The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 123 - 123 Hubby Meets Rong'er (Part 2)

As Yun Xixi contemplated on her plan of using her family connections, she shook her head in dismissal as she does not want to do it anymore, fearing that her family will force her to go back to their home. That was the least thing she will ever wanted to happen. In fact, this was the most absurd idea she had come up with. Why did she even think of that?

The freedom that Yun Xixi has right now was something she could never let go. Right now, she was happy and contented with how things are going for her. 

Now that her first idea was tossed to the trashbin, Yun Xixi was back to zero and has to come up with another idea. She opened her phone and searched the web and then typed "CEO of Heaven Company." Unfortunately, there were not many articles regarding this CEO, aside from his photo and his basic information. As Yun Xixi scanned through this, she almost tossed her phone in anger and frustration. 

"This cunning man, he must have took down all of the articled concerning him. So frustrating!" Yun Xixi gritted her teeth in anger as she glared at Lexus' photo. Her eyes squinted and have to grudgingly admit that the man was so handsome that he almost look like someone out of this world. The more she stared at it, the more convinced she was.

Lexus was an evil monarch, the King of Yama, that crawled out of hell to snatch a pure and beautiful angel for himself, and that angel was October. 

Did her innocent boss got blackmailed by that demon? As soon as that thought popped in her head, she gasped loudly and her eyes went wide. That might be so. That was the most probable cause as to why that her boss was with that kind of man. 

Yun Xixi was drowning in her anxiety and worry as she bit her lip with furrowed brows. She looked pale and her body broke out in cold sweat. She just realized that the lover (probably) of her boss was that person that have that kind of attitude and position, she could not dig his background that deeper. 

Still staring at her phone, Yun Xixi's eyes went wide again as she saw a somewhat blurry figure of a man standing behind Lexus that she seemed to have saw before. She pursed her lips as she tilted her head to the side and exclaimed, "Yes, that's right! This was the man that she saw while fetching her boss. So...he was related to that man...?"

This was big news for Yun Xixi. She did not imagine that that mild-tempered man would be associated with Lexus. With that, maybe she can get some useful information about Lexus. 

Yun Xixi felt giddy at this idea and wanted to give herelf a pat on the back for her brilliant idea. Unfortunately she has yet to realize that she was not in any way associated with Assistant Yu and does not even have his contact info. 

Meanwhile, inside the car, the people were shrouded in a deathly silence and cold atmosphere. The driver looked at Assistant Yu with his eyes but Assistant Yu only gave him a bitter smile while shaking his head. Something bad must have happened between these two buddhas. 

Lexus looked at the side of his wife's calm face. Since she entered the car, she did not say anything. What was more alarming to Lexus was that his wife did not give him a fleeting glance even once! He found himself in such a "dangerous" situation. 

Even though hesitant, Lexus slowly inched himself closer to October and sneakily yet slowly intwined her hands with his. He was so nervous that his hands seemed to sweat a little. If his wife would slap his hand away, what would happen to him? How will he react? He does not know and he felt scared. 

Lexus silently looked at October with his cold eyes that was tinged with worry and uneasiness. When he firmly held her hand and that she did not reject it, he felt somewhat relieved and a small smile escaped his lips. Then suddenly, he saw that she looked down at their linked hands, making him flinch unconsiously. 

October looked at Lexus' hand that had completely enveloped her hand. She can feel his warmth and the gentleness and affection that flowed with it. It was calming and made her feel so secure and safe. 

In fact, she was quite upset at how Lexus always gets jealous with almost everything and everyone, even if she was enjoying this attention a little bit. In spite of her getting upset about him, somehow, his little gesture immediately let her forget about that. Ah~! She really can't continue to being upset or angry with this man. She just realized that now. 

Fatigue immediately came over October as she comfortably leaned on Lexus' shoulder. She can feel that Lexus did not expect her to do this just based on the stiffness of his arms and hand. A silent smile then formed on her petal-like lips. In his presence...in his warmth, she felt like all her defenses can be let down. Was this they call trust? Maybe it is but it does not seem so bad at all. In fact, it was really good to have someone who you can trust yourself with. 

With her head rested comfortably on Lexus' shoulder, October's eyelids felt heavy and slowly closed to sleep. Not long, her breathing became quiet and steady, indicating that she had already fallen asleep. 

October was right, Lexus really did not expect her to lean on him. In his whole life, he had never been in this kind of situation wherein someone will dare to use his shoulder as a pillow. But then again, he thought that he had really never had any woman with him before. He then frowned a little at this thought. Having to touch a woman other than his wife? Hmph! He'd rather die!

October was the only woman who can enter his eyes, aside from his mother, that is. That's for sure! For him, other women are just flesh and bones with the same faces. 

When Lexus heard his wife's even breathing indicating that she has already fallen asleep, he then slowly, albeit stiffly, shifted her head to rest on his chest as he firmly wrapped his arms around her. He then affectionately kissed her head and closed his eyes to rest. He felt contented at this very moment, and unconsciously, a satisfied smile so small that it was almost unnoticeable formed on his lips. 

Both October and Lexus did not open their mouths to speak this whole time. For they did not need to say much as they were not good words in this kind of situation, they still did however worked things out in the most peaceful and silent way.

Maybe in this life, October and Lexus are the only people who can do this kind of thing. This was what both Assistant Yu and the driver thought. They were a bit envious of the couple sitting comfortably at the back but they were also very happy for their young master to find a treasure that became their young madam. With that, they don't have much wish, only for their young master to lessen his asurlike presence.
