The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 131 - 131 Heartstrings

Yun Xixi shifted from time to time on her seat as they waited for their food to arrive. She took a quick glance at Assistant Yu only to see that he was also looking at her with his dazzling smile. 

Yun Xixi was taken aback. She blinked her eyes furiously as she gave a second look at Assistant Yu's face as if there was some halo lighting up behind him. 

'Ah? What is this? Why is Assistant Yu's face glowing in my eyes? Why does he look so much dazzling and more handsome than usual? What's happening with my eyes? There must be something wrong with me.'

Yun Xixi shook her head. She was just so hungry that she was seeing things. Yes, that must be it.

"Is there something wrong?" Assistant Yu asked, with a casual tone in his voice. He looked at her with kind smile. He found Yun Xixi very pleasing in the eyes. Also, she was really cute too. Her thoughts were clearly written on her face. Speaking of face, she switches her expression so fast that it was kind of amusing and cute. 

"No." Yun Xixi abrutly replied, straightening her back unconsciously. When they locked eyes, her heart jumped up her throat. This made her so surprise. She could not also look at Assistant Yu's eyes any longer and so turned her head to avoid his gaze and laughed awakrdly, "I-its really taking long...for our food to arrive."

"Well, we can call them to inquire about when our food will be served." Assistant Yu raised his hand to call for a passing waiter. 

"No need. It's okay. I...I can wait." Yun Xixi dropped her head in shame. 

That's what she said, but she was in fact cursing a lot of how slow the cooks were. She was f*cking hungry that she was on the verge of exploding in anger. If not because she's with Assistant Yu, this handsome bachelor, she really does not know what she will do. Worst, she will start eating the people here. That's how hungry she was.

Touching her hungry belly, she grabbed her glass of water and drank in big gulps. She hoped that this water can tone down her hunger even for just a bit. She will hold on until the food will arrive. 

After a few more minutes of waiting agonizingly, their food had finally came. 

Yun Xixi looked at the piping hot dishes in front of her that her stomach growled in protest. She felt like a drool was threatening to escape and drop from her mouth and so she covered her mouth with a hand. 

Just then, she heard a low chuckle near her. Her head instantly snapped to it's direction and her eyes narrowed.

Assistant Yu's face was bright and had a very gentle and sweet smile. He looked at the big smile on Yun Xixi's face as soon as the food was served in front of them. What's more was that her eyes were sparkling brilliantly and if he was not imagining it, he saw that there was a drool on her mouth. It was really amusing too how she tried her best to cover it up and looking embarrassed while looking at him.

This smile immediately struck a chord in Yun Xixi's heartstrings. The heat on her cheeks increased. Why was he smiling like that to her? Wait, did he saw her drooling over the food? Guh! Damn it! Yun Xixi wanted to slap herself because of how she just embarrassed herself like this. She wanted to find a hole to crawl into and hide. 

"Let's eat. The food really looks delicious." Assistant Yu said as he rolled his sleeves and picked up his chopsticks. He then looked at the red-faced cute lady sitting across him and chuckled, "Secretary Yu, I am a big eater so you should also eat as much as you want because I can't guarantee that I can hold myself and not to leave you half the dishes."

"Wh!" Yun Xixi's eyes widened when she saw him wink at her. Her heart was beating so fast. It was really loud; however, it did not drown the voice of Assistant Yu and his laughter. "Don't worry, Assistant Yu. I will definitely not be left behind by you." 

Both then looked at each other with their hands holding utensils and then simultaneously, their chopsticks went to pick dishes. And so this started their "eating contest."

Meanwhile, while Assistant Yu and Yun Xixi enjoyed eating in a very harmonious atmosphere, Ma Rong was not at all enjoying his food. 

He looked at the dishes in front of him blankly as if the world had forsaken him, the gods had abandoned him. 

What the f*ck? You call this pork?! Ma Rong poked the meat cut into bean-sized that was on top of vegetables. Are they messing with him? Who puts meat on the name of this dish when it barely had any meat? Heck! He thought that it was a meat dish!

Ma Rong wanted to cry and he also had the strong urge of overturning the table in frustration. He turned to October to complain only for his eyes to stop on the dishes in front of them and his mind exploded. 

Was this restaurant making fun of him? Why were all of his dishes barely had any meat on them while October's and Lexus' dishes had been brimming with meat. He wanted to cry so bad but lack tears.

October was also skeptical of this. She remembered that she ordered dishes with less meat and more vegetables. She tilted her head to the side and wondered if it had always been like this in this restaurant. 

Suddenly, a soft snicker was heard right beside her. She turned to Lexus and saw his gloating face while looking at the person opposite of him which was Ma Rong. With raised eyebrow, she turned to look at Ma Rong only to see him pouting and on the verge of bursting into tears, though she highly doubt it to happen. 

October looked at Ma Rong's dishes and then looked at hers. Instantly, her face darkened as her lips twitched. This was really getting on her nerves. So that was why Lexus was showing that face for it was because of this. 

Sighing, she pushed the dishes at the center of the round table and said calmly while giving Lexus a hard look, "We'll share our dishes. With that, we'll enjoy more of the dishes in the restaurant."

Receiving October's gaze, Lexus harrumphed. Well, this was just his little trick. He knew the owner of this restaurant and so was able to contact her about this. 

"Let's eat." Lexus indifferently said this as his hands quickly snatched some big pieces of meat and put it on October's plate. 

Noticing this, October frowned and stopped Lexus with her hand. "I already told you that you don't have to do this. Eat properly."

"Okay, wifey. I'll do everything for you." Lexus sweetly smiled. He saw October getting her own chopsticks and put some vegetables on his plate with a serious look on her face as if she was contemplating on which vegetable to give to him. Seeing this, Lexus' smile widened even more that it almost reached up to his ears. 

Again, Ma Rong was left to sit in the background. He looked at the couple in front of him with envy as he grudgingly put a chunk of meat in his mouth. He also wished to enjoy having this kind of relationship. However, will someone even liked him as he was? 

While thinking this, he saw a cute waitress looking at him shyly. Noticing this, his smiled at her and winked, making the cute waitress to blush profusely.
