The Billionaire's Contracted Wife Chapter 149 - Not Again!

Ashley, who was about to stop Tanaga, suddenly changed her mind and just gave up. ' Is this how the Japanese act when they have a little authority? I thought they are very respectful because they are always bowing and giving respect... I guess I was wrong.  Give them a little power, and they wanted to wave it all the time.  Too bad, he crossed the wrong person this time.'   Ashley thought as she watched the king of them all, wondering what his about to do? 

Tanaga, in turn, decided that HR should hand the cafeteria manager.  He looked at Ashley and was about to tell they would be leaving when his stomach grumble... "Grumble ... Grumble!" 

"Hahaha! That's what you get because you didn't even eat breakfast, am I right?" Ashley asked while smiling

"Come on!  Let's go!  It's late, and I'm hungry too.  Why don't you treat me for lunch, and let's go elsewhere? I don't even like the food here." Ashley said it with the sweetest voice.

Suddenly Tanaga's anger subsided and let the kitchen manager go.  He just stopped talking. " You're right, let's get out of here, or I might end up killing someone here,"  Tanaga said it loud enough for the kitchen manager hear.

"Kill! Who? Me ?! Hahaha, you better watch out ... You don't know me, and I am related to the owner of this company. I don't care who you are. !!! I will make sure that you get fired!" The manager shouted as Tanaga and Ashley were about to walk out of the office.

Tanaga stopped, and Ashley ends up staying too. He then turned to face the kitchen manager and looked at him from head to foot before speaking. "Last, I know, I don't have any relative with your kind. So I'm sure you're not my relative!" He once again turned around to leave, but this time they continued going without looking back.

A lot of the employees were excited when Ashley and Tanaga came out. The two just ignored everyone and continued walking out of the building.

"Oh, my God! It's my first time seeing a close-up of our CEO ... Wow!" Says an employee from the accounting department.

"Me too! I've been here for five years now, and this is the very first I've got to know our boss very closely. Hahaha!" One of the seniors from the accounting department happily responded.

When the two were away, everyone returned to the queue to continue getting their food ...

With so many restaurants, they can visit and eat ... Ashley's accidentally selected one of the branches of Alden's family restaurant.  She picked it because it's the only restaurant nearby that serves Filipino food to eat, and Tanaga let her choose a Filipino restaurant.  

The restaurant is beautiful and classy, so Tanaga liked it. As they entered, they were greeted immediately by a beautiful woman.

"Welcome! Table for two?" Ask the restaurant Maidtre D'.

Ashley just nodded with a smile. As he admires the ambiance of the restaurant, his eyes widen. "Wow! This place is so nice. Tan, listen to it, or else they have an aquarium." Ashley said as she grabbed the husband's arm.

Tanaga was over the moon due to Ashley's sweetness towards him.  He looked where Ashley was pointing, and he also liked what he saw and admired how big the aquarium with all kinds of live seafood.

"Please, follow me!" The Maitre D' invited them to take them to their table.  "Do you want to sit by the window or in a private area?"   She asked kindly full of respect to the customer while smiling sweetly to Ashley.

"Anywhere is fine; we are not choosy,"  Ashley replied with a smile.

"By the window!" Tanaga replies at the same time as his wife, which confused the hostess.

"Sir?!"  The Maitre D' stopped for a moment and looked at both back and forth.  'Which one?  I'm getting dizzy with the two of you?' She thought as she looked at them, waiting for a response. 

When Ashley heard what her husband said, she went ahead and told, "Window!" 

"Whatever she said goes!"  Said Tanaga at the same time once again with Ashley.

"Sir ma'am?!" Asked the Maitre D' once again, but this time she was only looking at Ashley.  However, Ashley, at the same, was looking at Tanaga before... "Hahaha! Hahaha!"  They both laughed at loud when they realized that they had been answering in unison in which confuses the Maitre D'.

"Whatever my wife said!" Tanaga told Maidtre D' to finish the conversation.  With that, the Maitre D' stopped asking a question and took them to their table, which is located in a private area with a window.

As they walked towards their table, the Maitre D' was in deep thought. 'Sigh! It's too bad that he's already married.'  While she keeps glancing secretly at Tanaga.  'His wife is so lucky, for he looks like he's so in love with her.' She was thinking as they continue walking.

From the Maitre' D' point of view, they look like the couple is newlywed and she envies them.  However, since the man seems like VVIP, she decided to take them to the most private room they have in the restaurant.

As they were about to reach the private area, Ashley accidentally glanced at one of the private rooms when the door opened for the server to bring in the food.

Her eyes bulge out of the socket when her eyes caught who was inside the private room.  Face to face seating across each other and busy talking was none other than Alden Sanches and COO Koji Hanada.  From her point of view, it seems they ware speaking about business matters based on all the doc.u.ments laid in front of them.

She walked as fast as she could to make sure that Tanaga would not have a chance to see them.  It is not that she has anything to be afraid of since she has no relationship with either one.  She was rushing and didn't want to be seen, because she wouldn't know how to explain why they are out eating lunch together again.

Once they were inside the private room, she finally able to let out a breath of air.  "Thank God!" She said after she let out a sigh!  Which had caught Tanaga's attention and gave her a curious glance?

"Are you alright?"  He asked with concern in his eyes for his wife.

"Of course!  Why shouldn't I be?  I'm just hungry!  Hahaha!"  She jokingly told him, afraid that he would be able to see through her facade.  'Why in the world did I have to glance at that room.  Now, I'm so nervous for no apparent reason.  I need to get my head together, or I will get shipped back to the Philippines in no time.'  She thought as she sat down.

They didn't have to wait long for their waiter to come and take their order.  Once he received their order, he quickly left the couple and came back with the drinks a moment later.

He first gave Tanaga his drinks, and then he was about to hand Ashley her juice when she quickly grabbed it from the server's hand and drank it in one gulp.  "One more, please!"  Said Ashley while the server was still stunned from what she had done.

However, since the server is professional, he didn't show it to the couple.  He took a bow and "Yes, ma'am! Right away!" He then quickly turned around and left to get a new glass of juice for the thirsty customer.

Once the server left, the room becomes eerie quiet.  Ashley's mind was far away in lla land, while her husband was happy enough to stare at her, thinking she's so innocent, and he loves everything about her.

As he was staring at her, he couldn't help himself and grin with his dimples procured deeply indented on his handsome face.

When Ashley saw him with a smile, she thought it's a good time as any to ask about their relationship.  She took a deep breath before opening her mouth to speak.

"Tan, can we talk?  I have something to ask you, and it couldn't wait.  Can we?"  

"Love, can we talk later after we eat?  I'm afraid that you might not like what my answer be, and you would walk out on me again without letting me know."  He replies truthfully with a smile on his lips.

She felt terrible after hearing his reply because it's the truth.  He has the right to think that way since she did leave him the last time they had lunch together and didn't bother letting him know.  She left only because she didn't like the way, he had spoken to her.

She has no choice but to agree, sit back and wait until they had finished eating before she would ask him again ... Even though she accepted defeat this time, her eyes were sad and it clearly showing on her beautiful face.

This concerned Tanaga as he saw Ashley's face down in sadness. He didn't know exactly what to do so he could once again see her smiling face...
