The Billionaire's Contracted Wife Chapter 42

Tanaga was already finished eating and was reading the newspaper when the Filipino Captain of the Yacht arrived.

"Good morning sir! Did you call me?" The Captain greeted while standing and waiting for Tanaga to invite him to sit down.

Tanaga put down the newspaper that he was reading and looked at the Captain with a straight face. He then ordered him, "get the yacht ready. I want us to sail right now!" The Captain could tell that Tanaga was not in a good mood and still a little upset from the tone of his voice.

"Sir, the yacht is always ready to sail whenever you are... If you don't mind me asking, where is our destination?" The Captain asked, kindly.

Tanaga's eyes glimmered, and without blinking an eye, he answered. "To the Philippines, right now!"

Captain's eyes widened as he heard their destination. He said goodbye quickly and happily informs all his crew the good news. Everyone was excited and jumping for joy when they learned where they are heading... To their, motherland, the Philippines.

They would be able to go home and visit their family once they docked. With that good news, all the crew happily prepare to sail, and the voyage started quickly.

Ashley has no idea what was happening outside the lounge. She was in deep thought about how she would apologize to Tanaga. She's feeling remorse for she knew what she had done was wrong, but she really didn't mean it.

She needed to explain to Tanaga that... It just so happened that she's very tickled, and she easily surprised. Is not like she was doing it on purpose, and In all honesty, she didn't like the fact that she was always hitting the most critical part of Tanaga's body.

That's why shes keeps on thinking that Tanaga was right. As he said, she could be the cause of him not being able to produce a child in the future, and it saddened her. Ashley was still contemplating how she was going to apologize to Tanaga when the door suddenly opened.

She thought that it was Tanaga, and she put on the sweetest smile she could conjure, while ready to ask for forgiveness. However, when she turned around, she realized that it wasn't Tanaga, but instead, it was the butler carrying a tray full of food, Ashley's face suddenly saddened.

"Oh', it's you! Good morning! Is Mr. Jones already awake?" Ashley greeted the butler while inquiring at the same time about Tanaga.

"Good morning, to you as well ma'am! Yes! Sir Tanaga's awake. But why are you still calling him Mr. Jones, aren't you already married?" Asked the confused butler while looking at her.

"By the way, I do apologize that I didn't wake you up last night because you were sleeping so well and it's better that you stay away from each other for a while." The butler said with a frown on his face, Ashley could tell that he was worried.

"Oh' that's alright! Thank you for understanding. I'm also worried that Mr. Jones might get mad at me, and change his mind about our contract. Nevertheless, in case he wants to get someone else, I understand. " Ashley said sadly to the butler while looking down on her shoes.

"Ma'am, don't worry. It's not that easy to change his mind. Anyway, why don't you eat breakfast first, and you could speak with him later. Look at all this delicious food the Chef has cooked for you. " The butler lowered the tray to the table.

Ashley just looked at the food in front of her. Yes, it is delicious, as the butler said. Unfortunately, she has no appetite because she's afraid of what will happen when Tanaga confronts her...

The butler felt sorry at Ashley's sad-looking face, and he could sense that she's an undeniable worry. Therefore, it is best to leave it alone and let things progress as it should be; he would give her some time to think things over so she would know what to do.

Once Ashley was left alone, she decided to stand and looked out the small window to think. While she was peeking at the little round hole of a window, She noticed that the yacht seemed to be operating and they were out of port. "Hmmm, where are we going?" Ashley asked herself nonchalantly.

Little does she knows that their destination was her motherland the Philippines. It was Tanaga's surprise wedding gift to her...

[Hmmm, wondering what kind of gift could Ashley give to Tanaga that it would be good enough as a peace offering. Would they actually, and finally do it? Let... see!]
