The Billionaire's Contracted Wife Chapter 106 - Stuck In The Traffic

Unfortunately, just when Tanaga was in a hurry to get to his destination, there was traffic.  So he kept pressing the horn of his vehicle.  *HONK!!!!  HONK!!! HONK!!!*  "Get the f*ck out of the way!"  Tanaga shouted even though they cannot hear him from the outside since his windows were closed.

Tanaga's bodyguard was always ready to fight for him to death, but this time...he could only shake his head due to his nervousness from the way his boss was driving.  'Boss, if possible, please be careful. I still want to get married.' He thought while just quietly seated on the passenger side.

Meanwhile, Tiny has a problem because he couldn't contact Tanaga. After trying a few more times and Tanaga still did not answer, he decided to send a text message to make sure that his report will be received.  [ This the name of the restaurant ma'am A shl ey went in to... Please, hurry! ]

Tiny decided to follow and went inside the same restaurant that Ashley and Alden entered.  His original plan was to remind Ashley that he is there and watching. However, he thought that Ashley might not want it to be known that she has a bodyguard who's following her, so he decided to get a table near where Ashley and Alden sat. 

Tiny saw that the man was a gentleman, and he frowned for his boss. 'Hey, someone already owns the girl you're with.  Just wait till he gets here, and you'll be dead for sure!' Tiny thought.

Alden pulled the chair so Ashley could sit.  "After you!" With a sweet smile plastered on his face.  It was undeniable he was delighted.

Ashley sat down, "Thanks! You don't need this.  Hahaha!" She was also happy with a beautiful smile on her face.

After Ashley sat down, Alden went to the seat in front of her and sat.  He then received the menu that he host handed to him. "Arigato!" [Thank you!]  Alden said to the Japanese hostess after receiving the list.

"Dōitashimashite!" [Your welcome!]  The host answered and bowed before leaving them so they could study the menu first.

A few moments later, the server arrived.  "Good day! I am your server for today...May I take your order now, or you need a minute more?" She asked the two but was looking mostly at Alden. 'This girl is so lucky. Her companion looks like a celebrity.  I wonder if she is an assistant?' The waitress thought while admiring Alden.

Instead of answering the waitress, Alden looked at Ashley.  "Do you already know what you want to eat?" He asked while his eyes were full of joy because Ashley accepted his invitation.

Meanwhile, Ashley did not even open the menu in front of her and shyly answered with a barely audible voice, "Alden, didn't I tell you that will only order drinks and I don't have time to eat. Is that ok?" She asked worriedly.

"Sorry! Because I was so excited, I forgot! Alright, we'll get drinks." He then looked at the waitress who was waiting for their order.  "We will not have anything to eat, only drinks." Then he ordered their drinks.

The waitress' eyebrows shot up when she heard that the two would not eat and order drinks.  "That girl is so stupid. This is her chance to eat an expensive restaurant…. Then she'll order just juice?  What's her problem. Doesn't she know how delicious and expensive the food that is served here? Hmmph!" The waitress whispered to herself, which Tiny heard when the waitress passed by his table.

Tiny clearly heard the insult of the waitress, which she didn't notice because she was busy talking to herself.  "Excuse me, miss?" Tiny called to the waitress of Alden and Ashley as she passed by,

The waitress stopped walking and looked back.  "Yes, sir? How can I help you?" With a smile plastered on her face.

"Is there a rule in this restaurant that you cannot order just drinks?  Because, even me, I will only order drinks!" Tiny angrily asked.

The waitress was shocked by what Tiny said and did not know what to do.  She kept on bowing and saying sorry. "Apologies!" She continued bending while walking back towards the bar to get the drinks that Ashley and Alden ordered.

"So' how have you been? And what are you doing here in Japan?"  Alden asked Ashley when the waitress left.

Ashley, who was very distracted, was jolted back to the present when she heard the voice of Alden.  "Huh? Are you asking something?"

"Hahaha! Does it look like you're thinking something as far as the Philippines? I said, how are you? And why are you in Japan?  There, I asked in Tagalog so that you'll understand?" Alden joked.

But he was not conscious of the tone of how he said it.  Ashley interpreted it that he was insulting her. So Ashley, who was shy at first, suddenly raised her eyebrows.

"Excuse me, my dear!  You don't have to translate it in Tagalog or any other language, for I do understand it clearly.  It is just that my thought was somewhere else just now. Therefore, I did not realize you were asking me a question." Ashley angrily answered Alden in straight English. 

Alden was amazed at how Ashley answered in fluent English without any accent.  "I'm so… sorry! I was joking, and I'm not insinuating anything at all. Not even a moment had I thought of looking down on you." Alden also answered in English as he asked for forgiveness.

"Alright! Alright, can we speak in Tagalog now?  Even if I have a lot of English words now in my arsenal, I am still more comfortable in speaking our language." Ashley said with a slight smile.

"Hay, thank you, and you're not angry anymore.  So, going back to my question, how are you, and why are you here in Japan?" Alden repeated his question because he evidently wanted to know if she has a boyfriend.
