The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 125 - 125 Berry? Berry?!

October was securely held by Lexus. She was quite taken aback at his sudden action, but for some reason, she was feeling happy and warm inside. He was rough in some edges and awkward in a lot of occassions, but he was never one who cower and hide in a corner to confront his feelings. He was one who charges at her in full force as he showered her with unending and unconditional doting. 

As October was dazed, her gaze casually glanced at the shocked face of Ma Rong as he looked at her with teary eyes. There was hurt and betrayal in it, as if he was wronged bitterly by his lover. She raised her finely curved eyebrow at him. 

"Be-Berry...!" Ma Rong softly called at October who was within the arms of Lexus. She was just looking at him so indifferently, as if he was looking at some stranger.

What...what is this?! Her best friend had a man beside her and he thought that October would be be less cold than she was before but why was he feeling that she had gone worse? 

"Berry? Berry?! Who are you calling that pet name?!" Lexus hissed in annoyance as he looked coldly at the good-looking man before him. He looked at Ma Rong sharply. The man in front of him was wearing a peach-colored botton-up shirt tucked in white pants. His black hair was long that was tied in a ponytail which looked shiny and soft. His phoenix eyes looked alluring and his lips were full. He was also a bit tanned. 

And berry?! Was he calling his wife "Berry?" Who the f*ck is he calling that?! And does he even know that the one he was calling "Berry" already has a husband? 

"Berry, this man is bullying me!" Ma Rong did not look at Lexus because he felt that the man will eat him any moment now. He was clinging into the hope that October will not continue to be silent and save him now. If not, he really had the feeling that Lexus would skin him alive. 

October pursed her lips as she looked at Ma Rong's pathetic face. She knew that Ma Rong was enjoying himself despite knowing the danger that was coming his way. She narrowed her eyes and she can clearly see that Ma Rong was controlling himself from laughing, especially his eyes that were glowing with mischief. Then again, she still needed to step in lest further misunderstandings will arise.

"Lexus, this is my best friend, Ma Rong. Also, "Berry" is the pet name he gave when we were still in grade school. He's someone a treat as family so don't bully him." October calmly informed Lexus while also gently getting out of his embrace. Although Lexus was relunctant to let go, he still do so in roder for October not to get angry at him again. However, he still wrapped his arm around her waist and looked at Ma Rong with a glare. 

Seeing the threatening gaze full of malicious entent from Lexus to Ma Rong, October felt lazy to say something to him anymore for she knew that this man would barely listen to her, especially now that he was looking at Ma Rong with seething jealousy. Him acting like this seemed cute too, October thought. 

She then turned to Ma Rong calmly with not much emotion showing on her face, however, her eyes flashed for a moment. Ma Rong could notice the hint of embarrassment and pride glowing from her eyes. This was what made Ma Rong gave Lexus a second hard look. 

"Rong'er, this is Lexus...my husband." October bashfully said. She noticed the disbelief clearly written on Ma Rong's face with his mouth hanging wide open.

"Oh, so you really are my brother-in-law. I am Ma Rong, Be--October's best friend." Ma Rong greeted Lexus and extended his hand to shake; however, it was coldly ignored, making him to retract his hand awkwardly.

Seeing this, October then dryly coughed to hide her uneasiness and continued to say, "And this is Jane Song, my mother-in-law."

Mother Song then smiled sweetly at Ma Rong and extended her hand toward Ma Rong who then immediately received her hand and gave a light kiss as he smoothly said, "I did not know that such a fine woman like madam was already a mother for you are too young to have one. Excuse my rudeness, Madam. I hope you won't get offended."

"Oh my. Such a sweet young man you are. But you don't have to call me "madam," it is too polite. Since you are my daughter-in-law's family, you may also call me mother." Mother Song softly chuckled, looking proud of her own beauty. She then turned to October and brightly said, "You have a really good friend, dear. I like him."

"Thank you, mother." Ma Rong gladly accepted giddily. One could say that Ma Rong was the type of person who can lighten up the room in just his presence alone. He was cheerful and his smiles was a bright as the summer sun. 

All were happy, except for one. 

Lexus' face was so dark and his aura surged forth with great momentum toward Ma Rong. His oppressing pressure weighed down on Ma Rong, making his bright smile to stiffen and cold sweat broke out of his body. It was so intense. To have such a formidable and terrifying man like Lexus as partner, Ma Rong felt skeptical and a little worried at October.

Will October be able to handle someone like Lexus? This was the question that Ma Rong asked to himself. If so, he will grit his teeth as he will definitely retaliate and won't back down in protecting October from such a very dangerous man like Lexus. 

As someone who was closest to Lexus, October can feel the cold and dangerous aura that Lexus was letting out. She sighed inwardly. She looked at Lexus' deep frown on his face and marvelled that even though Lexus' face slightly contorted in anger, he was still looking so dashingly handsome. In every angle, in every frown, in every smile, Lexus still looked perfect in October's eyes. 

However, his loos was only a bonus. What made October fell for him so bad was his straightforwardness in things, especially his feelings for her, and his mature nature in dealing with his business and his child-like and clingy attitude in front of her.

Was that enough? Was that all she could say in terms of her being together with Lexus? For now, maybe because they are still starting. 

"Well then, let's go inside. You must have been tired from your flight and is famished. Don't mind Lexus. He is just acting like that because he is jealous of your relationship with his wife. Considering that you have known each other before he did must have rubbed the wrong way to him." Mother Song casually said, but this comment only made Lexus' face to darken even more.

Ma Rong let out a forced laugh at Mother Song's comment. He can feel a burning and piercing glare at him. What's more was that there was some obvious bloodl.u.s.t in it, making Ma Rong to swallow a lump on his throat with much diffulty. Again, he did not dare to look at Lexus because he knew that if their eyes will meet, he will immediately meet King Yama...definitely. 

So, even if he still had a lot of questions to October, he held it down. He must first ensure his safety because if he won't, he might probably lose his life right here and now. With that, he instatly accepted Mother Song's offer with a big smile on his jade-like face. 

"Yes, mother. I really am quite hungry myself. I still haven't eaten since last night." Ma Rong said.

 The group then entered the mansion and went into the dining hall for breakfast.
