Murong Ye curled the corner of his mouth into a light smile that contained enormous strength. His narrowed eyes were throwing off a dangerous dim light. Lisa and Fourth knew Murong Ye the best. Murong Ye's look overwhelmed them silently, as their boss hadn't showed that look for too long. Both of them lifted their eyes to look at Carl, showing sympathy for him. Carl seemed to have had a tough day. He deserved it! How dare he say that to the boss!

Carl raised his eyebrows and looked at Murong Ye, carelessly giving him an ironic, contemptful smile. "Master Ye, don't you think you are everyone's master when others dare not fight with you? You should know that the bright period you are experiencing because of that event won't last for life. Today, everything changed. You are just a has-been!"

Murong Ye lowered his eyes slightly. No one could see his expression now. They could only hear his frightening voice as if they were stationed in the icy lake at the bottom of the valley. "Oh? Really?"

Despite his great confidence, Carl couldn't help shivering upon hearing Murong Ye's words. However, to avoid being discouraged, Carl pretended to be calm and smiled. "Hahaha... Master Ye! Being blindly proud will only lead you to dying in an embarrassing manner."

Carl's people guarded every door of the underground casino, while some of them even broke into the office.

Carl picked up a cigar casually. After lighting it up, he stood up with a smile and approached the table. He leaned against the table lightly, cigar smoke spurting from his mouth and filling the whole office in a second.

Lisa sneered. "If you've done it, then why must you ask? It's meaningless!"

Carl flushed suddenly and looked sharply at Lisa. "Lisa, did you forget that your problem was solved thanks to my help?"

"Oh, funny! Do you think that I wouldn't have been able to address it without you? Everyone knows that you volunteered to help to obtain a connection with the Murong family. Everyone knows that you could win that business over David only by having a relationship with the Murong family!"

When Carl's thoughts were revealed by Lisa, he got even angrier. His old face became as ugly as it possibly could.

"Alright, stop bullshitting!" Murong Ye interrupted them simply.

Lisa nodded at once and said, "Tell us, Carl. Do you want it over quickly, or...?"

A bad feeling welled in Carl's heart before he asked nervously, "What do you mean?"

"My! So dawdle! What a waste of time! Let's start now!"

"Wait!" Carl interrupted Lisa. Although his people might have reached the headquarters after the alarm rang, it could take a lot of time to send people over from the headquarters.

Carl had some people here. However, it seemed that his people had no advantage over Murong Ye's super-bodyguards. Lisa, Fourth and Murong Ye hadn't joined in yet, and Gong Yu had no knowledge of this. Carl was not at all certain that he would be able to leave safely. He was trying to buy a little more time. Gong Yu sat in the outermost place next to Murong Yunxi. One of Carl's people, who understood Carl's action, attacked Gong Yu right in time. Then, Carl took Murong Yunxi into his arms and stepped backward, watching Murong Ye, Lisa and Fourth as he stayed alert.

Shortly after she kicked Carl's private parts, Murong Yunxi silently took out the mini handgun Murong Ye had given her and pointed it at the center of Carl's head.

A bright, beautiful smile formed in the corner of Murong Yunxi's mouth, making her beautiful face more attractive. Unexpectedly, Carl stood still for a while and gazed at Murong Yunxi as if he was obsessed.
