Herald catches the skinny guy from behind and without having anyone notice it, he puts him on his shoulder and takes a quick turn towards a little street where it looked like there won't be many people in there.

That wasn't just it, Herald ceized a small bullding and jumps from the ground right towards the top.

the building was small, but that is impossibly impossible to do for any normal human...

It's clear he's now relying on his Qarin's power!!

Always a sigh of relief when he doesn't let him down, he didn't for quite some time now!

Maybe it was just about Herald getting powerful enough to handle it.

The whole process took about 5 seconds!!

The guy didn't even know what is going on, he just found himself standing in front of Herald, on top of a small building.

"...Wh...What.. Where am I???" He asks calmly!

Herald. "Don't panic! I know how you feel...You must be in great pain lately, am i right?"

The guy keeps looking careless and weirdly calm.

Herald. "I am none of that, but i'll help you, just stand still and don't make any unexpected moves."

Herald gets closer towards the guy, and puts his hand on his forehead.

"Ether! Now is your turn."

Before Ether could start undoing the curse.

The guy punches Herald straight to the face!!!

Herald did not see it coming because he didn't use his screen powers at the moment, he still somehow can't simultaneously do it all the time, it exerts great energy from him.

Herald gets some steps back and holds his punched nose. The moment he looked again towards the guy.

The devil who casted a curse on the guy, appeared!!

Right behind him, with a smile that is rightly called, DEMONIC!

He spoke with a voice so growly and loud.

"I KNEW YOU WERE ONE OF THEM THE MOMENT I LOOKED AT YOU!

TRYING TO SAVE SOMEONE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!"

Herald gets worried sick, but Ether calms him down.

"Herald!! keep your focus, do not fear him because he feeds on that.

I can tell he's a regular demon, don't worry too much!"

Herald tries to keep his composure and replies.

"Yes...What of it you disgusting creature?

Trying to cast curses on people because you have been cursed already?"

"HAHAHAHHAHAHAH!! IF YOU ONLY KNEW THAT YOU HUMANS ARE MORE CURSED THAN WE EVER ARE!!

The guy though, looks confused but still, he talks with a sad melancholic tone, the curse was already clear on him.

"Who...You're talking to?". He can't see the devil!

Herald, being very unexperienced about this, did not know that it was better to prevent that from happening!

The guy keeps extending his muscles and joints in a fucked up way, almost breaking his bones and contorting them!

Ether. "That is body possession, when a human gets in a very weak state of spiritual existence, it becomes an easy task for demons to take control of it, whether from afar or just like this case.

Also it adds up more to their power, they feed on the human's negative energy.

I should've told you this before, but now it will be quite a task to try and complete this work."

Herald asks him for a favor. 'Can you...not come here yourself?

This is an emergency!"

Ether. "I can't, it isn't easy to leave our world to your world, and i may encounter a lot of demons my way myself!

I can only assist you from here."

Herald then accepts the idea that this is his job to do, although he doesn't have a set plan. But he'll create one in the course of upcoming events!

"What is it? You're too scared you can't move an inch?

Should've known better than to get on a demons business if you're just a begginner."

The devil rushes towards Herald, trying to take him by the throat.

But he dodges it! and grabs his arms from behind to paralise his movement.

The fucked up thing is the guy could easily turn back his body to the front, as if he has no bones to be broken.

"HEHEHEHEHEHEHEEEE! Got you!" He punches Herald with his head.

Ether. "That cannot work Herald, you're afraid to hurt the man's body, but it's not even his at this point. The only way to let him out is to suffocate the Demon until he can't maintain the possession."

Herald. "So i have to go all in on it?

Won't that leave him with wounds that may kill him afterwards."

Ether. "It possible, but that is the only way."

Herald finds himself in a very tight position, but what should be done, should be done!

He now takes the first step, his speed surpasses that of the demon.

Directing two strong punches to the face that threw blood on the air.

The demon tries to counterattack and holds Herald from his clothes then throws him out from the building.

Herald uses the wall as a ground and jumps up again to regain his balance.

"You got some skills i must admit...Who are you?"

The demon asks, as he's keeping his distance.

Herald. "Why do you feel the need to know!"

"I've been here quite a lot and i never saw you, not like i see every person but someone like you can't come out of nowhere!"

Herald. "I am not interested in exchanging information."

"Really? I doubt that..."

In fact, the demon was only trying to gain some rest and time, planning for a surprise attack.

He continues, as he's walking slowly towards Herald.

"You see...I have valuable information about your mother as well!"

Herald's face looked different the moment he spelled "mother".

"YOU!!!"

Ether. "Herald calm down! Don't believe him...He's planning for a trick."

"Yeah yeah! Your mother..You see I am actually tired of doing bad, we can join forces.

I recognize you as....

DEAD!!!"

He got closer enough and just like before, he lunched a big amount of spit out of his mouth towards Herald!

Thanks to Ether's warning, he was able to dodge it,but some of it...

"SHIT!!! It got me on my hands!!!"

Ether. "Not good..."

The demon bursted in laughter. "Hhahahahahahahahahha!! YOU HUMANS ARE SO EASILY SWAYED BY FEELINGS IT'S LAUGHABLE!!!

ALL I HAD TO DO WAS GET A PART OF YOU. SLOWLY YOU LL GET ROTTEN BY MY VENOM!"

Herald gets back and tries to take it away, but it wouldn't be removed.

"Venom!!

What Venom???"

Ether replies. "He just means a curse, I don't know what is it but it is by any means, not good."

The demon. "How do you feel now? So broken and weak!! A minute from now you won't even be able to move."

Herald looks worried, but he doesn't feel any effects such as the demon is saying!

"Ether!

I don't know what he's talking about but, it's not affecting me."

"...You're sure?"

Herald. "Yes I am. But i'll act like i am in order to lure him into getting out of his body.

That's when i'll kill him!!"

Ether. "Do you even know how to kill him?"

Herald. 'No...But i just feel like ...

If i just punched him as hard as i could, and grabbed him by the throat he'll burn for some reason.'

Ether looks for the first time, shocked!

Herald never knew that burning Demons is the way to kill them. Just to have that idea being planted in his mind, was quite surprising for the Jinnie.

Herald executed his plan, and it went just like how he wanted...

The demon looked ecstasic about his kill, as soon as he turned his back to leave.

Herald jumped on him!

As hard as he could, punched a fist that was so strong it went through the demons back and out of his chest!!!!

"AA....UUGHHH.....HOW??

HOWWWW COULD...YOU??

You...are immune?????

I SHOULD....TELL....."

Herald takes his arm out of the demon's guts, then crashes him into the ground!

And chokes him to death!

Herald's eyes were so different from anytime before, even if it's a demon, this is actually a kill.

Taking a soul out, doing it slowly even...

The effects of doing that, can not be underestimated!

In fact, when a demon realizes that his state of being is close to death, fire comes naturally from within his body and burns him.

It probably is just a way of saying that...

Hell, starts now!!

The demon disintegrated to ashes, as Herald looked with disgusted eyes...

The cursed guy has lost consciousness already, and is just laying down on the roof.

It was better this way so they can exert the curse out without having to deal with him as well.

Ether recites the spell, which Herald repeats after him.

'...How do we know he's cured?' Herald asks.

'Look at his energy waves.' Ether replied.

'True! they look stable...' Herald says, as he let out a sigh of relief.
