The Billionaire's Contracted Wife Chapter 48

When Tanaga opened the door, he looks like the devil himself.  He hated it when people bother him, especially during his honeymoon.  He was ready to chew the customs officer's ass off, the one standing right in front of him.  He was glaring at him with the look that said, ' get the f*uck out of my face, or I'll send you overboard.'

Ashley only stood beside him quietly without uttering a word.  She wanted to see what Tanaga would do at that moment to the customs officer.  

When the Customs officer saw that the wife of the Japanese person in front of him is a Filipina, he raised his eyebrow and looked at Ashley from head to foot.  After examining Ashley, the contour of his face suddenly changed.  He smirked while he was staring at the couple and in deep thought.

The way the Custom Officer smiled before he spoke, someone could tell that he didn't have a good impression of Ashley. In his mind, Ashley is one of those sea butterflies that flock the oceanfront.  He believes that everyone was in cahoot and lying about the two being on their honeymoon.

The Customs Officer was about to speak, but Tanaga beat him to it, and from the tone of his voice, Tanaga's pissed off.  The customs officer was speechless and could only stare in shock.

"I want you to know that I didn't appreciate the ways you're trying to intimidate my wife and I.  Do you have any idea who I am? You dare to knock at my door, what gives you the right?!"  Tanaga angrily told the Custom Officer.

"Leave, both of you and go back to the mess hall.  We will follow later!"  Tanaga shouted as he ordered the butler and the Customs Officer.  He then slammed the door on their faces.

The customs officer was so stunned that he only stood there and unable to move.  He couldn't believe that a foreigner was acting high and mighty in front of a Government Official from the Philippines.  ' You wait and see, and I will detain your vessel here and make you pay for what you just did... Hah!  Do you think you could insult me and get away with it?  Not in this lifetime!'

As the butler and the customs officer walked back to the mess hall, the Customs Officer couldn't stand it any longer and asked the butler.  " Tell me the truth, are the two married? Because if they lie, I can sue them and tie this yacht here in the Philippines." The Custom Officer said proudly.

The butler's eyebrows rose sharply as the Customs Officer said. However, he did not respond and walked straight to the mess hall. ' Why don't you wait and see what happens to you when my boss arrives.  You would wish you have never been born.  Hahaha!' The butler maliciously thought.

After half an hour passed, Tanaga and Ashley still haven't arrived.  Tanaga did it in purpose to upset the custom officer.  He didn't appreciate the way he was questioning him and the way he was looking at his wife.  That's his way of punishing the officer.

Unbeknownst to the customs officer, Tanaga first called a high-ranking official in the customs department to complain about the customs officer.

When the higher up heard about it, Tanaga was told to wait half an hour, and he would go there personally to handle the matter.  Therefore, Tanaga and Ashley waited for the person to arrive before they made their way to the mess hall.

The timing was just right when Tanaga and Ashley arrived at the mess hall.  The person that Tanaga spoke with also just arrived at the same time as them.  The Custom Officer suddenly stood up when he saw who was coming.

Tanaga, who had just entered the mess hall with Ashley, smiled and greeted the upcoming Commissioner of the Philippine Bureau of Customs ...

"Welcome! CEO Jones, how are you? Why didn't you tell me that you were coming, I could have been here earlier, and you would not have been subjected to this kind of treatment. " Commissioner said as they shake hands.

"Oh 'I wasn't planning to come, but my wife and I decided to have our honeymoon here. By the way, I want you to meet my wife ... This is Ashley." Tanaga said as he pulled Ashley closes and put his arms to her waist.

"Nice to meet you!" The Commissioner said with a sweet smiling face while he stretches his hand for a handshake.  'I wonder whose family is she from? I need to know, and maybe someday she could be useful. ' In the Commissioner's mind as he waited for Ashley to accept his hands.

"Nice to meet you too!" Ashley greeted her with a beautiful smile.  She was about to accept the hands of the Commissioner when Tanaga quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him to the chair.

No sooner than the Commissioner sat down, the butler immediately brought him drinks and snacks.

"Commissioner, please taste the chef's specialty stew."  Said the butler with a mischievous grin on his face as he looked at the customs officer still gawking.

The custom officer that was very rude at first is now in awe.  He couldn't believe what he was seeing.  Especially when he saw how the Commissioner was about to kiss Tanaga's behind, he suddenly shivered all over his body and began sweating bullets...

The Commissioner did not even greet the employee; he just started drinking and chatting with Tanaga and Ashley.  After a while, Tanaga got up and approached the Custom Officer.

"I'm sorry! I forgot that you were waiting for us ..." Tanaga called Ashley, "sweetheart, come on. The Customs Officer needs to talk to us.  We can't make him wait, remember what he said earlier...

When the Commissioner heard Tanaga's blunter, he quickly took action and faced his subordinate.  He stood right in between Tanaga and the officer as he spoke with authority.  

"What are you still waiting for? I'm already here, and you don't have anything else to do here.  Therefore,  you can leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out!"  He then turned around and apologized to Tanaga...

The butler took a quick glance at the Customs Officer after he served the food for the Commissioner. Once he knew that the officer was looking, he smirked at him then walked out of the mess hall.

'If I were you, I would pray to all the Gods that you knew off, for I'm sure by the time you arrive back to your office.  You no longer have a job.  Mark my word!' The butler thought as he smiled while he walked towards the kitchen...
