fill their curious and hungry minds. They sighed and returned to what they were doing. 

Not long later, however, they saw that same man walk out of that same elevatoe. Just that, right now, he was no longer alone. 

In the man's arms was a woman being carried in princess style. He was then followed by a petite woman who had a distressed look and a tear-stained face. No, in fact, she was still crying her eyes out as she followed the two. 

"Director..." Yun Xixi cried 

Then the people realized that that petite woman was Yun Xixi. And she was looking worriedly at the woman in that demon-like man. They heard Yun Xixi call the "sleeping" woman as "director" so...

Ah?

Their eyes popped open in surprise as they looked again at the woman but the man strode out so fast that they were not able to look a little more at the woman's face. 

How abrupt he came in was how quick he came out. 

The next thing they knew was that the three had already got into the awaiting car that they did not notice before and it zoomed out. 

They were left with their eyes wide and mouths open. All have the same questions hovering over their heads yet no one can answer those for them. Their curiosity was killing them. The all swore that when they find Yun Xixi, they will bombard her with a series of questions.

For now, they have nothing else to do. The employees and other guests swallowed their questions down their throats as they continued to do their work with much difficulty.
