The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 137 - 137 Like A Little Boy

All they saw was a white blurry thing flying at fast velocity across the long table. The next thing was that it fell on the floor and their bound doc.u.ment laid flat on the tiled floor. 

Su Ki, having been the one to stand in front of them, saw the bound papers that was on October's hand vanished in a blink of an eye and the next thing he knew was a gush of wind that just blew past him, making him turned to stone and not able to move at all. With much difficulty, he looked down on his feet and the report was there.

He had heard about something like this had happened before yet he did not pay it any attention as he was confident with his work. However, being the one to experience this kind of situation right now, he found his insides shaking in fear, almost like it was doing some backflips and somersaults. Plus, his legs were turning into jellies and on the verge of toppling over.

The haughtiness before was nowhere to be seen. He looked at October with his heart hammering loudly in his chest and his whole body broke out into cold sweats. It was as if he was a mouse being cornered by it's prey. 

And then, in this deathly silent room, the voice that all of them dreaded to hear, including Yun Xixi, rang out. Even though her voice sounded so soft and calm, it was making them shiver in terror. 

"You said that this was a presentation?" October slightly shifted in her seat and crossed her legs. However, her small movement made the presenting team flinch. 

It was not that she was going to throw them another paper. Well, in the first place, there were no more bounded papers in front of her so they really should not be so nervous about it. 

October mockingly smiled in her mind as she gave them another deep and cold look. Hmph! Just from this reaction, she knew that they were starting to get nervous. However, nervousness was just that and not all will feel guilty about it. 

" Team Leader Su Ki..." October started, stressing the words "team leader" while looking straight at Su Ki, "...you call this presentation. Do you think that kind of "presentation" is passable enough in this company? What you did was something even grade schoolers can do. If I had to say, your team members may be able to deliver better than what you did just now."

The team members lowered their heads even more. They bit their lips as if to stop saying something from this. One of them give Su Ki a displeased look, as if she was annoyed at how timid Su Ki was right now with his body visibly shaking in fear.

October noticed the slight movement of the head of this particular girl. Her eyes narrowed as her thoughts swirming in her mind. 

"Th-this...Don't kid with me, Miss Park. I presented our report beautifully. What do you mean by grade schoolers? They're just a bunch of brats who does not know anything, much less presenting. And my team members? Only Lily is good, the rest are just poor people that just got lucky in landing in this job and got to be under me."

Lily? October's brow twitched ever so slightly. She noticed a small movement among the team members and realized that it was the same girl that just moved her head a while ago. So that girl is Lily, huh. Such a despicable woman. 

"Team Leader Su, mind your tone. Director Park is your superior. She is in a position several levels up from yours." Yun Xixi coldly said as she stood up from her chair. Did he think that he can do such thing in front of her? She wanted to say more but she saw October raise her hand for her to stop.

Reluctant, she still shut her mouth and stomped her foot before sitting back down on her seat. Her eyes were glaring daggers at Su Ki, but the man was too arrogant and did not spare a glance or feel intimidated by Yun Xixi. For him, Yun Xixi was just a little secretary, a "servant" that will do things their bosses wanted them to do.

Su Ki saw the displeasure on Lily's face while looking at him, so he was getting desperate. He liked Lily and had been trying to act cool in front of her just to get her attention. With that, he did all the things she wanted him to do to please Lily. With that, even if he was scared and really nervous i the face of October's imposing aura, he still gritted his teeth as he tried to calm himself and talk back.

Seeing no reaction from October, Su Ki had his confidence boosted more as a condescending smile formed on his lips. He was feeling pleased with himself as he stood his ground. With this, Lily won't be displeased with him.

"Miss Park, my presentation was painstakingly gathered by us, especially Lily."

"..." October remained silent as her eyes never wavered while looking at Su Ki. After a while, she opened her pink lips and said in her calm and cold voice, "Mr Su, I dare tell you that that "presentation" you did was like a little boy reading from a book. It was boring and not at all engaging. It was not catchy and the survey itself...well, questionable." 

After that, October's eyes slightly narrowed. The face of Su Ki immediately contorted in anger, as to be expected. 

Lily's heart dropped to her stomach and she broke out into another bout of cold sweats. She bit her lips and her fists that was resting on her lap tightened. 

This stupid Su Ki! Why did he even say my name before a couple of times? And now, hearing that last comment from October only made her even more nervous. Her eyes turning cold and a vicious light passed her dark eyes. She cursed Su Ki over and over in her mind.

Why did she even try to accomodate such a guy? He was quite good looking and had a really strong backing; however, he was a big dunce who only knows how to use his family background. She really did not expect that her plan was completely seen through. If she had known that Su Ki was completely useless, she would not have taken this kind of approach.

On the other hand, Su Ki was completely unaware that Lily gave him a vicious look for he was too focus on glaring at October. However, she was relieved that she was not the one reporting today. She looked at Su Ki and a sinister thought crossed her mind.

Yes! Be angry and clash to her head on! Infuriate her! Distract her mind and let her forget my name! With this, you can be at least a little useful for me in earning a lot of money! You can break my fall, be my soft cushion to catch me, be my stupid sacrifice.

A boy reading a book? ! Su Ki was completely enraged at this remark. His face was red in anger as his eyes glared fiercely at October's pretty face. He did not receive any insults before in his entire life, so hearing this right now had definitely touched his big ego.

"What did you say? It was like I was reading a book? And that something is wrong with our report? Ha! Did you even read it? Because for all I know, you have been nodding on and off on your seat and was clearly sleeping!" Su Ki shouted and pointed a finger at October as he gnashed his teeth at her with eyes filled with hatred. "Seeing such poor manners from you really makes me wonder how you got your job."

"Why are you getting so worked up about this? Why are you upset?" October asked nonchalantly, as if his anger toward her did not at all affect. At this, her eyes turned sharp and a cold and biting pressure filled the entire meeting room. "I am just stating facts. Like I said, you are incompetent and does not deserve your position at all." 

"You---you...!" Su Ki pointed his finger at October. It was clearly shaking yet it was not of fear but was of anger! He could not utter other words as he was too infuriated to say anything more. His blood was boiling in fury.
